I think the biggest shit this show took was on Rattrap. He was such a badass in Beast Wars. He was like this sneaky, smart alicky scout that blew up a lot of shit, including Ravage's stealth ship. When I saw him in Beast Machines he got the biggest downgrade ever, not just in his body but his character too. So sad.

Fuck that, look at RHINOX. What was he in Beast Wars? Smart, wise, and BADASS. The ultimate combination. He even posed a huge threat when he became a pred. Look at what he becomes. Clunky, weak DUMBASS.

Yep Rattrap stated it in A Better Mousetrap in Beast Wars season 1 that he is a spy scout, master marksman and demolitons expert. He often carried hidden spare bombs in his arms, wasn't always a coward and could use any weapon he could find.
Beast Machines i was like the flushed all of his old skills down the toilet, wasn't even allowed to invent non lethal pistols and had to resort to grenades made out of seeds. And he is such a wuss compared to be willing to take a stand.

Shame that when a transformers show comes out that goes full-out high concept sci-fi and philosophical (and even political), people really don't get it because they expect nothing more than rock 'em sock 'em robots fighting. When the creators respect the audience but the audience doesn't respect itself, you get lowest common denominator stuff, like the Bay movies, Rescue Bots and RID.

    • @isaned
      @isaned 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Well, I liked that the Oracle pointed that out at the beginning of season 2 where it said that Optimus asserted is own free will, the very t hing that makes him more than a mere machine, unlike what Megatron wanted to transform Cybertron into. It was an ideological war across an entire planet, and it wasn't just a bunch of robots shooting lasers at each other.

    • @Jumacas666
      @Jumacas666 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

For me, Transformers at its best, is only robots shooting lasers at each other on the surface. Yes, of course there's action. But what differenciates Transformers from any other robot concept is that they are characters. They emote, they get hurt, they die, they have ideas and ideologies and fight for them. There is so much cool mythology and social/political subtext there. It's great science fiction. Beast Machines understood that. Most fans (and hasbro) don't....

    • @Soundwave32791
      @Soundwave32791 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

How come some fans actually consider Beast Machines to be worse than Bayformers? I mean, that's just stupid!! Surely it's not that bad!!! In my opinion, the Bayformers are the absolute WORST!!!!

    • @Jumacas666
      @Jumacas666 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I don't think its Transformers fans that make the Bayformers money. It's everyone else. All the football jocks at school that ridiculed the other kids that would be today's Transformers fans. That's why every movie's marketing has leaned heavily on their super bowl ads. When the first movie came out, the geek culture was not as prominent in mainstream film making. They could have targeted all the sci-fi and comic book geeks that crowd the theaters at Marvel or Star Wars movies. But they didn't. And they keep sticking to that policy, because even though it's outdated, it somehow still makes money. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Honestly, I enjoyed the show. I fully admit it had a lot of flaws, but I enjoyed it. As for character development, I think Cheetor (and to a lesser extent, Rattrap) stole it all. It's not so much a big dramatic character arc for Cheetor, just general growth and development as he comes into his own as a leader now that Optimus has basically retired from that shtick into the hippie spiritual-leader he becomes instead.
Okay, fine. I pretty much stuck with the show mainly because of Cheetor. And let's face it, that finale, with Megatron in Optimus' old "Optimal" body? THAT was pretty damn kickass. Though he did sorta forget it could fly right at the end there.

