I may be wrong but I think you used gauge completely wrong. I’ve watched other videos and nobody has used their finger. I think your supposed to put gauge on trigger and without using your finger move entire unit backwards till it breaks than you’ll have accurate reading
So, with the particular system it can be used like this. I just found it to be really sensitive. As I have been using it more and more. I just found you have to commit to the pull. A video I watched said it was intended to be used that way. But, I still like to use the arm and pull. I'll send the link to the video. In just a sec.
Thank you, and I'm not sure if I answered but I have been looking at chassis from masterpiece arms to put this action and barrel on for now. Then eventually piecing together a custom .308 with it and a defiance action.
@@lukas-ik7qe it definitely is. However as the bergara stands by itself, it is an impressive rifle. So I'm not immediately worried about it but the trigger, muzzle brake and bipod upgrade really make it feel amazing. I have the atlas BT46-LW17 that I just swap rifle to rifle on a QD mount. Then I went a bit further and got an electronic level from Sendit. Big difference in groups when you have the solid platform and same position everytime.
TBH, no real massive improvements. I'd say it's really the same. It's slightly more comfortable to shoot for me because the flat trigger. The original bergara trigger was actually pretty nice and consistent. Unless you get this one on a really good deal and just want it for adjustment purposes, it wouldn't be worth paying a ton for it.
@caseysammobench 😩......damn I was hoping to hear differently. I just coughed up 300$ for one. I was thinking a new trigger would show a big difference
@Erik7prc it's ok man. I still love the trigger and as long as you love it, that's all that matters. I managed to squeeze mine out at $175 or so. If you are competitive shooting, that little bit of comfort and consistency could mean the world.
Have you ever had any issues with this setup failing to hold the firing pin back during tough handling or slamming the bolt closed? I’m seeing warnings about bergara saying not to drop them below 2.8 pounds jr something or risk engagement failure
@@str3tchr thank you, I appreciate you commenting back with the information. No issues yet, but very well may be preventing an issue from happening too.
Watch your video close. Your breaking the trigger and then pushing the gauge more. It's much lower then what u came up with. You don't have to use the wheeler like that. U can buy u can use it the traditional way also. I have the same gauge.
@Vinny C, very cool. You will love it. If you adjust the pull down to what I did, it's a little weird at first if you haven't shot something with such a light of a trigger. I may actually just send it back up to the original factory weight, which was 12oz. Also, I have another video of the install on my channel.
@@caseysammobench I have looked for the install video can’t seem to find it . Figured TH-cam removed it or something. That would make my decision super easy.
@Vinny C interesting. So far it's still up there for my channel. It was my second video. It wouldn't surprise me if they eventually take it down though. Also, thank you for the sub. Seen your videos on the 22 sub compact. Do you have a specific camera to mount on the scope?

Phoenix Rising. Wheeler Engineering Trigger Pull Guage and Review. Probably a little past the middle of the Review somewhere.
@@caseysammobench that’s not the true weight if you are also using your finger
@Tyler Isbell interestingly enough. It recommends in the directions to use this specific device in that manner by using your finger to pull.
@@caseysammobench yeah it may recommend but you’ll never get the exact pull and you have a huge variance
Thanks for the video👍🏻 Thats a nice trigger you got there!

@@caseysammobench cool, I received my muzzle break yesterday and will test it tomorrow🤗 Next step will be an Atlas bipod too☝🏻😊
TT do not vary that much in pull weight, especially the Diamond... you are pushing to far on the gauge after the trigger breaks.
Thank you. When I did the video it was pretty long ago. At the time I thought I had it down but the wheeler was still pretty new to me.
3 years later, did your groups improve noticeably any with this purchase? Or was it whatever?

I haven't had a single issue. I am probably still going to adjust the weight back up to 2.5lbs. I think the stock trigger weight was 4lbs to 4.5lbs
@@caseysammobench thanks for the reply. I called bergara yesterday and they said triggertechs were safe down to 1.5

Is your Bergara the standard HMR or the Premier?

Thank you, I definitely started using it the traditional way after much practice with it from almost a year ago.
How bad are these to install into the b14r?
Very easy to install. Especially with the vice. Use a nylon hammer though, so nothing gets marred up.
