Johnson stated, "Reinstate remain in Mexico policy." However, most of the people crossing at the US/Mexican border are NOT even Mexican! The vast majority of migrants are coming from Haiti, Caribbean, Venezuela, various parts of South America, and even from the African continent. One sees a lot of migrants of African descent at the border, and a lot of them don't even speak Spanish.
They've made it to Mexico so they can stay there. The mexican president can throw them out if he wants to. No one's forcing him to keep them.

Speaker Mike Johnson is completely wrong about Mexico. Joe Biden or Donald Trump cannot tell Mexico what they can or cannot do. Mexico is a sovereign country. Johnson is utterly stupid about what is happening at our southern border.
No, Johnson knows what's going on at the border. His stunt of acting helpless and pointing at Mexico is just to bring more attention to the fact that the current Administration is advocating and encouraging illegal migration, and that the House has no other option but to plea for help with this technique. It makes it more likely that the leader of Mexico will approach the leader of the US and get some things straight... and maybe work on some problems.
Mexico listened to Trump when he was president. That's why Mexico helped with the border issue when Trump was president.

Mexican here, I can tell you he's not a good leader. He has socialist politics and gives money to people even if they don't work. The fact he speaks calmly and slowly doesn't make him a model leader. We neither have good politicians in Mexico.

@Ricks15 Yes, I live in Mexico with my family, and I have young and elderly family members in other cities in Mexico. And I don't agree with the Mexico's president giving money to everyone.
My problem with giving every student money is that they give money regardless of how well someone does in school. The student who skips classes, fails many subjects, and doesn't make an effort to do well in school gets the same money as that student who makes an effort to do well in school. Giving money to every student equally is unfair for those who do good. I'm all for scholarships when they give them to those who do well in school, but the government shouldn't waste tax money giving scholarships to mediocre or bad students. What's the motivation for students to do well in school if they are gonna give the same money anyways to every student regardless of their school performance?
And with the elderly pensions, my questions are, why didn't they plan their retirement if they had all their life to plan it? Or why don't their own families support them economically to not spend too much tax money on pensions?

I work as a software engineer for a major shipping company in the u.s and we are working to connect several latin American countries customs agencies in the process of accepting our U.S exports and our main ally who is facilitating this process is Mexico. These companies in the u.s will export more and more but we need the help of Mexico to facilitate this ongoing process with all of latin america.
We don't NEED them, but it sure helps. Mexico has its own issues in South America.

I'm from here (Reynosa, the part they're talking about) and the thing is that all of those migrants, thousands, came from Venezuela, Colombia, Central America and Europe... The government quickly put them in homes, and public facilities but when they announced that the spaces were totally full they started to camp in Plaza de la Republics (park in front of the Int. Bridge), thousands of them living in tents all over the neighborhood. From 2020-2022 thousands of us used to help them, donating money, clothing, feeding them, some of us shared our bathrooms with them so they could bathe, but when the homes and public facilities announced there was no more money to give away they just turned to the cartels and now you just see black people and Central Americans de*ad everywhere because they are using them as pawns for little to nothing... Apparently most of them can get asylum from the US but the CBP closed the bridge so now they're stuck here with no place to go😕
I read an article a couple of years ago that said we get all of Mexico's, beautiful fruits and vegetables and we force them to buy high fructose corn syrup in the billions of tons. That doesn't seem very respectful to me.

You don’t want china to just get rid of the us bonds cus is over. It is all kaput for the usa and there is no going back. The only way to pay the debt will be by valcanizing the usa.