    10. A tank is a lot more threatening than a T-Rex... it's a freaking tank. Metal beats flesh creature any day.
    9. There actually were new bodies in Beast Machines. Not as much as Beast Wars did but you don't need to upgrade every freaking season for it to be a good series. No other Transformers series has ever done this. Anyway... Megatron went from his Technorganic Dragon form in the control harness to a giant floating head that transformed into a space ship, to a version of Optimal Optimus' body with Megatron's face and no beast mode. Jetstorm eventually scanned a new beast mode and turned back into Silverbolt. And Trust/Waspinator even ended up with a technorganic beast mode by the end of the series. Would I have liked to see the Maximals upgrade out of those horrible looking designs... yes... because they were horrible... but so was TM2 Cheetor. Not the first TM Cheetor, that was awesome no the TM2 version from season 3. BM Cheetor was actually an improvement over that hunch back monster. Everyone else, yeah, I hate them.
    8. Really... the theme song from Beast Wars was just them shouting "Beast Wars!" over and over again. It was annoying. Technically if you removed the lyrics the music itself was fine. But Beast Machines only said the title of the show once not threw the entire freaking song. That instantly makes it a better theme song.
    7. Most characters get butchered? One character does not equal most... and yes I agree what they did to Rhinox was terrible and made no sense. Personally I don't believe that was Rhinox. I think his intelligence was unlocked but not his personality. Tankor was programmed to be evil and stupid so that he wouldn't turn on Megatron. With Rhinox's intelligence unlocked he retained the evil personality of Tankor but was smart enough to think for himself rather than just following orders. That's just my theory though, this was never explained in the show. For everyone else, their character development continued from Beast Wars. I often point out Cheetor when I talk about character development. He started as being this immature rookie Maximal but threw the progression of Beast Wars he grew into that more mature version of his character we see in Beast Machines. He's the only character like that in Transformers who actually matures in a realistic way. Everyone else either never mature at all or just magically become mature. G1 Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime being the worst case of this happening. Hot Shot also went from immature all threw Armada, to mature in Energon, and then back to immature again in Cybertron. There's no natural progression with these characters they just jump from one thing to the next. And then there's characters like Side Burn or Animated Bumblebee who never mature at all.
    6. Again, Megatron does not stay in one place the entire series... And not everyone is weak... Mostly that's just Rattrap which this series explains... WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Rattrap is use to having weapons until he discovers that his new body doesn't have any. This is the main reason why he betrays the Maximals to help Megatron because Megatron promised to arm him again. Later on in the series he learns to build new weapons. Oh and Trust was actually a lot stronger in this series as he didn't spend every episode being blown up and having to piece himself back together again.
    5. There's just as much action in both series. The only real difference is at the beginning of the series when the Maximals spend the majority of their time running from fights. The battles were kind of one sided until the Maximals were able to transform into robot mode again.
    4. Again, Megatron doesn't look like that for the entire series. That's only the first season... but yes it is stupid... So was the giant floating head... he only really got good at the end and there should of been a season 3 to show more of that form... and give him a toy.
    3. No argument there. This is the worst incarnation of Optimus. However having a bad design does not make the show bad.
    2. There is a story. Megatron is trying to bring peace to Cybertron by removing the chaos of waring factions, in other words, he wiped out the entire planet and now he essentially is Cybertron itself. He wants to wipe out the Maximals because they're the last remaining rouge elements. Optimus Primal on the other hand learned from the Oracle that Cybertron was originally an Organic planet. This is actually shown in the G1 Cartoon as well that the Quintessons built everything. So Optimus is trying to restore life to Cybertron. The difference between this and Beast Wars is that Beast Wars didn't really have one plot, it had several. The Golden Disks were shown in the first episode but we had to wait till the second season to find out what they were for as they were never shown or mentioned again during season 1. There was stuff going on with the Vok that was mostly resolved after season 1 but they still came in a few times after that. Then there was the Tripredacus Council/Tarantulas stuff that never actually went anywhere. We still don't know their true origins, we just know they're not Autobot or Decepticon descendants like the rest of the Beast Era characters. So in that regard Beast Machines doesn't have multiple plots but it does have a plot.
Also you compare Beast Machines to Pok'emon but Beast Wars is actually more like Pok'emon. New characters were introduced in Beast Wars by having the Maximals and Predacons fight over stasis pods/Pok'eballs, that had new characters inside them. The only new characters who weren't from Stasis Pods were Ravage and Depth Charge. In Beast Machines they did introduce new characters and every single one of them was different. Nightscream was a survivor living under ground. Botanica was off world when Megatron took over Cybertron. Strika and Obsidian unlike the original three generals needed no reprogramming as they were already loyal to whoever controlled the planet. It's more interesting that just opening a status pod every episode.
    1. You should of set this up as the first problem... What do you mean should have... you did set it up as the first problem... We're on number one right now. You also set this up as the third problem, and the fourth problem, and the ninth problem, and the tenth problem. Seriously most of this list is just design being repeated over and over again. I've said this before and I'll say it again, bad design does not make a bad series.
I'll give you credit that you have made some legitimate complaints here but most of them are actually the same complaint. The designs suck. Yes the designs suck what else you got? Nothing.
Character development and story should always take priority over weather or not the designs look good. As far as that goes, this show is just as good as Beast Wars was. And the graphics are actually better because in Beast Machines the animation is actually fluid and more detailed. In Beast Wars there's clipping issues and little detail. Yeah the designs look better but you can't tell me that the animation wasn't shit or that you'd rather have solid colored eyes over actual detailed irises.
Also... all the designs in Beast Wars were amazing? Really, did you forget about TM2 Cheetor? He doesn't even look like a Cheetah, he looks like a hunch back freak. Most of the designs in Beast Wars were better than Beast Machines but that TM2 Cheetor design, gawd I hate that thing. He's pretty much the only character that actually looks better in Beast Machines just due to how ugly he was in season 3 of Beast Wars. Season 2 Cheetor was the best but season 3 was a piece of shit.
Anyway... I love both these shows and I'll defend Beast Machines because it was just as good as Beast Wars. If you want to make fun of the designs go right ahead, they suck, but the show is still good despite how crappy the designs are. You should really watch the whole series before you judge the show not just the first season.

