#Mangupower Mango is a traditional dish, original and typical of some Caribbean countries such as the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. In Costa Rica it is called angú. [1] The mangú is basically a puree of green bananas (or ripe in its version of sweet mangú), and it is made by salting bananas and then crushing them until a puree is obtained. The mofongo is an Afro-Antillean dish that has clear fufu roots (different vegetables with starch) from West Africa. It was introduced into the Caribbean by Africans living in the Spanish colonies of the New World such as Puerto Rico (Mofongo), Cuba (banana fufu) and the Dominican Republic (mofongo). Fufú is made up of a starchy root of crushed boiled vegetables and bananas, and mixed with water, butter or milk until it has a dough consistency.

Thank You Traveling Clatt.
Favorite NYC guide of yours so far - amazing tour of The Bronx! Props to Shawn for taking you to so many great spots
Thanks pals!
This is what Manhattan used to be about before Disney showed up, all the mom and pop spots, family run businesses. Real New York
Facts, sadly the Bronx is slowly getting gentrified as well...
Happening all over the world. London has changed in the same way.. I feel your pain..
@@Bleek17Six Gentrified and taken over by destructive colored people since the 1960's. It was all White before.

Um a lot of the whites you speak of, where immigrants from Europe specifically a lot of Irish & Italians, lots of gangs & vandalism was still going on in certain sections even in those eras you speak of as well...
Just say you hate people of color son. 😒

Hah. I used to eat at the $4 Chinese buffet every day after work. They forgot to mention that you also get a free can of soda with your purchase.

The Bronx is also the only borough connected to mainland USA (the rest are islands and on an island) great video. Cheers from a yellow cabbie!
The R.
That’s a fact.. I’m from the Bronx, & big respect to west Chester 914
We know.
The R. That’s a fact although they still worlds apart. Westchester is way more slower pace, which is why some Bronx ppl later relocated up there to raise a family.
@the intruder Yonkers and mt Vernon is not bad
“Anybody can do it but you have to have passion” I like that
I like the Bronx because of the zoo, Yankee Stadium, and the botanical garden. Tour the forgotten borough, Staten Island. Stop at every station on the SIR. The Impractical Jokers are from Staten Island
Coming soon
I’m from Brooklyn and the first time I took the SIRR I was surprised to see you can board for free at most all of the stops.
I always see your comments at the "Only In Japan" channel. Hahaha
I’m was born and raised in Staten Island I promise you there nothing good going out here there nothing to tour nun of that Staten Island is ass
Alli no mas. Viva Cuba. I love the South Bronx.
Thanks for bringing back a lot of good memories. I’ve been living in Asia the past 10 years but being from New York, these are the things that I miss.
This video is sooo well made. Love your enthusiasm about NYC!!! I'm from Brooklyn and sometimes I feel like locals become jaded and don't even realize how much good stuff there is in NYC
That was amazing! Probably my favorite tour of yours yet!👏Shawn was a fantastic guide btw. Now I want to go to the Bronx & have me some good food when I come here in the fall...problem is, after watching your guides & Jon's guides, that's all I'll be doing! Eating!😂😍 Good work Tal!

The Bronx has so much potential and could easily be the best borough to live in if a few things changed. Thanks for showing some of the great things in the Bronx. As someone who lives here, I wish more people would realize the Bronx isn’t that bad.

Billy V. Yeah the Bronx is pretty bad but it’s still a beautiful area as far as culture goes.
I’m from Da BRONX and have been living in Japan for some years now. I just visited the Bronx this summer and man I miss being there. So many buildings and other things have changed but that BRONX feeling was the same. Da BRONX is one of those places you leave come back and feel like you never really left. I mean the first day back which was a Friday was a little off for me as there were so many people out and about. But by the next morning I was out and got right into the life as if I had never left.
Welcome to the Bronx! Thank you for capturing that hospitality. I love my borough 💛
I'm from Queens but I've worked in several different areas in the Bronx. North and South... Bx is lit af always. Love the bx.

I grew up on Burnside and Walton. I lived there for almost 35 years. I moved out in 2012. A whole lot has changed in the last 15 years. A lot more businesses and a lot of new housing apartments being built. Thank you for showing my old neighborhood. :)
That was a rough area! I Lived on Sedgwick Ave and Kingsbridge Rd in Kingbridge Heights and now live in Norwood (Bainbridge)
Where do you live now? I know Burnside ave. Tremont ave. 161st Yankee stadium, i lived on Creston ave.
I live in the Bronx and I live in the Pelham Parkway. I love going to Little Italy to go to the market. I also get my cheese from La Casa De Mozzarella. Glad someone saw the amazing culture and love behind the crime here.
Yeah it's such an awesome place

#Mangupower
Mango is a traditional dish, original and typical of some Caribbean countries such as the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
