That's definitely going to be the worst part already. Strong's performance was great, and I have no idea how the feel is going to be. I know when they changed the voice actor between The Evil Within 1 & 2, it felt off the whole game.
@@ray-tx8yx well, the developer is the same guys who made Halo, Halo 2, Crysis, world War Z, Halo 3, and on and on, I think they know how to make a competent shooter. Each of those games has been successful, and they already have the predecessor to show how to mix melee with shooting at the touch of a button.
@@Bertoleyus It is still highly doubtful to me that Saber would be able to top the destruction level and quality that Relic usually implements in its games. I'll just wait for the gameplay to come out before getting my hopes up.
I hope this game does well and we will get more 3rd person 40k games. Maybe one day we will get 40k RPG in style of Mass Effect as Rogue Trader (I know Inquisitor would be good too, but as Trader we can get Xeno companions and I NEED Necron Garrus and Ork Wrex). Let's hope that future for 40k games is bright and we will get more not-strategy games. EDIT: TOLD YOU!!!

Maybe only remaining Necron from some Tombworld who became a soldier with no master or something like that (or maybe one of the generals who had his memories partially wiped) and his Tombworld was destroyed almost completely by the threat we would face in that game. And the game itself could take place on the borders of the Imperium with unknown space which could give us a story unrelated to main one from 40k.
I was pissed when I saw the Primaris, I wanted Titus and was peeved they put him away for the new boys... then the lieutenant took off his helmet... I didn't knew I could scream in delight for so long

Saber Interactive did the surprisingly good World War Z game, which had huge waves of zombies swarming over each other. I trust them in making the 'nids fucking terrifying.

I think we might be waiting a long time for that. I mean Space Marine 2 just got announced so anything is possible but with how poorly DOW 3 did it might be awhile before we get ANY sort of new content for that franchise. Which is a damn shame, I hope they come back with something grand. A remake of DOW 1 combining Dark Crusade and Soulstorm with some of the ship mechanics from DOW 2 would be pretty cool in my opinion. I just don't think Relic is convinced it would sell.

Do you really believe that customer whining alone would kill off a product if it was profitable? No, people didn't like their experience and that spread word of mouth as it always does. If you enjoyed the game all power to you. I myself am a fan of several games that people consider to be bad most notably I love Dragon Age 2 and the wide community considers that game a 5-6/10. I didn't enjoy 3 and apparently many others felt the same way.

If they had sold it as a semi-comp, structured, battle game and didnt hang the skin of a beloved franchise off of it, I think it would have been received a lot better by the fanbase. But they pretended it was DoW, and that was rightly shit on.
@@Alpha_Wolfy I agree with you. DoW is a game franchise I've always loved but I've always felt like it had a large but niche playerbase. I love Dawn of War but I struggle mightily to enjoy Mobas and as much of a meme that criticism of the game is I honestly feel like it's a legitimate reason for why it failed. I hate Mobas so I think the game is bad but that's ultimately a personal opinion and one that a large part of the playerbase felt. Now that doesn't mean I can't understand why people would enjoy it, Dragon Age 2 was just as large a departure for the Dragon Age series as DoW 3 was for DoW but I personally loved that game. But like DA 2 when you pivot like that in a franchise you risk failure. It's a damn shame that DoW 4 might never come out because of that decision. So even if I feel I'm right about DoW 3, it definitely doesn't mean you are wrong to enjoy it for what it is.

Was so great to see this last night live. Was thinking it's Dark Tide then...noooooo! Omg it's actually Space Marine 2! And Tyranids are one of my favourite xenos so glad to see them here. Only thing that threw me is no Mark Strong and Titus looks quite different!! My brother was also excited he text me as soon as he woke up to see if I knew hahah but yeah I'd been watching live.

Your reaction was priceless :) I do hope that this is more than just a hack-and-slash against Tyranids with cutscenes of Titus remembering his past… issues with the Inquisition. The surprise arrival of Chaos in the original made for a good narrative and helped make you feel more invested in the gameplay itself.
One awesome possibility is that we'll get to interact with, or play AS, a certain fluffy blue loyalist Primarch!! I say this because my boy Titus has clearly gone Primaris and he's still an Ultramarine!

Almost the release of SM2, and Valrak was right : Fuck Saints Row, a game so bad that Volition shut down... I never preorder and neither my friends... but we all preorder SM2... This game just hits different !
I wish that, at some point, they will give you a cliffhanger cutscene telling you something like "Reinforcements are coming...", just to give you a powerhouse segment where you play as Mr. Bobby G for half a mission going to meet with Titus... then meeting cutscene, and you continue as Titus from there.
The only thing I'm disappointed with is Mark Strong not returning to voice Titus (no disrespect to the new actor). I'm curious to hear if he turned it down or if the devs actually tried to get him back. Super excited for this anyway!
from what I understand, Mark Strong kind of blew up in popularity in between now and when Space marine launched, so it's possible they either couldn't afford him, or he was too busy