TM2 Cheetor doesn't fly. That's the original TM design that flys, I actually like that one. He has a bit of a back pack which is quite different than the hunch back of the TM2 version. There's a big difference between having back kibble and having a robot mode specifically designed to have a hunch back. Plus the toy has about as much articulation as G1 Rodimus Prime which is just shoulders... There's technically more joints but due to the way the figure is molded none of them are actually useful for any kind of posing.

Only issues I had with BM was the Maximal transformations and the last season/2?! where they kept killing and bringing back Megatron( which got annoying), apart from them this was a brilliant!! show,,shame its get these (no offence) juvenile nerdy views, if listen more to the stories you'd see the issues mentioned where explained in the show, like with Rhinox-ect, also that BM moves on from BW, in BM meg hates anything nature/organic( which is why hes always in that thing) He takes control of Cybertron and wants it all machine runed, while Maximal wants balance of nature ect,, thats the point of BM. BW and BM are character and storie driven that what made BW great, it seems that BM is underrated cause it moves from BW and people dont- dont want to follow its new ideas and premises.

Rob Morris That is the stupidest thing anyone could ever do. And it ain't the first time someone has done that, the director for the x men movies told the cast not to read any comic books for their character background so that explains why x men movies don't add up well, and the reason why Wolverine does fit in the role well is because Hugh Jackman ignored the director and read up on the comics lol Another problem was with the Dragon Ball Evolution film. The director did not read a single manga nor did he know shit about Dragon Ball! What kind of an idiot makes a movie based on a franchise and doesn't bother to do their homework!?!?

Ignorance is bad for a franchise, but a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - when that knowledge is too little. Think MNS and Airbender. Casual new fan who thought he knew it better than its creators, and no Fire Lord could have burned it up better, with suspension of disbelief murdered beyond belief by things like actors' ethnicity not mattering but non-canon RL pronunciation of names being sacred.
Then go one step further into willful ignorance : The writers for Teen Titans Go! BRAGGED about not seeing any original TT eps.
There was a great back-up story in some Avengers Annual with Janet Van Dyne trying to sell her script for an Avengers' film and watching their origins murdered before her eyes. Then of course, the book about how the tragic story of Jessica Savitch became 'Broadcast News', called 'Does She Have To Die At The End?'. The list, sadly, goes ever on.

Maybe because trying to turn Cybertron and the Transformers into ugly organics was their greatest mistake but you have to admit the Vehicons are the saving grace that they have awesome design, awesome Vehicon toys that get redecoed as Autobot and Decepticons after Beast Machines, Tankor got a Generations release, Tankor even got homaged in one of the movie toys, Vehicons are names for standard Decepicon troopers, Tankor, Obisidan, and Strika appears in the IDW G1 comics co-existing with the G1, Beast Wars, and Unicorn Trilogy characters as characters, and Jetstorm is an Autobot and Strika is a Decepticon in Transformers Animated.
Beast Machines style Cheetor even appeared as a vehicular Transformers in Botcon 2011 Transformers Animated comics.
Yes the Maximals were lame because they were trying to make theme like X-Men and the Vehicons as Sentinels/Robotic Foot Soldiers from the 1987 TMNT which was a phase in the 90s such as prejudice but you have to admit that Cheetor was the only useful one in the show.

