Great job! Only thing that bothers me is that you didn't use any weld thru primer for the reinforcement plates. Even though you used the sealant, I would still worry about it rusting between the surfaces.
Join the M3 Facebook groups bother we could have helped you! CMP, and Reddish plates are a permanent fix unlike turner; however to fix separation issues you’ll need a mason/Vince bar
Have you checked out redish Motorsport on YT, they are a very good source of info regarding this topic. I fear you might have totally neglected the notorious spotwelds failing while you had the underbody exposed. It’s crucial to understand what’s happening back there when you hit the accelerator! Otherwise your hard work is not going to payoff for very long, especially when you going to hit the track... and if you thinking of installing a cage, do it proper, weld it in and make sure to integrate these mounting points to stiffen it up! Cheers
Kick ass video! Thanks Kyle. I would like to do this for my M, but I do not know how to weld, nor do I have a welder. I may have to find someone to help out!
It would seem the best thing would be one long solid plate for that entire brace. I wonder why this was never a recall? I am a new fan to the e46 so I don't know the entire history but seems this happened to all M3 E46
Change the diff bushes to oem rather than solid and will reduce the whine loads. Solid subframe bushes don't effect it that much really. Grewt job, it's a pity didn't research it a little more however and address the issue properly to prevent the whole panel flexing rather than just repair the local cracks around the subframe.
Can anybody explain why those solid bushings have so little surface contacting the subframe? It makes sense on rubber ones, but on the solid ones I don't see the reason not to provide more contact surface. This is a serious question, not trying to flame or anything. Thanks in advance! EDIT: by the way, whine noise may be coming from the center driveshaft bearing, you changed the guibo, but not the bearing itself.
Man, I love that lift, gotta get me one of them!. Is it run by an electric air compressor hooked up to an outlet or hardwired to you electric panel?. Like your idea of hanging the wheels too, gonna look for something similar, great video man. Does the car feel more planted than before?

2:34 Perfect song choice! "So fragile, like it was built to break..." 🤣👍🏻
Three out of four mounting points had cracks? Nice design vs weight savings, BMW engineering. Nice repair, Kyle.
Love it how your dad is helping out too
this dude knows what he's doing!
Good job Kyle, subframe can handle some more power now ;)
4F position - nicely done brother
Great video, I actually like the whining the car makes sounds like it’s supercharged.

Hell yeah man. Bad ass build.
Well done mate, I’ve just bought an e46 m3 here in the U.K..
Good to see ur work 🥰
Sounds like it got a straight cut gearbox 😂
Great series! You got a new sub!
Congratulations Kyle. It sounds like a champ.
Are you still driving the car? If so have any new subframe issues arisen?
I can't imagine. These subframe plates are more than enough. Throw in a Vince bar or x brace and you'll never even think of subframe issues.
Kick ass video! Thanks Kyle. I would like to do this for my M, but I do not know how to weld, nor do I have a welder. I may have to find someone to help out!
what a good job congratulations!!
Nice job!!
excellent work!
Great video. What car lift are you using?

Nicely done friend, I'm thinking to do mine as well. Where can I get the hydraulic jack?
Well done bro 👍🏼
Congratulations good work ,beautiful musics 👍😎
Hi from Russian!!! nice supercar)))))
nice work
I assume that whining noise came from the diff, cause of solid bushing won't flex to take the diff gear's vibration
Im 80k Subscriber 80k thousand on your way to 100 k brother love the work on the BMW
nicely done!
Solid subframe bushes so thats why you hear all the noises like that whining noise inside cabin. Or atleast you camera picking up them. :)
9:42 "twerk down all of the blah.... bushings" lmfao
Why don’t you make anymore videos

thats a good thing to do, my E36 M cracked there (long ago but it did lol)
Hi Kyle, can you share what welder and settings you used for this job. Thanks
What welding machine did you used? Did you rent it?
you drrilled the ends of that cracks and then welded them before putting plates on top?
I know you mentioned turner is sponsoring this video but have you considered reddish plates? if so, why did you decide against it?

how long did this job take you?
nice job! Did you remove any interior before welding? Thinking of doing this with my own m3 and just curious if it's something you need to do.
Are you assuming the whine is from the diff with fresh oil or is it something else?
Dear Kyle, can I have info about your lifter please? I would like to place something similar into my garage. thanks
I didnt see u put in fluid in the diff unless u put it in off camera but that would cause some whining
Whats the name of the blue jack you ha e and the one you used for the subframe?
looks great and I think its awesome how you do pretty much everything yourself. lastly a question, do you have any engine mods planned?

Do a drift car build
How many miles on the car.
not bad .not bad .bellissimo
insane
Hey get a welding hat so you don't don't that beautiful Clooney hair hahaha
What else have you done to the car??
Dat dirt moustache at 6:09 tho...
remember to get a wheel alignment
What rims are thoes
those plates are tiny compared to Redish motorsport plates
Привет из Рашки
Dommage pour les soutitre en vf
Why fast forward and then add shit music. Just cut from scene to scene
Whining like straight cut gears
