During the lockdown, Nighwish Crew (Crewish) released an album of nightwish covers supported by Tuomas. It help the crew get by during that time. According to Tuomas, the NW could afford a year of lockdown but the crew was jobless due to the lack of live concerts. Those covers are really worth checking.
it's a fun thing. I think Tuomas doesn't give a shit how much he lost money, but during the whole covid time he was very worried about the people whose income depends of their touring and so on. And I think no one is really worried about those record company fatsos if they lose some money or not. :-)
Nightwish is NOT for money 12:14 ...that is one of the most important issues to know about them. They are for musical and lyrical masterpieces and storytelling with fun vibe and sharing it for the people. You say that you know them better than the interviewer...well maybe but please forgive him ... In the end you hear that Tuomas is so humble person and not greedy at all. In July he walks with the international fans together side by side in the Kitee Festival without red carpet and goes into sauna and camp fire with them.
To be honest, it did suck for them that the album and lockdown came at te the same time, but for a lot of fans it was sort of a life saver, to have this amazing new music from nightwish to get them through the bizarre times as tuomas called it .
I don't know where it came from that the new album will be released in 2023, but considering that Nightwish continue to follow the same schedule as the last two albums, I am sure that the new album will not appear until spring 2024: In the summer they planned rehearsals and recording of their parts at their summer camp. So, in the autumn there will be an orchestra recording in London, then mixing and mastering of the album, then shooting and editing the music video for the first single, which will most likely be released in February 2024.
I don't think the orchestra recordings are in London. Pip Williams closed the Angel studios in 2019 for reasons of age. It's Abby Road Studios now. H&N has already been mixed in Scandinavia.
Found this interesting, but the interviewer was not good and the questions were poor, but still, Tuomas’s answers were pretty good. I’ll cut the guy some slack for interviewing in a second language, but still… could have been better prepared with better questions. Probably late 2023before we get the next album and 2024 for next US tour.
This is one of the better interviewers I've seen with Tuomas lately. I'd like to see one with a good journalist. Forget where I heard or read it, next album is scheduled to be recorded next summer for an early 2024 release.

I feel bad for the interviewer because maybe he's nervous or its his 1st time to do an interview for an artist. Yeah it will make you cringe. I hope he do his job properly next time.
Hahaa, first I thought he is just Finnish , but judging by the name, I guess not? Of course, Tuomas knows how to support even a rigid interviewer, from his point of view the interviewer was hardly even particularly bad😂! So don't worry! We Finns are described around the world as stiff and quiet. The flip side of that is empathy and the ability to listen.🤘🇫🇮
Have to say this guy is talking with Tuomas and this is what he is was asking... there's has been almost zero interviews with Tuomas the last two years and this guy almost skipped the news about the new album. Sorry, but he could have done so much better or more interesting

But Human. :Nature was Nr 1 in Finland and Germany. And in other European Countrys Nr 2 or 3. So, in my opinion, it is not a loss Album. I love it
