Is anybody else gonna mention the acting here? So many little touches of facial expression and body language that show the feelings the words describe. But my favorite is the halting way Tommy puts down the phone after that last "but that's not the way it feels".
When I was on the road solo, Jim Croce was a third of my act. I think you two should work on some more of his, and even think about doing some seals and crofts and possibly England Dan and John Ford coley things. Very nice work.
Thank you! I haven't, though I do cover a handful of Fleetwood Mac songs (never learned any Don Henly though). Brooke and I have always been big Jim Croce fans, so it was just a question of which one we wanted to do together.
Jim Croce was my mentor. I became a songwriter because of him. This is very very well done, but I disagree with the above commenter that the male vocal out does Jim's. I don't think there has to be a value added to it I think it's just different and that's super cool. See the movie, "She Lives," in which Time In A Bottle is featured, for the inspiration for THIS song.😮
Hold it. I was an admirer of Jim Croce back in the day. This is the best cover yet done, by far. The male voice actually outperforms Jim. The female voice adds an extra wrinkle into the narrative. Although honesty makes me add that the female voice is a bit less compelling. Nonetheless, an outstanding cover. Congrats.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH thank youuuuuu 😍🥰
Very well done. You really tell the story.
That's truly the best cover of Operator I've ever heard!
Love this; so soulful❤❤❤❤❤
Bravo.
You stayed true to the original guitar part without copying it. Not an easy task! And in this case the sign of a good cover.

You made me cry.

You both look fabulous, you both sound great, and kudos for views of Edinboro Hotel Bar! Amazing work overall!
Proud of you both :)
Thanks Tony! It felt right to film it at the Hotel Bar. I think I've played more shows there than anywhere else!
Fantastic!
Thanks Val!
This is perfect
Wow this is great. Ever think of doing leather and lace?
Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words! Brooke Surgener and I had talked about doing a Jim Croce song for ages. So thrilled to finally get to do it!
