Great review nice to see someone take a proper all round look at the bike. Looks quality, that TB tank is beautiful. Have a 1300GS it sounds naff, that engine sounded much nicer. Stick or twist hmm, was working out if I could squeeze on a M1000R after seeing your mate Rich's bike on a vid!
Love the colour and finish, great choice. Bike looks great but would be too tall for my little legs unfortunately. Looking forward to seeing what mods you do.
All I can say is be careful why you buy Dealer are going bust day by day bye I'm a big dealer with cars attached they seem to be more supported by the cars if that makes sense
Recipe for the 1300 GS and GSA owners - Repeat after me 10 times a day "I love it, I love it, I love it..." By the 30th day, you will make your self believe that you love it 😂. Do the same 10 times a day "it is not as ugly as the pictures" go ahead... 30th day "oh my god it is not really that ugly" 😂😂😂. This was my recipe for my sales staff when I was running a sales dept. And, we always broke sales records because subconsciously my staff believed that "The Ugly" could be presented as "Beautiful" only if you believe in yourself 🤣.
Subbed for more updates on your opinions as you ride her more. I’m short, only 30” inseam. I had the 1250 GSA Ralley with the low rallye seat. With the fixed suspension and the standard seat on this new GSA, it was too high to even try to get it off its side stand confidently. I’ll wait for the auto suspension model to test out.
I'm afraid you're going to need the automatic lowering suspension. I did not go for that because I think it has a few problems still I'm on my third replacement bike because of our system failure otherwise I would've had it. I am 32 inside leg and yesterday I was caught off guard by the weight of the tank fully fled and it nearly bit me in the arse.
Absolute nightmare to clean and when you're on tour, they gather the dirt in the weirdest places and they are difficult difficult to clean. Spoke to. Don't seem to look that dirty. That is the only reason.
To be honest with you that was a stupid answer. I actually wish I had them because they look nicer and I'm not really thought about it till now even though they were Ceramic Coat they still kept this gritty film all over them and they were very difficult to clean I must stick to that one.

I have cast wheels and I have yet to get them back to the original black colour when I first rode the bike out the dealership. I can clean them to an inch of their lives and they still dry a dull greyish black colour. Any cleaning suggestions/products welcome here please. Nice review. Great autumnal light to film in that day.
I think you're totally right but I've had three bikes with that fail but tonight I found out that was even more of a stupid decision because I dropped it in the garage not good. I'm on my tiptoes which is a major problem with A Bike because all the weight is very high good observation.

@@lifeisarideuk I’ll give it at least another year for the bugs to be ironed out. I try not to buy first year bikes.

From a TH-cam standpoint I think you should have got it with the auto-lowering option.
