Yeah there are a few knives I haven't gotten for the same reason. A blacksmith I know told me that D2 can be a good steel, but if you heat treat it properly it will perform incredibly well. That's been my experience with the knife so far. It refuses to go dull.
Sweet, I didn't know there are 2 types of D2. Do you know if they usually give the better D2 a special name or anything so I can keep an eye out for it?
It’s too bad they discontinued this shape. It’s probably my favorite one they make followed by the Serpent S