I never pre-order as a rule, but you can bet your Holy Terran ass I'll be doing just that as soon as possible. Hopefully they do a physical collector's edition like the first.
Ok so some quick questions: Is it possible for an existing Astartes to become a Primaris or is the Primaris hardware compatible with the biology of existing serving Astartes? Also, I'm not sure about the studs but I read its symbolism varies between chapters so its either the time skip between the first game and the second game is 20 years, 100 years or 200 years. Which one applies for Ultramarines?
Yes. It is possible for a standard marine to become Primaris. Most will not survive though as they will have a new type of gene seeds implanted into them. Those who do become the Primaris marine. Again though it dose not have a high survival rate. The Chapter Master of the Ultramarines also become Primaris to.
Yes first born space marines can be made into Primaris. At first it was a risky operation but now it’s rather safe in the current lore. There are only places in the lore where service studs are mentioned, and no clear codex this is what these mean, but from a lore point, a gold stud in the ultramarines is 100 years.
Yes it is possible to become primaris, but very risky and most of them die, however Marneus Calgar has become one as well (plot armor). Yeah the studs vary between chapters, the wiki says 10-50-100 years for the smurfs, so I assume that each golden stud means 100 terran years of service. Meaning our boy has been fighting for 400 years.
The main thing that bugs me (pun intended) is that the warrior has 4 arms but it uses 2, with the other two just sitting there doing nothing. Had plenty of time to disembowel Titus with the rending claws that were free. Plot armour I guess.
I don't normally, if ever, watch reaction videos. But the fact that Valrak has LONG talked and even brought up the memory of Space Marine 1 and talked of its potential for a sequel, here I am. And so to sit and watch someone's reaction and see that TRUE spark of joy from all their previous videos/thoughts/theories come into play, By Emperor its Valrak. *salutes* This has been a long time time coming, for all of us. I think it was well worth that wait. *grins*
That guardsman probably has mixed emotions about seeing those space marines coz on one hand he gets to see the emperors angels but on the other that also means their situation is so bad that it warranted sending said angels

Space Marine was one of the few games I fully completed. I'm very casual. And that game desperately needed a sequel or continuance. I'm so ready.

Was so great to see this last night live. Was thinking it's Dark Tide then...noooooo! Omg it's actually Space Marine 2! And Tyranids are one of my favourite xenos so glad to see them here.
Only thing that threw me is no Mark Strong and Titus looks quite different!!

I do hope that this is more than just a hack-and-slash against Tyranids with cutscenes of Titus remembering his past… issues with the Inquisition. The surprise arrival of Chaos in the original made for a good narrative and helped make you feel more invested in the gameplay itself.
Titus is not only a chad for killing a Ork Warboss and Daemon Prince, but now also survived the Rubicon Primaris and capped a Nid with a Bolt pistol

I wish that, at some point, they will give you a cliffhanger cutscene telling you something like "Reinforcements are coming...", just to give you a powerhouse segment where you play as Mr. Bobby G for half a mission going to meet with Titus... then meeting cutscene, and you continue as Titus from there.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is Mark Strong not returning to voice Titus (no disrespect to the new actor). I'm curious to hear if he turned it down or if the devs actually tried to get him back. Super excited for this anyway!
I hope the money they would have spent on that actor to put it into the game.
from what I understand, Mark Strong kind of blew up in popularity in between now and when Space marine launched, so it's possible they either couldn't afford him, or he was too busy
@@thesyndrome43 Respectfully, I'd disagree with that point - Sherlock Holmes, Green Lantern and Kick-Ass came out before Space Marine. I can remember people being excited that he was voicing Titus. I'd agree though that it's probably down to conflicting schedules and he couldn't commit.
I never pre-order as a rule, but you can bet your Holy Terran ass I'll be doing just that as soon as possible. Hopefully they do a physical collector's edition like the first.
Ok so some quick questions: Is it possible for an existing Astartes to become a Primaris or is the Primaris hardware compatible with the biology of existing serving Astartes? Also, I'm not sure about the studs but I read its symbolism varies between chapters so its either the time skip between the first game and the second game is 20 years, 100 years or 200 years. Which one applies for Ultramarines?
Yes. It is possible for a standard marine to become Primaris. Most will not survive though as they will have a new type of gene seeds implanted into them. Those who do become the Primaris marine. Again though it dose not have a high survival rate. The Chapter Master of the Ultramarines also become Primaris to.
Yes first born space marines can be made into Primaris. At first it was a risky operation but now it’s rather safe in the current lore.
There are only places in the lore where service studs are mentioned, and no clear codex this is what these mean, but from a lore point, a gold stud in the ultramarines is 100 years.
Yes it is possible to become primaris, but very risky and most of them die, however Marneus Calgar has become one as well (plot armor). Yeah the studs vary between chapters, the wiki says 10-50-100 years for the smurfs, so I assume that each golden stud means 100 terran years of service. Meaning our boy has been fighting for 400 years.
Yep Ragnar Blackmane became a Primaris after his fight with Ghaz.

The main thing that bugs me (pun intended) is that the warrior has 4 arms but it uses 2, with the other two just sitting there doing nothing. Had plenty of time to disembowel Titus with the rending claws that were free. Plot armour I guess.

It wouldn't have gotten past his armor; it is the best in all of the Imperium.

I don't normally, if ever, watch reaction videos. But the fact that Valrak has LONG talked and even brought up the memory of Space Marine 1 and talked of its potential for a sequel, here I am. That guardsman probably has mixed emotions about seeing those space marines coz on one hand he gets to see the emperors angels but on the other that also means their situation is so bad that it warranted sending said angels