I'm actually planning to rewatch this series because I actually liked it as a kid. I knew it was totally different, and I'm fine with that.
    As for the list.
    10) First off, most of the predacons weren't Dinosaurs, they were mostly multilegged types. The only dinosaurs was Megatron and Dinobot.
And there weren't 3 types of enemies overall, just 3 types at first. Then they got replaced with 2 types.
As as for the enemies being weak... okay, it's been years since I saw the series but I do remember when the second set came along I am positive they had consistent trouble with them. Still, complaining about weak enemies is kinda hypocritical considering Beast Wars did the exact same thing where characters would go down in one or two shots.
    9) Matter of opinion, but no new transformations were fine by me. And I was fine with the bulk of them. Rattrap was kinda... horrid but it didn't drive me away.
    8) As I haven't begun re-watching Beast Machines, I cannot comment on the music. But I did just finish rewatching Beast Wars and... honestly the music in Beast Wars, at best, was alright.
    7) Can't speak much on character development (although I do remember Silverbolt getting a big character change), but... characters mangled for no reason? This is Megatron. Between cloning Dinobot twice, manipulation of others, reprogramming maximals and their pods, cutting Rampages spark in half, killing humans for the lulz and risked the alteration of time itself, and some other stuff, using Rhinox and Silverbolt the way he did was up his alley. The guy had practice.
    6) This is kinda retreading what you said in 10 and, well... okay, fine, Megatron being stuck in one spot was kinda eh, but reasonable. He took over Cybertron and commanded a bunch of armies. And given his kinda out of nowhere hatred of his beast form that he's trying to get rid of then, well... at least there was a reason he stayed there. Not a great reason, but a reason.
But the lack of missiles and explosions never bothered me.
    5) Need to rewatch series, but I remember enough of the series to know that them having *no* challenges is incorrect.
    4) Oh come on!
    3) Really?
    2) Eh
    1) At this point I wondered if you ran out of steam for this top 10 because you kinda mentioned this before. Some of your previous entries speak on design issues already.
Not going to watch beyond the countdown because, as I said, I'm gonna rewatch the series but... eh...
I think the reason why I was fine with this is also the reason I was fine with Digimon Tamers. I don't care if it was "different" if it was entertaining.

Beast Machines reminds me of the new Robots in Disguise, which is the sequel to Prime, which was a very entertaining show. RID is absolutely stupid, really dumbed down from Prime. +Nemesis Prime Actually BM in my opinion is the better show. Theres actually themes involved and a continuing story, drawing parrallels to World War 2 during Nazi rule in Europe, then also nature vs. technology, and finding one's inner, true self. If Beast Machines were another, non-Transformer show, it would be good! Honestly its not a bad show, it just should not be the sequel to Beast Wars, should not be part of the Transformers universe at all! Take away the Transformers aspect from it, makenit a standalone show, it would not be bad! But RID just insults our intelligence, as its a creature of the week thing, catching "Decepticons" with animal-like characteristics, with Autobots acting like bumbling idiots and completely unnecessary, useless humans! It can be unwatchable at times!

BM positioned itself as something much different, and spoke to a more intelligent audience. there were some episodes that were talking about karma, spirituality, the basis of our Realities, the soul, neo-paganism. it was pretty deep stuff, and as a teenager watching this, i knew this was no ordinary cartoon. i still like it and rewatch it, these days for the character design.

It nearly did ruin my love of the franchise. I started with G1, watched Beast Wars, which I liked better, and then went to this thinking that it was going to be similar to Beast Wars, the first few episodes left me confused and wondering a few things: one how did they get forced back into their first season beast modes, two how were they locked into said mode, three how did they lose Megatron who was strapped to the top of the ship that they were traveling in, and four how did Megatron take over that fast, disable the Maximals, and do whatever he did for my first question in such a short amount time?
Judgmental, maybe, if it wasn't for Armada being great and Cybertron being nearly perfect I might have dropped the entire Transformer franchise and been a G1 fanboy. In my own opinion Beast Machines nearly killed my liking of a series that had a good premise.

I remember being super-excited when I read a preview article for BM, which only grew in anticipation when the TV spots started airing.
Which made the disappointment all the more deflating when it launched in the fall of '99. Look I'm as big a TF fanboy as there is. Giving the franchise the benefit of the doubt to the point of fault-that would be me. First and foremost of BM's inherent shortcomings was the animation. That aforementioned preview article sang praises about the "improved" CGI, but it just didn't work in terms of movement and aesthetics. Reminded me of one of those low budget original XBOX games that always required TV picture adjusting. A major endearing element of BW was, due to the fortunate timing of a great CGI boom, witnessing the CGI evolve along with the series. By Season 3, gone was the laggy, slo-mo movements (think: Dire Straits' Money For Nothing video) and 2D visuals. Both Maximals & Predacons looked their vivid, animated best.

