One of the most underrated instructors in golf on TH-cam, hands down. Love how you could summarize 10+ years of my struggle in golf in just 20 minutes 😂😂😂
This structure series is masterful. Thank you T. I picked up your content three weeks ago, coinciding with being unable to play (course closed), due to persistent rain in Wales. The long alignment stick ‘trace the line drill,’ the lanyard drill, the short stick drill and now this internal elbow drill have been enormously insightful and helpful. I am more flexible, contact in the net is a thousand percent better and I now have an understanding and a coherent plan for my swing. I do these drills on a daily basis because they make a difference. Developing positional ‘feels,’ and reproducing the impact position in the house have been so beneficial. Your methods, philosophy and drills positively work. Thank you so much.
So great to hear feedback like this! Can’t thank you enough for sharing! Glad to hear this resonates w/ you and you’ve seen gains from it! Keep up the great work and let me know if you need anything!
What a great set of drills to do this winter. Logical sequence with clear intent for improving flexibility and building new neural pathways. Practice doesn't always make perfect. But perfect practice does! I think you have outdone yourself with these.
😮This lesson explaining external vs internal rotation of the humeris and subsequent turning versus lifting was transformative for my swing. Was never aware of why I could only sometimes make a proper turn . Thank you for this.
Trevor, Excellent instruction on the arm structure of the golf swing. Thank you. Any plans for videos on leg structure and how the knees should move during the downswing?
Great stuff Trevor I can see how doing these movements fast and slow helps to make that neurological change and translate to the course. Every week we get a master class cheers
What is the approximate angle of the humorous in relation to the shoulders? If you held your arm straight out in front of you=90* and straight out to your side=0*. I think I'm too close to 0*
So the starting point straight out in front of me would be 90* to target line (parallel to the spine) and the tricep would be parallel to the ground (this would be a neutral starting position that we can move into external rotation (now this is also me saying if you are standing straight up and down like the stretch in this video initially). From an actual setup position, the humorous / shoulder would start out externally rotated. Elbow will be closer to mid line (center line of your shirt). From there the trail forearm would work behind this in the backswing assuming you have the mobility in it. Let me know if this makes sense and thanks for the comment and question!
Thanks for all the interesting content. Great job!!!!! Realize my right arm doesn’t have the flex you do. I definitely get internal with right elbow. Makes me feel rushed and lack of room to execute a proper transition resulting in throw over the top I can’t seem to stop doing. With less flexibility in the right elbow what should I look to do as a matchup to offset until I can do the gain more flexibility doing the stretches?
I have a player that has this same issue I coach and we did find a way to sync it up quite nicely for him! If you’d like, schedule a consultation call here with me and I’ll be able to explain it to you better with visuals vs typing out text: calendly.com/trevorsalzmangolf/free-15-minute-consultation
This is just to bring awareness to the movement. What you want to try and do is practice making backswings at higher speeds to gain comfort and feel more dynamic doing so. This will change the motor pattern of trail shoulder but need to be able to do this with speed as well.

Very good instructor
Thank you! Please let me know if you ever need anything!
Great video but must say having something clamped in my right armpit feels really restrictive. Also my shots are going right?

What video talk about the 45 turn - spine extension - side bend . Can’t seem to find it again . Perfect for myself!
