- Tonight, I colored a fun flower image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Although my technique is unconventional, it's relaxing and easy to do. Just make sure you have better overhead lighting that I have! I like the videos long. I use it as a substitute for TV and do things while watching. I like getting behind in my watching because when I am caught up then there is nothing to watch!

They have done some. They are quite hilarious. Look for the “Tiny Hands” video. Several of them are together during one of their get togethers. Absolutely hilarious! Do not try to eat or drink watching it unless you are ok with food or drink spray ending up everywhere as you burst out laughing unexpectedly.

You are painting like a pro
This will be challenging for me since I began many years ago with Landscapes in oil. Then Acrylic landscapes. So coloring in the lines? I'm up for the challenge. I'm really spending hours on TH-cam. Gina, I'm 66 now. My hair began falling out after my total hysterectomy. I started taking Hair, skin n Nails & really saw new 1 in. short hair growth. Then I stopped for a couple months to test. Oh my heck!!! Just brushfulls. I got so bothered by my hair looking thin. So I permed it. Mind you my hair is nearly to my bum. Very few grays and I quit being bottle blonde maybe 7 years ago. I'd kept blonde nearly 40 years. I want my time in Art and cards. YES!!!!

Thank you for doing this video. I have a very hard time getting the zigs to work for me. Now I can try again using your techniques and hopefully have a better outcome. I also have my bad eyes nowadays so I found the ink pad over the image a great idea also. I wish I could catch your lives but it seems I’m always at work or sleep from working all night.

Bristol Smooth paper makes blending with Zigs easy and fun.

@@sharonb.7867 hi, I live in Adelaide, Australia and bought some at Camelot Studios. Also Amazon has it too. Makes a huge difference and I wouldn’t even try with watercolour paper any more. You’ll love it.

That’s amazing Tom! I have a friend that did the Ultraman Canada. I was part of his crew as it was over a three day period. Total respect for Ironman athletes they are pretty amazing. I have never seen so much endurance. Great card too Gina 😉😉😂

Beautiful! Never heard of these pens, but love the effect! Normally, I use SU items.
Thanks for sharing the “crafter” way of using the Zig real brush markers. I find the Arteza brush markers have a bigger brush head and is difficult to get into small areas. I will pick up some Zigs and see if working in small areas is a little easier. I really enjoy Tom’s guitar playing softly in the background and the truly informative, inspirational tutorial. Thanks again Gina, you’re the best!
I bought a set of 24 Zig markers to start. Then added a 24 set of Arteza. I found the colors complimented each other very well. So later I added single Zig color markers to fill colors I wanted. I also added a full set of Arteza at one point. I like having both options. It is nice having both sizes of brush tips. The zigs can get into tinier places easier. The Arteza can be nice to fill a bigger spaces faster.
@@Amywazwaz06 thanks for the information. I thought the Zig brush tips were smaller than the Arteza ones. Love my Arteza markers but is difficult to get into small areas. Thanks again!

I keep the watercolor papers straight by imagining "hot press" is as if you used an hot iron on it. smooth. I use Bristol Smooth with my ZIG's. Watercolor paper with my Tombow Dual Brush pens.
I love it when you paint or use pencils on cards. So pretty! I have learned so much from you! I would love to have a 5x7 master layouts. Is that a possibility?

I totally failed at this. Dont think I had the right stamp for white. So I tried again in black and embossed it and used zigs. It was ok but I somehow managed to get smudges everywhere. Complete fail. Maybe I need a different paper.

After this I immediately went to Amazon to find the markers but found them in different price points from 3.99 each to 7.99 each. Could you tell me which you were using please?
If you buy a set like a 24 set or 36 set, they will be much cheaper than individual markers. The Arteza are a great alternative to Zig’s. They cost much less. Their sets are a great way to try watercolor brush markers if you are not sure you still like them. The brush tip on Arteza is a big bigger but not much. But you can still do small areas.

Is detail powder different than embossing powder?
It's finer and doesn't swell up as much which allows for finer detail in the images.

If we are a regular customer (who purchases way too much stuff) and our email is in your system, do we need to send our email in if we would be chosen to win the card on a video? Oooh. I suppose some of our name on our TH-cam ID is not the same as our accounts. Duh. I only recently changed my ID to one that did not show exactly who I am. That was not a very smart question on my behalf. Majority of people do not have their ID as their actual name like I use to.
I guess I have to start watching to see if I even get drawn as card winner now.
I am sure the people just have missed that they are the winner. Who would not want a hand made card you did on a live? No one I could think of.