#10 is flawed. Yes, an individual drone was weaker than any of the Maximal heroes. But it was about 5 main characters vs an entire planet of drones. It was guerilla warfare. Desperately outnumbered. A different kind of challenge. And besides, when the drones did get intelligent commanders, those commanders held their own.

Anyone who defends and praises this show has to be a troll. Beast Machines is one of the worst things I've seen in my life, and I've watched so many terrible shows. Even if you look at Beast Machines as its own thing, you'd still hate it because nothing about it is even remotely good.
My reasons as to why this show is garbage :
1- The good guys are overpowered while the bad guys can't do anything : Half the show is spent telling us how Megatron has the upperhand and how it's impossible to stand up to him, yet every fight scene has the Maximals literally doing acrobatic moves and mocking Megatron's supposed unstoppable army. The bad guys managed to not eliminate anybody, while the good guys got stronger and found more allies to join them.
2- The good guys are the dumbest creatures that ever lived : idk how many times they were about to win and just decided for no reason at all to just ruin things for themselves, perfect example is when Megatron and his whole army got taken down by a blackout, and Rattrap decided for literally no reason "we shouldn't beat him while he's down" WHAT? Are you joking?
3- inner fighting : almost every single episode is about how the maximals hate and can't trust each other : Forget the fact that this goes against everything Beast Wars did, what is the point of doing that for the entire run? How is that entertaining or fun to watch? I was bored to tears. Every episode starts with the good guys hating each other, then they """win"""" and decide that they were wrong and that friendship is a beautiful thing. ALMOST EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.
4- Facial expressions : This one bothers to no end, idk why but they really felt the need to show the reaction of every character whenever anything happens. I already despise reaction shots and think that they're a waste of time, but Beast Machines took it to a whole other lvl with its weird nightmare inducing faces.
5- Awful characters : New/old it doesn't matter, I hate all of them. I legitimately wanted every character in this show to suffer and perish slowly (especially Nightscream and Cheetor)
6- The music : 2 obnoxious tracks on loop, what else can I say?

They weren't even robot transformations to really appreciate, just some strange supernatural morphing. I am also not convinced of Megatron's quest to control (an empty) Cybertron. Optimus's divine mission got repetitive fast. Almost every episode repeated the same ideas and the chase sequences grew tiresome. What made Beast Wars great was the variety of characterization that drove the story. In Beast Machines they're all held hostage by the story, namely the technorganic theme. Thus it had very little room for character development and everyone kept virtually the same temperament throughout the series. The new introductions (Nightscream, Botanica, Obsidian, Stryker, Noble) do not leave much of a legacy. Beast Machines wasn't poor, just very very disappointing.

Beast Wars Optimus Primal was based on G1 Optimus Prime, so both the pre-Transmetal and two Transmetal designs look like Optimus Prime, but Beast Machines Optimus looks nothing like G1 Optimus and he just looks too weird! I know that Energon Optimus looked 'fat', but at least he looked like Optimus Prime!! I'm sorry, but this is just my honest opinion!!

It had to with the transformers realizing that cibertron was once organic. That could also explain why they appeared week on the show.

dude you have a right to your opinion and it's not important, but I hate people compare shows in "this is better" shit. I love both shows while beast wars was more action packed and more characters and yes a rockin theme, while beast machines was more adult, dark, goth type techno theme with a dark story was great as well. And dude there is a great story behind it as well....again, right to your own opinion but broadcasting it offends me and many others. have a good one

I agree with absolutely everything you said, really, except for #10: even though there were only three main designs of bad dudes, there was a seemingly endless number of them. It added a sense of despair. Everything they had fought so hard for now seemed lost. Everyone they ever knew back home, or fought with/against on earth, was now a pawn for Megatron. This is only furthered by the fact that even though they go down ridiculously easy, the numbers just keep coming.
This is probably one of the only things the show got right, but as you pointed out they never expand upon it. "What the fuck happened on their way to Cybertron!?"

