A friend of mine has been on disability for depression for 20 years.
This year he got so busy gardening that he would forget to take his meds some days.
He started to feel so alive.
He started eating better and lost 70 lbs.
He slowly got off all meds.....antidepressant, anti-anxiety, cholesterol, ....
    He is doing so well.
Praise to Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit.

I’m so glad to see that this is becoming more recognized that people have been misled that their brain is lacking serotonin. I got put on an SSRI antidepressant during a health crisis that caused me to be hospitalized. I had severe anxiety because I was gravely ill and was close to dying. The doctors were quick to give it to me. They failed to tell me I could get off of it once I got better. I was not given informed consent telling me how difficult it is to get off of them. I have worse problems now then I ever did before I was ever on them and I’m having to micro taper in order to minimize any withdrawal effects.

My dad was killed by a drunk driver in Jan 2002, a few months after 911. Even though I had peace in my heart knowing that he was with Jesus, I began having disabling panic attacks causing me not to drive at all for a year. The fear became so great! I knew that wasn’t going to work well so I began to seek help. After trying almost every ssri under the sun one helped and I was able to get back in the drivers seat in 2004. I was told by many doctors about the low serotonin and it seemed logical. This pandemic, by way of the Holy Spirit has really opened my eyes to the trustworthiness of pharma and health providers. I can say right now I’m very upset I have been deceived, made to believe I have to take this ssri forever. How do I even begin to seek not taking this medicine I have been taking for 17 years! I’m afraid it has altered how my brain should work on its own because of taking it long term. Not once has any of my prescribing psychiatrists Ive had suggest to remove it. Being lied to is the worst 😭. I am thankful for the help at the time of dealing with those terrible panic attacks, but there shouldve been a plan besides this med forever, to work on the underlying problem and removing the medication as symptoms improved. Now what do I do? I am a wife, mother to two young kids, whom I homeschool because my son has dyslexia, caretaker of my mom and help with my disabled veteran father in law. I can’t be set back by symptoms of withdrawal or injured cognitive function because of this medication. I know my answer is calling on Jesus to help me and be with me .

At 43 years old, I’d been depressed for most of my life. I started studying the Bible and went into a deep learning curve following Joyce Meyers and Dr Carolyn Leaf. I was shocked to learn that I didn’t have to think every thought that came into my mind, but could reject and even replace anxious and depressing thoughts with the Truth! It took much prayer and perseverance, but after 2 years my lifelong depression left! I’m 57 and have never been depressed since. I can now recognize when the enemy is flooding my mind with lies, and can quickly bind and renounce them. It’s so freeing!

I'm so glad that you're speaking about mental health. Mental health is so important that it effects every area of our lives. I struggle with OCD and depression (especially seasonal depression). I'm no psychologist or phsychitrist but with my experience with OCD and depression, I'm wondering if having another mental health condition affects you having depression later on and I'm also intrigued about light therapy helping with depression. I have an aunt that says using light therapy has helped with her depression. I've been paying attention to what makes me feel more motivated and makes feel better and lot of times, it's when I'm outside in the sunshine. Cloudy and dreary days make feel down. I feel like it's a good idea to be aware of what doesn't seem to make you feel good and what does make you feel good

Great informative video. I attest that more meds more side effects but even specialists are baffled because they only know what can be examined from past stats & today. Sadly we won’t know until after more people bring it up to their doctors. For over 20 years I informed my doctor that the meds I’m on has caused me depression & terrible mood changes but was quickly ignored and not true doctor said. Until now info everywhere online, found a doctor to help me switch to something else but not working but was able to wean on lower dosage. Christ is our greatest physician I am still praying for complete healing through Him as nothing is impossible with Him but in the meantime we all know that we live in a fallen world and food, meds, things we consume all play a factor including our hereditary factors etc. No one size fits all so it’s difficult as well for science to find solutions. Anything going into our bodies must be taken with caution. In my case it’s so hard for me to trust doctors but I must trust that our sovereign God loves me enough that I can pray & trust Him to find me the right doctor & meds if need be to help me live out my earthly life well for Christ.
    💪🏼💞
This ties in with my new topics I will be posting on my YT channel on Christian mental health. Thank you for being informative.

I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that antidepressants ruined my cognition. As long as i took the pills I was ok. i could focus, still had some depressive days, but not like afterwards. I started showing signs of Parkinson, and despite what drs say Tardive dyskinesia is not "normal". It is "normal" in the fact it presents in most patients that take a serotonin reuptake. zoloft, paxil, effexor,.), but it is not "normal", because your body should not make involuntary movements; unless you are having a seizure. Depression is real and it is debilitating; however, i would advise to seek counseling, THE LORD, and maybe more hobbies. I know it is easy to say but difficult to do; some days you can't even get out of bed. But don't take any antidepressants because you will always have to. It's like a body builder, once they cease building mass it turns to flab and fat. That is the same thing that happens to your brain. Also, inhaling your carbon dioxide is not healthy, nor helping any pre-existing mental/behavior issues. Our crime ha risen in EVERY city, our children are losing out on their education with the closures and consolidation of schools. During the pandemic students lost 2 years of learning. Ages 5-8 lost very important tools to learn math properly, and teens lost all interest in school. These things that are going on in the world are already programmed to happen regardless of what the media, social media platforms, and the govt say. Unfortunately we live in a world that does not belong to us. Decisions are being made on "our behalf", but how can a millionaire know what a $10k a yr adult need? How can a group of people that have always had money and options tell you how to live your life and make life changing decisions for you? I pray more people would give Jesus a chance and read the Bible to see that God told us what was going to happen. We all have free will given to us by God, but as you can see our free will is being infringed upon. We have been tainted by mass media feeding us tragedy 24hrs a day, our children, and some adults, have been "influenced" by TIC-TOK, Instagram etc "influencers" These people start a trend and next thing you know you have slap your teacher challenge. I want what everyone to understand we are too blame for many issues in our homes and we creates some of our mental issues. We are too consumed with how people look at us, how people feel about us. I want what she/he has, if I cant have it, they cant either, or i will do anything to get what I want. Ask God for help with an honest, humble, and hurting heart. Poor out your soul to him in prayer, things will change. I pray for good mental, physical, and spiritual health for everyone.
