  • "Let them come, there is one dwarf yet in Moria who still draws breath!"
Today we are finally able to continue our look at the Fellowship models and bring you a comprehensive guide for one of the most stalwart and toughest members, Gimli Son of Gloin!
As with the rest of the Fellowship, Gimli attended the Council of Elrond to answer the call and pledged his support to Frodo and the quest to destroy the ring. Stubborn and sometimes hard headed, Gimli made life long friends with everyone especially Aragorn and Legolas with whom he spent the majority of his time during the War of the Ring.
We will talk you through the method to create subtle differentiation between all the rich browns and reds to make sure no two sections look the same but also have an overall uniformity which will give you a visually stunning model and bring life to this epic hero of Middle Earth.
We havent yet decided what next weeks tutorial will be, although we have narrowed it down to a few including: Gildor Inglorian, Gamling (yes with the flag) or Tom Bombadil so plenty more to get excited about!
We hope you enjoy and as always.
    Happy Hobbying!

Really useful video, Gimli has lots of details and colours seemingly hard to figure out using paint colour pallete. Thanks for the great painting tutorial, awesome job

Thank you kindly!! He can be daunting but its just balancing the various shades of red and browns thats the most challenging part i've found

'I have looked the last on that which was fairest'. Loving your work. Would love to see a cave troll at some point.

    Hello Tom,
I am very happy to stumble on your video today. I have a ton of LOTR and SW models waiting to be painted and your video’s are a great inspiration for that. The quality is really high, you got a good voice to listen to and easy to follow steps with background information on why and how, for the less experienced people like myself.
Your website is nice, who knows if I ever want something commission painted or support you in some other way I would like to. For now I got a lot of your video’s and pictures to catch up on.
Have a nice day and keep making these cool video's!
    Tim Hendrikx

The best thing about doing these videos is just having people enjoy them and I truly hope you are enjoying the content we're putting out, without you guys and your constant support, we wouldnt be where we are now! Thank you so much again andI hope you are safe and well!

    This is beautiful, Tom.
One question - any chance you could show yourself applying the shades (Nuln oil or Riekland flesh, etc.)? I would love to see how much I am supposed to be using, as may be using too much.

We have looked into Patron before and it's something we've had on the back burner for a while, maybe its something we should look into again
