Great trip. Bit curious, which one is more convenient, take this Van or take the train between Padang Besar and Hat Yai? Ah that car from KTM Padang Besar into ICQS. Thankfully since both countries driving on the left side, no need to lane changing at border. Also, since Thailand is one hour behind Malaysia, this trip feels like back to the past only an hour.
The train is definitely more seamless but it only departs 3 times a day. If my arriving ETS train met the shuttle train schedule, I would have most definitely taken it, but unfortunately not this time round, hence my van trip.

You need to pre-book your Hat Yai to KTM Padang Besar trip 24 hours in advance. You can inform the staff when paying for KTM Padang Besar to Hat Yai and maybe they can help, otherwise, follow instructions on the ticket.
