Thank you for this video! I have a question for you: I kiteboard, surf, and wakeboard, but I've yet to wing, and my wife is a complete novice/beginner (no watersport experience). I'm trying to figure out a setup that will work for both of us to learn on. I know it's not ideal, but I'm trying to save some money. I'm 6'0 190lbs (86kg) and she is 5'4" 120lbs (55kg)... This is the setup I have in mind: Board 90L, Foil 72-75, Front wing 1850, wing 5.0... Conditions at our spot are deep water and wind 10-20 knots. Thank you in advance
Excellent synopsis on wing foil gear sizing and beginner expectations- thanks!
Thanks mate, appreciate it.
Very qualitative and by far the most instructive I found on YT among the mass uploads ! good job guys
Wow, thanks!

I think that gear sounds great apart from the board. At 86kg I would recommend going much more than 90. I’d say between 120-100L would work better.
frequently people that talks about gear, forgets include the wind velocity in the combo. Excellent.
Thanks mate
you are fantastic. clear and essential explanations that do not neglect the technical details in the right doses. Well done
Thank you! Really pleased to hear this and I’m glad you are enjoying the clips.
Awesome advice, great channel
Glad you think so!
Where to buy
The Hydrofoil Shop/Hydrofoil Academy 👍
6 foot tall 200 pound man should start with a 6 or 6.5m.
My advice would be a 6m.
Yet here you are 9 months later and not even selling f-one brand items anymore?
Yes, unfortunately we parted ways with F-One. That doesn’t take away from the fact that the gear is still good and suitable for beginners
