this area has not changed all that much since the time i grew up in East New York in the n1940s 1950s and early 1960s. i joined the military in 1963, served till 1969, Vietnam veteran. in 1971 i left New York for Florida so seeing this is bringing back some memories of my growing up. thanks.
Great tour. New Lots Avenue has always been a place of high energy. Good to see that the streets are relatively clean and active with much commercialism. Missing are the old bakeries and the old Biltmore movie house. But good just the same.

The government ignored Brownsville and east New York til this day. It’s really a dump. Only 2 neighborhoods I. Brooklyn that isn’t gentrified
