Marcos, good job on the video, and really appreciate the effort. I am just learning. For future reference (not trolling!), you need to remember that there are some really DAAAFT people out there... so you may want to educate by going step by step. One example: "So you want to change the title text? Step one: Bring your cursor over the text and CLICK on the TEXT in the window... Then you will see on the top right corner that a line TEXT appears..." etc. See, when you say in the video "and you write the new text here...." - on my screen, there was no place to write new text. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out why.... The hardest thing is to teach someone who don't know anything - when you have done it a thousand times. But that's how to create someone who, a year later, does it in 10 seconds what today takes two minutes. Cheers
I know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
I’m glad I found this. The first fcpx beginner vid that didn’t put me to sleep. Useful. To the point. No fancy shmancy. Probably what 95% of us want to do to get started. Intro-title-transition - video clip done. A few fixes, where the tools are, places you can go to learn more. Thats it. Great job..........Thanks Marcos!
omg this just helped me get over that hump. It was so confusing coming from windows. I was ready to give up cuz I was so frustrated. Very easy to follow along. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
I don't see how anyone could give this guy a thumbs down! He is awesome!!!!!!! This tutorial is simple, but enough 'smart' FYI, a novice or someone who has some 'genius bar' training over the years, can get it quickly. Yah, so he names/titles things differently than maybe other's might, but I found the same at the Apple Store in their classes. I guess if you actually have no computer skills, or as I think about, not used a smart phone for editing, this may be rocket science. I find the video uncomplicated and intelligent. Bravo.

I learnt a great deal in such a short time about FCP & I got to the end of your kind tutorial.....Each step....YES !!! Thank you very, very much Marcos....Nice Musical wishes from Liverpool, Simon
Thanks for doing this. I am new to video editing and Final Cut Pro. I bought the Apple Training Series book. Although there is a lot of information in the book, I was looking for a straight-forward tutorial to get me started. Your video was what I needed.
I spent years working with FCP 7...and finally decided to learn FCPX after a few years of inactivity. This video was a good bare-bones starting point....although I'll be checking out the more advanced tutorials pretty soon. Thanks for the upload, mang.
Thanks for showing this, Marco. I've been using Camtasia Studio for 9 years and like it a lot. Just over a year ago I purchased a Mac. I realize I hate iMovie for 2 reasons: First, I know what I'm looking to do with it based on my work in Camtasia and some things cannot be done. Second, iMovie is an "eye test" -- gray font on black, light blue font on dark blue, very small fonts, and a tiny audio wave file. You've shown me here that my second reason for not liking iMovie is still a problem in Final Cut Pro. Even though I put your video into full screen, the font sizes are very small in some areas of FCP, the contrast of font-to-background is still lacking, and the audio wave is too small. I rely on that audio wave (which, in Camtasia, is bright green on black and a full visual) to allow me to edit quickly. All of our eyes are getting older, not younger, so young people reading this will one day realize what I mean because Apple products will just be an "eye test" for you, too. Unless the Apple leadership team gets wise and makes things easier to see, this will continue to be a problem. Perhaps they should consult with optometrists to ensure their products don't cause so much eye strain. Nice work demonstrating FCP, though, in spite of the problems it would cause me! 😁
Fantastic! Use this if you have throw together a quick project. He is to the point. Highly recommended! Very step by step. You follow him along through a basic yet complete workflow from importing video clip to exporting final project.
Hey Marcos, I found this especially helpful. My partner and I are running a sound room in our church. We both got FCP on our mac book pros. Your video helped me edit and upload my first video to TH-cam using FCP. Thanks man... You helping the community = gold. I really appreciate you sharing with the newbies. This helped me alot!
This was so easy to understand. I have watched a few other beginner videos and I like the walk through style without all the "this does this and this does that and click here if you want to do this technique..." with lingo I am not familiar with. Thank you for the simple walk through! :)

Thanks! I've been intimidated to use this software and have been using Imovie, but I'm starting to be annoyed with some of the limitations. thanks for keeping this simple so I can get started with learning this powerful tool!
Thank you, Marcos! Very helpful. For most people, FCPX is more than enough to do everything you will need to do. I really enjoy it and I think it is awesome. Good to hear this helped you out.
Awesome video. I had people saying Final Cut Pro X is so hard to learn. I tried to find a "trial version" for pc to try it myself to see what it's really like. Your video show what's it about and busted "It's so hard" myth!!!
Thanks for the general overview I’ve been doing all of my editing of travel videos for my TH-cam channel from my phone and just made the switch over to a MacBook… This was helpful!
