@@tessyo860 I miss GusGus being in the shop all the time. He’s not a huge fan of the new shop yet.
Well done 👏
@@sueellenmcgoey6095 Thank you 😊
Thank you for the video very educational how to make spoons rings .again thank you you have a nice cat.
I’m glad that you enjoyed it. And GusGus says meow.
Had to pop in for a ring refresher so I can make rings. Thanks for the suggestion
I have to do it sometimes also lol. 😂
Hey that was great thank you
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks as always you are very helpful
Thank you 😊 I try my best.
Great video. Thank you.
I’m still trying to get a setup like yours. No luck so far.
@@josephjimenez175 I bought the press from harbor freight and the bending kit from Flatwearable.com.
@@josephjimenez175 Thank you 😊
Some great techniques that's I will be stealing!
Thanks
Thank you for watching and stealing lol.
you're videos are really helpful 👍🏼
I’m glad that you’re enjoying them.
Another great video. Thanks. I would love too see old school pounding to make rings. I'm saving up for my 3D
Thank you for watching and subscribing. I have a video in the works now. 😊👍
Thanks. Very informative.
Thank you 😊 I have another one coming out tomorrow. Saddle Rings
Cute cat❤️
He’s my buddy 😊
I’ve been struggling making rings. Using your video on my bench, wish me luck. I have Susannes bender (the smaller version) Thanks Jermeny
I hope that it helps.
Hi thanks for all your help. What do you use in your tumbler for media and you must be using silver plate all the time?
I’m sorry I missed this comment. I use three shade stainless steel tumbling media. I do have a link in the description. And yes I use 90% silver plate. I use Sterling for a lot of custom pieces And I do occasionally some thin, stainless
Hi there,
Will you show the easiest way to flatten the spoon bowl. I'm still not getting it flattened without waves in it.
Thanks
I’m sorry I missed your comment. When I get back on Monday, I will make a video for you. It is really hard to get all of the ripples out, but I’ll show you all of the different techniques that I’ve tried.
I would love to see how you used to make them before you got the press!😊
I’ll definitely be making one of them
Do your blocks for your arbor press stand up to bending stainless steel silverware or do you only do silver plate?
Yes, stainless steel takes its toll on them pretty quickly. I’ve been thin stainless, but I wouldn’t do anything really thick or sharp. It will wear them out really quickly.
I’m curious why you took the time to flatten the spoon bowls when you didn’t use them? Thank you for taking the time to do this video! I have Chris’s tool and have been struggling. I’m hoping your techniques will help me improve.
Thank you for watching! I flatten them because it’s easier to flatten them with the handles on. I do keep some not flattened for other projects. I use a lot of the flattened ones for chimes. I hope that helps.
Do these have to be solid silver or can I use coated silver on stainless steel flatware.
I use mostly silver plated silverware. And some of the thinner stainless silverware.
Do you have a link for those bolt cutters?
Mine are the 14 inch bolt cutters from Harbor freight. Here is a link to Amazon if you don’t have a local harbor freight.
WORKPRO W017004A Bolt Cutter, Bi-Material Handle with Soft Rubber Grip, 14", Chrome Molybdenum Steel Blade a.co/d/aYNP80O
will the tumbler damage silver plate?
No with the 3 shape stainless steel shot. If you get the pins they will texture the plate. I have a link to the stainless steel in the links below.
If I get the 1 ton arbor press and the Flatwearable Bender 3D.V2 will that be all the tools I need to bend?
I would also get a ring mandrel that goes up to 15 and a nylon mallet. Normally the nylon mallets will have a clear yellow head, a dark soft rubber side
@@FlatwareCreationSS I have those already. What is the contraption you put on the arbor handle. I have a bad thumb. I need help with pulling down.
@@susansandberg184 the stuff on the end of the handle is actually sports tape that I just kept wrapping on and on until it got where I was comfortable in my hand. I got it from the dollar tree. I think it was almost 2 rolls but I don’t remember.
Sorry, but is the brown board you mention the same as masonite?
I don’t think so. It’s brown paneling. I did a Google search for Brown paneling for walls.

Why would you not use the belt sander with sterling silver? Just curious! Thank you
I save all my silver shavings so that I can melt them down and use them and other projects. If I use the belt sander they would just get mixed in with all of the other stuff.
What do you use in your tumbler?
I use mostly Dawn dish soap. I will also add 920 compound sometimes. I’m also using 5 lbs of stainless steel 3 shaped shot. No pins is the main thing.
