Emppu is very reserve but he is always happy and joking around but most of all he loves playing . All of Nightwish feel like there the luckiest people being able to do what they love for a living .
I really like your focus on Emppu. He and Tuomas are the only two band members that`s left from the original Nightwish setup. I think he`s a very underrated guitar player. Maybe people don`t recognize how great he is because of all of his "clowning" on stage😄. When he`s not with Nightwish or other music projects, he simply disappears from the public eye. He`s not in the press at all. I love the guy.
Emppu is a Black Belt in judo, a very disciplined martial art. It is no wonder that he is so proficient with his musicianship as well. I have never heard of him needing to defend himself. His humor is probably the reason for that. He can defuse a situation before it erupts.
Emppu is an incredible person. It's little bit tricky because It's just not his thing to give interviews and in other Nightwish documentaries when he speaks Finnish, they don't translate everything because his jokes are so dirty 🤣
@@zoeystar4668 Some finns who are jokers, have this weird habit to play like english/finnish word play jokes and those guys usually are very unique how fast and creative their mind works. One of my old friend was absolute master of this and man he could get the whole room laughing like no other. Emppu clearly are one of these guys because he does it many times in their documentaries but his word play jokes usually are very inappropriate 🤣
For insight into Emppu, check out the Finnish documentary “Please Learn the Set List in 48 Hours”. His personality comes through in several parts of that.
Emppu is the coolest cat ever and such a great cheerleader for Floor, just love it! The guy is an awesome guitarist and can shred with the best of them, but like the rest of the band, the overall performance is more important than the ego or looking cool.
I love how he recently began doing these flourishing bows to Floor at some point in a concert. I first saw it during GLS in the virtual concert when Floor came back on stage after the instrumental break. I saw him do it again in the recent Montreal concert
I think there is some interview in the making of endless forms most beautiful you would like this documentary it has more about the making of the music in it, from the beginning to the orchestral/symphonic metal parts how tuomas gets it done God bless
I think at some point Emppu joked with the band while practicing some new music, when he describes his perfect song.... It starts with Guitar solo, ends with a guitar solo, and has a few guitar solos in it. He smiled and complained he has yet to get his perfect song.

Emppu is very typical Finn in that regard. It's good that Tuomas has managed the media side well and Emppu has been allowed to be himself.
