    When you talk about someone decloaking right next to you, I just imagine one of those cartoon scenes where you just see the cheetah turn into a cloud silhouette.

      @Captain Benzie Video suggestion: showing d-scan angle & range to make a single sweep combat scan & how you can use core probes if you know they're on a sig to avoid spooking the target. As a SC member, when I mapped my 5th Thera WH, Corp. gave me a free T2 covop frig. I've chosen Anathema to be a little accurate on scanning (deviation bonus) but the Cheetah was my other choice. Velocity and align are huge for our kind of content!

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anathema is cool too! Once you're at 5 on all skills the difference is minimal so it really is about what you prefer to fly!

    Great fit! I added 2 expanded cargo holds and upped the align time to 3.4. I mostly hunt down abandoned drones for fun and hit the occasional relic or data site in my Anathema, looking forward to giving this one a shot! Great videos btw, I have been looking for a good EVE content creator for a long time. Keep up the great work!

    With my skills and your fit I still have a 4s align time (displays 3.36s), so I went Helios to get the same cloak speed velocity bonus, the same 4s align time, and an extra mid slot to add more scanning/hacking stuff. Here's my current fit:

    Inertial Stabilizers II
    Warp Core Stabilizer I
    1MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner

  • @Timithos
    @Timithos ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The Microwarpdrive actually has another common and practical use and that is to one-pulse it between cannisters in data and relic sites. Relic site cans can be as much as 25+ km from each other, and the reduced travel time the MWD provides reduces your exposure time to danger. The data sites can have even more travel time at 50+ km, and a two-pulse use of the MWD is needed. I would definitely have a 5MN MWD on all my covert ops ships and tier 1 explorer ships.

    One use for drones in exploration frigates is ECM drones to try and escape from someone pointing you (if you don’t get alpha’d), or in bait uses where you fit them out with tank and some drones for damage/EWAR until your friends arrive

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I disagree with ECM. The distraction of attempting to use them usually just results in an easier KM. Most things one shot explorers anyways so you're dead before the ECM really triggers. Better to just run imho

    I don't understand how this is viable if the cap is depleted after 3m40s running only the mwd with every skill at 5.
    Perhaps I don't understand the purpose of the mwd, but for me, I need to be quick at data sites and want to orbit a target while hacking. What about a stab, is it even useful for low/null/wh? I tried to fit one into this, but cap recharge will never be enough with it. Hope you can help me understand.

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, firstly, never orbit. By orbiting you're moving in a direction which means it may take longer to warp out of you're jumped as you need to realign. When you're at zero, your ship is aligned in all directions so just needs to speed up. Park and hack, don't orbit.
      The MWD is only used moving between boxes quickly. With an MWD active, your signature radius is also bloomed, meaning you're a bigger target to hit and faster to lock on to.

    The Cheetah needs better skins...fashion before function !😉 And CCP ruined the ship model after the redesign 😠

    • @captainbenzie

      To each their own! Honestly, I love this skin, and I adore the model!!

  • @xerxesfehrnah5848
    @xerxesfehrnah5848 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you are going to do much exploration, there is no reason to use any ship other than the Helios. IDK why CCP has the exploration ships so imbalanced by race, but they do. The Helios has a better slot loadout. Exploration is boosted by midslots, which puts you in either the Caldari or the Gallente ship. The Helios gets more powergrid which is what you need for everything that does exploration. It even has a better inertia modifier. No idea why anyone flies anything else except that it is ugly. CCP needs to make these four ships all identical to one another as the differences provide no choice between the ships for any reason other than ship model appearance. Or, they could come up with legitimate balance differences between them such as supporting data hacking with one and relic with another, making one more slippery or significantly faster and another being able to do it all but having a terrible align time. The way things are right now, the Helios is the only one to fly. Flying a ship because of in-game appearance is foolish, imo, because good players ZTFO (zoom the F out).

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's personal preference, and whilst you say Helios is best, there are comments below stating that the Anathema or Buzzard are the "only" choices.
      Maxed out, there's very little difference. Folks should fly what they enjoy. It's not like your Helios does anything my Cheetah can't, and the difference in stats is so minor that pilot skill will be the factor.

    • @xerxesfehrnah5848
      @xerxesfehrnah5848 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@captainbenzie A Helios can fit both a relic and a data analyzer and two different kinds of scanning upgrade in the mids with an MWD. This gives me the ability to skip every other step as I scan things down, and the ability to collect more tools and bust even the most difficult cans without even needing to know what I am doing. The Zeugma doesn't compete with the two mods separate at T2. None of the other three ships can do that. I've tried them all - desperately wanting to not use the Helios because it is such an ugly, ugly, really damn ugly ship model that I hate looking at. I would prefer to use the Buzzard as I am a caldari guy myself, but the Buzzard doesn't have the grid to fit those modules. Another ship might be better for another purpose, but for a pure scanning and hacking ship maxed out to the limit, the Helios is supreme. I get loving Winmatar ships and their beautiful tie-fighter panels (especially the Hound sooooo schmexy). But if you fly a Helios around fit like that a few times, you'll be annoyed at the slow downs and limitations of the others. Again, only for pure scanning and hacking both relic and data sites. You will kill nothing in a Helios.

      @@scooba789 IIRC from PyFa they can both get under 3s align time, the cheetah just gets to do it with a Nanofiber isntead of an inertia mod, after that the only relevant items on a cheetah is a fitting mod or warp stab;
      Not sure why you'd want a warp stab if you align in 3s tho, and not sure about warp stab + interdiction inhib (or whatever its called), because you just get really crap targetting range and resolution to the point where even locking on cans takes like 6-7 seconds and you can't keep all cans in a site locked at the same time.
      Cheetah gives you top on grid speed, with a whooping 700m/s cloaked speed, for the cost of:
      crap fittings
      fewer meds
      Honestly, if you just get a Helios with an integrated analyzer and the implant that buffs the virus damage (applies to both relic & data on an integrated analyzer), you get a MWD+hacking module + 3 scan mods and you just blitz through cans without even bothering with cargo scanning;
      Every other covops frig is obsolete bar the odd occasion you need ongrid speed.
