Just coming out of the woodwork here to say, simply pasting on a wolf head on a human body would probably not work well, from an anatomical perspective. Not if you want your anthropomorphic wolf to have human-level intelligence, anyway. Think about actual humans for a second. If you think about it hard enough, we are kind of anthropomorphic apes. Yet there is a very good reason why we don't just have chimp heads on upright bodies. Our brains need to be a whole lot larger than those of our primate relatives. We need larger brains so that we have a larger encephalization quotient, which is the measure of how much of our brain mass is dedicated to understanding our surroundings as opposed to how much of it is dedicated to managing our bodily functions. The need for a larger brain completely changes the anatomy of our skulls, and it's in a way that goes beyond just having a larger braincase. Humans actually have neotenous skulls - our heads have basically the same proportions as that of a baby ape, but scaled way up. That translates to a larger, rounder brain, a smaller jaw, and a shorter snout (in our case, it's so short we don't really have a snout). If you want to see what the equivalent of this would look in an anthropomorphic animal, a good place to start looking would be in a lot of japanese art of anthropomorphic (or as they call it "kemono") characters. Our jaw muscles only attach to a small area at the sides of our braincase. The rest is literally just skin and bone. Actually, birds do have belly buttons. The yolk sac serves the same purpose as a placenta, is attached at the same point, and leaves the same kind of scar once the last of it is completely absorbed. The scar is just covered by feathers and fades more completely, so it's hard to find in adults.

"cattle doesn't have horns" - because they are de-horned very young, the horn-growing corneum damaged to prevent horn growth - as in the cattle business the horns create a lot of risks and problems. Look at some photos of cows from ~40 years ago, before the practice became commonplace.

"Hellooma boss"
this channel keeps pumping out bangers, the day i subscribed was truly a blessed one
-Flawlessly pronounces several words in a foreign language, even those from a dead language
-Then utterly butchers Helluva (hull- Ova) boss like he just got punched in the throat mid-sentence

horrible video, love it
The spiders shorts are most likely just worn around the abdomen and connected back above it with buttons or velcro.
The same often applies to characters with normal vertebrate tails - the concept is known as "furgonomics", and also includes hats with earholes.
New furry lore just dropped
bug furry here! the "how do they get their pants on" thing is a problem we've all struggled with at some point. the overwhelming consensus is that we don't think about it too hard because designing clothes for nonhuman body plans is hard

@@questwalkerko genius, you're hired
I personally would go for the capes or robes route.
Solutions:
-Nudity/less clothing is more accepted
-Tying/buttoning/strapping bits together
-Poncho
Cat guy here. Skirts are your friend when it comes to tails. Robes and dresses are genderless for felinthrope societies in my world building.
The bigger question is how the fuck do you handle chair design?
Finnish jumpscare
Polish here, sarna absolutly does not mean cow, it means "deer". Krowa means cow
2:06 JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, dude! I swear you're doing this intentionally! Calling it "Helloova Boss" WITHOUT changing your tone of voice, saying that sentence as if nothing was wrong... that's a fucking masterclass in humor, dude. I've only gotten this far in the video, and that ONE sentence made me laugh my ass off, keeling me over, tipping me to my side, and bringing tears to my eyes.
I'm subscribing, because the introduction to this video (for example, the way you just brush past monstergirl) combined with that one subtle jab I just talked about, gives me the impression that you're something like the Monster Hunter ecology guy but with an excellent sense for subtle humor.
“This is Fang from Snoot Game.” Delivered in the most nonchalant, deadpan voice. I am _deceased._
This was surprisingly educational

8:01 if your name really is phenix and that was actually an accident you decide to keep in the video, you have an incredible name.
Motherfuckers will look at the most obvious joke ever and think it was real
THANK YOU. Fang’s design from GVH/Snoot drives me utterly insane because she is a DRAGON! Six limbs and scales is western dragon. Four limbs and feathers is pterosaur.
real intellectual content right here
this is much different from his usual content
The fact that you reviewed both I Wani Hug That Gator! and Snoot Game, while COMPLETELY IGNORING the dumspterfire that caused them to spawn in the first place (Goodbye Volcano High) is karma in its purest form.
In any regard, this had me howling with laughter. The rant was beautiful and had decent logic.
1:10 small correction, "sarna" means a roe deer, not cattle. The polish word for cattle is "bydło"
If you subtract points for a reptile having hair, you should also subtract points for a bird having boobs and a bellybutton.
taking notes cause I sometimes do draw monstergirls and I like being as biologically accurate as I can.
I'm surprised that this video exist.
Very good work on the video
Are we not going to address the fact that the bird has a belly button, implying that it was BORN from a WOMB like a MAMMAL
Actually, birds do have belly buttons. The yolk sac serves the same purpose as a placenta, is attached at the same point, and leaves the same kind of scar once the last of it is completely absorbed. The scar is just covered by feathers and fades more completely, so it's hard to find in adults.
@@racookster So it's literally a chick? That's... concerning. 🤔
That bird has breasts. I don't think the naval is the weird part there.
huh, you learn something new everyday@@racookster
8:40 I actually got to touch a piece of shark skin once, when I was a show of how violins are made. Apparently, it was used as sandpaper before sandpaper existed. It was rough when i slid my finger in one direction, and smoother when in the other.
6:08 but it’s a dinosaur, it could have had waterproof feathers, like a duck.
Finally the content I've been looking for.
"whats the point of the mixture"
my guy have you been paying ANY attention?
also if you DO need a detailed explanation as to what the point of the mixture is i recommend "On the Ethics of Boinking Animal People" by Patricia Taxxon right here on TH-cam
haha, gods I love Patricia Taxxon
I can always appreciate someone being incredibly pedantic about things that do not matter, great job
"cattle doesn't have horns" - because they are de-horned very young, the horn-growing corneum damaged to prevent horn growth - as in the cattle business the horns create a lot of risks and problems. Look at some photos of cows from ~40 years ago, before the practice became commonplace.
imagine putting on your shorts backwards, you button it up, but keep the zipper down. That might be how the spider put on those shorts.
I have never been a furry, but i need more of this. This video is actual peak

11:42 advice: there's a thing where you can say they/them when you don't know a person or for example a character's gender, so that you're not really making any wrong assumptions
He knows that, he was making a joke
This was actually a fun video and i think artists can learn a bit from this. Subscribed!
I see you're a man of culture as well
Loona is not culture
You have a fucking porn addiction
GREAT VIDEO PHOENIX! (I’m not spelling that right)
Sarna is actually a type of roe deer
How do you cram in so many jokes yet you can keep the (somewhat) serious nature of the video.
10/10
Tbh I think the femboy spider does have padipalps, if you look down from the "cheekbones" you can see that the appendices go over the collar
Padi plaps
Damn. I'd love to send you some of my designs. I often focus on being so accurate that under a certain pose thy just look like the animal. Sort off.
But your video opened my eyes on so many things.
Mine Usualy assume the fact that the people creating them was just having fun. And did not care for genes. But Avery thing still derived from them. So if something doesn't make sense it's a choice, while if it genetically make sense. It's just how it happened naturally when he just mixed them together.
But knowing how thoses legs cam to be with insects VS humans. That cool that's a new info.

Theres a certain feeling, one of complete confusion only achieved by a thumbnail like this.
Wait. Did you mean something else by "Sarna,, means cattle? In Polish cattle is "Bydło,, and if you want so say cow, it would be "Krowa,,. Sarna is deer. Idk if im stupid or just confused.
Saw this and instantly saved it to watch later, hope i dont regret this
