  • BEAUTIFUL PENDULUM PAINT ART done by swinging 2 separate cups with different colors of paint. I Painted to 31 x 48 inch canvas a red color then proceeded to swing the blue color first over the canvas. Then followed that up with some white paint in the second cup. I got inspired to do a little pendulum since I saw the video that everyone has seen on FACEBOOK " titled ARTIST MAKES AMAZING PAINTING: IT'S MESMERIZING " . It currently has almost 250 million views so I thought hey why not try to do one and see how it comes out!!!
    I used 30 lb braided fishing line to hang the cup.
    The cup is an 18 ounce cup which I filled all the way up.
    I cut a 1/8 inch hole in the bottom of the cup using a drill bit.
    I added pouring medium to the blue paint because it was a bit thick but I did not add any medium to the white paint.
    I also have a Facebook page and an Instagram and I will put the links to those below so don't forget to check those out as well because I do giveaways for paintings there pretty often!!!

      Hello ChelC, Your technique is quite mezmersing to watch. Have ever considered a 2-point pendulum? Attach on end of a screen door spring to the ceiling and the other end tied into the main string. The resulting pivot will give you a more random geometric pattern.

    Hi Chelsea, love your work. I have been experimenting how big is the whole that you use? I am using a 1.5 l water bottle with a plastic top/lid and a 3mm whole. It seems to be way to thick.

    • @chelcpaints8810
      @chelcpaints8810  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cup I use is 24 oz with a 1/8 hole. I like using house paint because the stream is very consistent and most of the time it’s perfectly ready to use. If anything sometimes it may be a tad on the thick side I can just add a little water until I reach the desired stream constantly checking the flow.

    • @chelcpaints8810

    Also do you find house paint peels up easily of plastic/silicone or do you find it cracks of in small chunks as I have only bought 1 bucket of house paint and it cracks off but I wasn't sure if that was just my house paint or if it was the same for all house paints?

    • @chelcpaints8810
      @chelcpaints8810  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you saying it peels off your canvas paintings or just the plastic your pouring over or the silicon sup your pouring out of? I find that it peels right off the floor from the plastic that I lay down to pour over. Which is nice because I can use the same plastic over and over. But it is super stuck to the canvas or plywood 🌈🎨😁

      @@chelcpaints8810 sorry I meant thar it comes off the silicone mat that I work on in little cracked chunks rather than a peeling off like the usual acrylic paint (it stays fine on canvases and wood boards) but I have only bought a 10l tub of white once so was unsure if it is the brand or if all house paints are the same. Thanks for your help again, really appreciate it.

    • @chelcpaints8810
      @chelcpaints8810  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may be the brand or quality of paint. I know some paints are like $40 a gallon and some are like $12 a gallon. So I’m sure the higher quality paints work better. I use mostly OOPS paints that were expensive but are discounted for one reason or another. So they tend to be like $40 plus per gallon but I get them for less than $10 a gallon. And those paints work great

      Im glad you are enjoying them ! Yes I can do that in my future videos definitely! My base coat is always dry for the pendulums... I have not tried it with a wet base yet 😄

    What did you mix with the blue? I’m new to painting.

    • @chelcpaints8810
      @chelcpaints8810  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t mix anything with these paints. For the pendulums I do, it’s always house paint straight out of the can :)

    • @MAITAISKY25
      @MAITAISKY25 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You said you mixed it with something, cuz it was thicker than the white.

    • @chelcpaints8810
      @chelcpaints8810  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MAITAISKY25 ohhh your right in this one I actually did have to mix in some floetrol because of the consistency. I have it in my amazon shop under paint pouring supplies www.amazon.com/shop/chelcpaints

      The hole on this pendulum is 1/8 but on some of my other ones I use a cup that has a 3/16 inch hole. Check them out. I have a handful of pendulums already in my channel. Don’t forget to subscribe and thanks for watching 🌈🎨😁

    Good day! Do I have a lot of questions? Do you have an Instagram or WhatsApp? What kind of paint are you using? Are you waiting for the first coat of paint to dry to apply a different color? Do you need to stick a small load to the bucket ?