I think that the soundtrack was actually the best part of the entire series. It simply fits. But the rest of the show simply sucks. I have no problem with that concept of evolution from machines to biomechanical beings is actually a pretty interesting idea, but executed very poorly.

the story is pretty good. In fact It was apparently one of the first American cartoons to have the whole story planned out a head of time. I would never try to convince somebody it's a good show but it has some interesting things about it. And it's definitely ambitious.

hello y'all, so look I have any Transformers fan for as long as I can remember I started with Beast Wars but eventually started seeing all the old G1 Transformers shows, I now have a Transformer collection akin to be worth 25,000$ the last time I had everything appraised, first of all all the haters you need to stop complaining people have a right to complain and have their own opinion, if you don't like what you hear then move on, secondly I have to agree with some of the things in this video but also agree with many of the things in the comments I'm reading, overall I must say I enjoyed Beast Wars better that may just be because I was younger and when I watched the Beast Machines I got older and that may have had an influence on me, an more than likely l on all of you without you realizing it, so I'll start by saying Beast Wars I did think was better because obviously they did have good character development I really really hate what they did to rat trap that was a complete abomination, it's almost like he became from in his forties a mature navy seal kinna guy to basically a little b**** that looks like the newspaper boy on the side of a New York Street in the 1930s, who did little more than R2D2, whoever came up with those wheels for feet or legs was on some acid or something, Blackarachnia 2 and I have to totally agree about night scream he looks like a f****** mess, the CGI in Beast Machines is definitely better with using actual CGI for the explosions rather than cutting and pasting explosions from real life for BW, but that cut and paste method also gave it that edge, the background on Beast Wars was little more than early 90s computer game graphics, where BM backgrounds had some relatively cool looking artwork, one thing they should have done though was put in unicrons head as one of the moons on the background, Beast Wars character design was okay but compared to the Beast Machines made them look excellent, not complaining about the vehicons but they were quite plain looking, with relatively moderate to boring transformations, but that was nothing compared to the Beast Machines maximal Transformations which showed how lazy the artists were, clearly not giving a s*** by making them do more of a morphing rather than transforming, that was my biggest disappointment of them all, that basically defeats the entire purpose of the show it's not Transformers it's morphers, however the storyline of Beast Machines was phenomenal I have to give it an A plus it was truly disturbing and exciting and fun and crazy all at the same time, mixing in substance and plot and material from original Transformers like key to Vector Sigma and the plasma energy chamber while also giving Megatron a Godlike figure, in rhinox becoming evil and his whole twist to the show was really cool but I wish they could have given some more explanation as to his "changing of the gaurd", and also really enjoyed how they left you completely not knowing a single thing in the first episode and each episode reveals a little bit more about what happens and how they got there, so here's something that people don't really know, even though both series graphics were created buy Mainframe in Vancouver, Beast Wars screenplay and nearly everything else (except for the story and plot) Hasbro head left Mainframe 2 take care of where BM was more entirely controlled by Hasbro which is an American company that did everything except the art & Graphics production done by Mainframe, this is a big deal because of what Canada allows children to see versus what America allows, in Canada it's okay for children to see characters use guns, but in America they do not allow children shows at least this one to have guns in them this is why in Beast Machines you don't see a single gun, all their weapons come from their bodies and even the weapons on the vehicons were simply extensions of their body, cheetor simplly had knives silverbolt with some kind of ninja stars going on and Optimus Blackarachnia nightscream all had weapons simply emitting from their body, here's the ironic thing Canada does not allow the word Wars in children shows that's why the show in Canada was called Beasties but allowed to be called Beast Wars here, so that's my review overall BM better graphics better artwork especially for the backgrounds though it did get a little monotonous, and definitely had a way better story line, but BM had plain and boring Transformations the maximals didn't even transform they just morphed which again killed it for me, their maximal character designs was disgusting to say the least, I didn't mind the vihicon designs in fact I kind of liked obsidian and Stryker, I mean I understand they were trying to give them an organic and technological balance to stay connected to the story but they just took it too far, again that's what happens when you let a toy company like Hasbro take over a TV show rather than a company that has made TV shows for a living like Mainframe, and what they did to some of the characters as far as development goes was simply wrong, akin to murder, they essentially murdered rat trap, if they gave him a different name and voice you would not even know it was him, oh and lastly the music I didn't really mind the music it wasn't that bad they were trying to take it from that whole alternative rock from the nineties to that whole techno thing that was rising in the 2000 but they just kind of missed it you know? again Hasbro controlling the music and they just didn't know what they were doing and took it too far. so if any of you have anything extra to add on to what I have to say I like to hear it because I don't know anybody that knows more about this subject than I do, and this is the one thing I don't mind tooting my own horn about. but I welcome disagreement because skepticism and disagreement are healthy in debates and conversation and should be welcomed for they help raise awareness to a higher level, it's when you start complaining like a little b**** that you are just clearly still too young of a mind for your age
