      Yes impressive axia 4.3L/100km👍
      it beat The Proton Savvy currently offers fuel consumption from 5.3 to 5.3L/100km....but of course savvy is more heavy weight then axia.

    11:00 "1,200cc car costing 8 thousand-something ringgit"... Must be in the late 60s-early 70s when I was still a kid. But I do remember a few things from back then. Japanese cars were starting to become more common. Especially the Datsun model which became the de facto driving school car, replacing the Morris Minor. The main competitor was Toyota Corolla KE20. I also remember the Mitsubishi Lancer - a head-turning car that the sports teacher at my school (Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Star) bought. Oh, a semi-detached house that a classmate's father bought in 1972 was... RM28,000.
    All these may be "cheap" compared to now. But those older would also remember how difficult it was to get money. Given the choice between "Then and Now", I'd whole-heartedly stick with Now :)

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha, thanks for the memories. The RM8200 was for my first new car in 1973, a Datsun 1200. We paod 10 percent interest those days too. A brand new Alfa Romeo Berlina 2000 was around RM12k only, and a Mini 850 was around 6k. But then a sales manager pay was around RM600.

    I wonder if the fuel range (if shown in the axia) fluctuates or it shows the minimum range based on worse driving average? e.g my brother's 2015 persona range fluctuates based on driving style but my dad's fortuner shows the minimum range for the car. I've driven both car dry and I am more comfortable with the toyota range when it comes to very low fuel, the persona just blanks after a certain fuel range.and it gives your anxiety driving when you know there isn't a fuel station near.

    • @YSKhongDriving

    Dear YS Khong. I enjoy all your TH-cam so much. It is very helpful.
    However, I have a little comment on perodua axia model 2023. I have owned for a year and so far it is no way and not even close to get 20km/litre. In average the fuel consumption is only 12.5 to 13.5km/litre.
    I fill up until full tank and reset the Speedo meter aka trip a to 0km.
    After I drove about 200km, I refill to full tank.
    I will know the total litre to fill up until full tank and compare with the mileage (km) I drove so far.
    It is obviously no way can achieve above 20km/litre as claim by Perodua.
    I seriously hope Perodua can give a reasonable explanation. By the way, my mom (above 70s) is the one that drove the car.

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First, please contact your Perodua dealer and ask them to check your vehicle to verify everything is okay.
      Then study your test route. City driving and highway driving, driving style , ambient temperature, road and traffic conditions all affect fuel consumprion.

    Hi. Where do you read the mileage display? Is it from the AV indication on the digital display at the speedometer. My AV reading shows abt 15 to 17 km only at moderate speed what does that indicate. Is that the fuel consumption? If that's the case then it's very low from the 20 km+ fuel / liter. Also what is range? Is it the average travelling distance? For instance, if one pumps fuel say RM 35, then it converts to the range say 250 km. Anyone pls advise. Rgds

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mileage display is on the Odometer. When you start the journey you zero the odometer.
      Yoy have to toggle your display until you get Avg Fuel Consumption, usually in Km/L.

    • @adriansgt9465
      @adriansgt9465 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In real world driving i believe it's impossible to achieve 20+ km per litre in real world driving. That computerised consumption reading is only an indication of its consumption at that particular moment. It fluctuates greatly depending on the speed and load on the engine. That reading will go up to probably 30km/l or more if you are going downHill and less than 10km/l if you are going up an incline. Don't expect to get 22km/l overall in real world use. You should be happy if you can achieve like 15km/l overall.
