Harold is right a friction clutch is the ticket or a reduction box. Even o; the slowest setting it would be pushing a drill or end mill to quickly. It’s a very good idea I need to keep that in mind 👍
I have the same motor to drive the power feed on the z axis of my mill , i used a 2 :1 reduction on mine and have used it to drill 25 mm holes in steel . It slowed down a bit once it loaded up but that isn’t a bad thing and makes using the boring head a right pleasure . My set up is similar to stefan gotteswinter except he uses a different motor and o connected a rotary encoder to the blind side of the gearbox shaft so i could set up a feed rate display using an arduino and a lcd - also works well ! . One day i will fit the auto shut off up so i can set it up to bore a hole and get on with something else but i think there may be a great many beers had before that eventuates !

A motorized quill is exactly the same thing I'm trying to do. I figured a 160kb-cm gear motor would generate 400+ lb-force on my the quill. Haven't figured out travel limits, clutch disengage for rapid retract, etc.

Mulligan Farms would be ok IF they paid good wages like equivalent western wages ALL THEY ARE DOING is sending many western countries business,s bankrupt, we either LOWER OUR WAGES to their level or we will all be sweeping our streets.or they raise THEIR WAGES.
@@MIGASHOORAY that is slowly happening, right now they are living in bad housing, cramped, but they will want better, just as we did, they will become more educated and move away from the worse jobs, just as japan has done inside the last 50 years
Can anyone help me, where can i find this kind of high torque gear motor. Or in which machiniaries or which equipment this motor is used....actually i am looking for such motors to use it in a Christmas Crib...hope in coming year i can use it....kindly suggest me....
nice piece of kit, I am no expert in torque needs but do you or anyone else think that this can be used for a lathe powerfeed? , I have a Myford M and the slowest feedrate I have found is too fast, the lead screw is 8tpi and the change gear teeth are too big and not enough space to add another 2 compound gears, at motor 800rpm the carriage travels aprox 6" per min, a friend has a clarke mini lathe and at 2500 rpm the carriage speed can be set to approx 6" per min and I think slightly less
I have bought four of those motors ranging from 10 to 40 rpm, to use as power feed for my lathe compound. I have a Burke Millrite Milling machine with a fine feed, so I am planning on making a power quill feed also. 4rpm would be a bit slow for my needs I think. Another trustworthy Banggood review!
good to know, do you know if there is enough torque for a main carriage powerfeed? , I have a Myford M and the change gear teeth are too big for enough speed reduction, lead screw is only 8tpi it could have done with being atleast 16-20tpi and smaller teeth and gears for the banjo size

Looks like a good idea. You might want to make a clutch function for faster long moves.

They come upto 460 RPMs,