Hi your cat wants your attention!🐾. Is that Stirling Silver spoons?? I just found you. I put in how to make silverware rings. Anyway a few hours later here you are. Do you sell any of your products. Thank you. I love what you make, from the start of your video 💕
GusGus always wants attention 😂. I’m so glad that you found me. I hope that my videos help you.
I do sell some things at FlatwareCreationSS.com and on Etsy Flatware CreationSS
Hi I’m going to look at your store . Have a good Tuesday 👍 Taco Tuesday!! I told my dad yesterday he’s 97 WWII vet with a better memory than me. He wants speggitti !! Lol idk why I’m telling you that.
Having trouble finding brown board. Any suggestions?
It should be in the paneling department.
@@FlatwareCreationSS thanks!
Hi there buddy
Nice work .. any way spoon rings can be made larger sizes by buying a bigger pinn and channel block reaching sizes from 10 , 11 up to 15 trying to avoid hitting with hummer on steel mandrel ?
Because if all rings are about size 8 to reach a size 13 let’s say
You will have to hit it so many times
I haven’t seen a larger pin and block to do that. What I’ve done in the past is cut my ring a little bit longer still size it with the press, and I do the rest on the ring mandrel pretty much just driving it down towards the big end. My largest Mandel is size 15
Affərin sənə hunərmənd adam👏👏👏👏🌺🌺🌺azər. Təbriz
Thank you 😊
Does the block and pin come with the arbor press? I’m looking on Amazon via your link and it’s not showing the block/pin. Is it separate?
No the block and pin are from Flatwearable.net she has all of the accessories and pins in all of that stuff.
@@FlatwareCreationSS gotcha! I was just looking there and putting 2 and 2 together. Sadly, she’s out of the smaller kit. 😫 I emailed and asked if they’re restocking.
@@dawnwellspage if she’s out, I know that she has more coming. She’ll be able to give you more information.
@@FlatwareCreationSS thanks!! Followed you on IG. And looking forward to watching more of your YT!
How do I get a press setup like yours ?
@@josephjimenez175 the press is a 1 ton arbor press. And the bending kit is from Flatwearable.com. I have the larger kit. October 26 after a little practice you’ll be able to make rings super fast. In one day, you can make enough rings to pay for the kit three times over. So it is an investment, but it pays off very quickly.
What kind of press do you have
It is a 1 ton arbor press from harbor freight. I do have a link in the description.
Hi Jeremy I just found your channel. What tool do you use to make spoon ring and bracelet ?
I use the flatwearable.net press system
Are you using silver plated flatware?
In this video I am. If I was using Sterling I would file everything down instead of using the sander and I would also anneal it. And bend slower.
Are these all Sterling or are they also plate?
These are silver plated. You can do the same with sterling but I usually anneal them first.
Where did you get your press from
I got mine from Harbor freight.
this is great thank you,how can i buy this machin have you the adress or maybe a second hand one?
thank you again.
Flatwearable.net I put the link in the description. Thank you for watching.
@@FlatwareCreationSS No you didn't. He is interested in the attachments for the arbor press.
@@donnaholloway1229 the link to flatwearable.net is where I got the kit for my arbor press attachments.
Curious about the nylon block and it’s dimensions.
The block that I have is 3" x 2" x 1 1/2" with different size slots. I hope that helps
@@FlatwareCreationSS that does. Thank you. Husband needs to make one out of wood until we are ready to actually spend money on a kit.
@@ladeecash68 that’s how I started doing it. With some wood and pvc.
@@FlatwareCreationSS we ‘MacGuyver’ stuff all the time. Or as we joke, MacGruber from SNL, because sometimes it doesn’t turn out as we had liked. Since I plan to do this as a hobby and not job we aren’t going to plunk down the money. Just going to start off with Anniversary gifts, Christmas and birthday for friends and family.
I like it! MacGruber
Really harbor freight my ring bender is awful!!
I got the arbor press from HF but the bending kit I got from flatwearable.net. I have the 3D version now. I’m sorry your bender awful. What do you have for bender?
You didn't show how to make the spoon ring could you show it please with the spoon end !
Thank you for watching. What ring are you wanting me to show. I do have a video coming out on how to make the saddle rings.
W h e r e d o y o u g e t y o u r f l a t w e a r ?
I get them online, antique shops, thrift shops, pawn shops, friends, Facebook, and anywhere I think might have some hidden 😆. I love the hunt for the silverware almost as much as I love the creative engineering. Figuring out the puzzle in my head. And then making it real.
@@FlatwareCreationSS Are they silver plated or all silver. Thank you
@@nancysanders3806 most I plated but I do have some videos with sterling. About 90% of my work is plated.
TIRED OF THE CAT...
Sorry he was always in the shop back then.
