Lots of benefits to not letting the sheep have full access to that paddock at the start. You'll get more time on each area of ground and if you dont let them back on the grazed bog you'll have grass coming back. The more paddocks the better!
I didn't fully appreciate how much of a difference a good sheepdog makes until I visited you. Úna (my NZ Heading Dog) is getting there now, but I still have moments where she's more harmful than helpful.
About the eyelid inspection, no blood vessels or no pink colored eyelids is also an indicator of Haemonchus or Nematodirus infection. These and the flukes suck blood or cause internal blood loss.
Did I miss something?? What happened to the deaf dog lost in the rushes? Great video - it almost had me yelling “Moose!” right along with you. 😊 Your patience is amazing - and in those conditions!? Good on ya!
bugger that lamb injured itself but it will not go to waste dinner for one family on the farm for the next few months - as kids we only ever got mutton so lambs a bit plain for me - Sometimes running the young dogs for 15-20 mins beside a quad bike before you start the work day just takes the edge off and gives the ability to think and listen - when they are not listening and doing their own thing and you scream at them (I know this from being on the farm) "you f...ken mongrel do what you are f...ken told" - when you are finished you give them a pat tell them how good they are and take them home for their dinner
Good to see you drinking from the stream up there, I hope the water is ok. Great vid Karl 😊
It’s the very best Padraig! Thank you!

Oh Karl that is a heartbreaker about the lamb but hindsight is 20/20

Collie have KEEN DNA cornered😂
Great video Karl, lovely scenery but very wild terrain. ❤👍
Hard day at the office for sure. I hope things are easier in days to come. The river was fierce!
Action packed this episode 👌
Haha glad you liked it horse. 😁
Great video Karl 👌

Oh no 😮
I saw you yesterday
It is so incredibly beautiful where you live.
Great video thanks for sharing.
Wow that is a serious current
Great video again Guys 😅
Glad you enjoyed it Gerry!
What a session!
Awful annoying losing a lamb like that. Happens from time to time. We lost a hogget this year, she went head first into a gate. Killed on the spot
Should use the wool for the muddy gateway
Not a bad idea!
Enjoyed the video ✔️ Almost 15k subscribers!
what was the bucket you held up there at 2min 38 seconds into video. Is that good stuff. :-) go on crystal x
Just move the gateway over a bit and fence that boggy corner off.
Ah sheep like running along the ditch Colin, I wouldn’t like giving them a corner to go into! I might fill it in with something!
@@EweTubeIreland that’s a good point. Can you get up there with gear?
