The Stoichiometric ratio varies by ambient Pressure (Altitude) and Humidity. That's why the range of 6-17% is so broad.

also we know that at any pressure the amount of molecules of a gas is constant, at 1 atm pressure, room temperature it is 24,5 cubic decimeters/liters per mole, so you need a 1:2 volume ratio of methane and oxigen, with 21% atmospheric oxigen it comes down to 10.5% of the volume being methane, so 9% is a bit off

@@Psiberzerker it (avogadros's law) is very weird, but the chemical qualities of a gas (so nomatter if it's hydrogen, oxygen or even xenon for that matter) does not influence the amount of particles in a given volume if the pressure and the temperature stays the same. So these changes in air will change the composition of air and the pressure and the temperature ect. but unless you really haven't ventillated the room or someone really farted a big it will stay roughly the same.
For gases the molar volume (or however that translates to english) is the same, that is why you don't need to count with the mass of each gas.

@@Psiberzerkeravogadro's number is literally the mole, it is a constant therefore it doesn't change. And yes, the particles are different sized, but that does not matter in this.
If you are talking about the binding energy between every single proton and neutron, that also doesn't matter and it only makes its mass ever so slightly different.

@@Psiberzerker I wasn’t talking about that, I’d still stick to the actual ways we’re taught in (a top end in terms of chemistry) high school and by not argueing with you I absolutely did not mean that I you wrote it right. I guess you were trying to proove me being wrong by orders of magnitude, still just please, lets cut this shit
(Oh and btw CO2 is totally linear)

1 mole of any gas under conditions of NTP occupies 24 cubic decimetres. So it is by volume.
