Andrew Dice Clay is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s with a brash, deliberately offensive persona known as "The Diceman". In 1990, he became the first stand-up comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden for two consecutive nights.

Andrew Dice Clay Talks About Bill Burrs Thing | Howie Mandel Does Stuff #152
• Andrew Dice Clay Talks... - บันเทิง
I met him once when he came into my video store in 1993. He was with his son, Max, and he was buying him some Disney movies. I'm there trying not to laugh every time I hear Dice talking to his kid because that voice just triggers your funny bone. Anyways, they come up to my register and I get to ring them up, still trying not to laugh. Max, who must be about 3 or 4, puts his videos on the counter, but he can barely see over it. I ring them up, give them the receipt, bag the videos, and hand them to Max. Dice says to him, "Whaddaya say?" Max pulls himself up on the counter, looks at me, and says, "Thank you!" Then Dice says in his best Dice voice, "Not ta him, to ME!" That's when I started laughing out loud, he could tell I was a fan, and he was giving me something to remember.
great stuff, i'm a big fan...the roller coaster of his life Wow
K
So funny, thanks for sharing.
Probably was happy you were cool and low key around his kid.
@@danirox1979 Where I worked, celebrities came in all the time, so we were all kind of jaded about it. That's probably why so many came in, they knew we would treat them like normal people. David Bowie came in all the time and he would chat with all of us, he'd remember our names, and crack jokes. I got called to the sales floor one day and see it's him and he's asking me for new movies to check out. I pick up a movie called The Linguini Incident and say, "This one is horrible, don't get this one." He starts laughing... because he's in it!
The Adventure of Ford Fairlane. Love that movie.
Comedic genius ..so underrated
I have the T-shirt😊 love the movie of course it's not streaming anywhere right now😢
Dice's acting in Blue Jasmine was phenomenal. No bullshit.
I respect him as an actor.....but he has never been a comic. I can't respect him for taking the money and the fame for doing jokes that he KNEW were crap when what he wanted to do was act.
I rarely watch entire podcasts. This one with Dice i just couldn't get enough. Fantastic to see and hear him!!!!!
You should watch the one he did with Bert Kreischer... Now THAT was hilarious 😂
I'm so glad I watched this interview! I never saw the TV show Crime Story, but after this interview, I went on Peacock and watched ever episode, because I missed it 40 years ago. I was like 20 yrs old when it was on, so I was out and about during it's initial network run. I've been a big fan of the Diceman even back then, but never once seen him do anything dramatic. He was spectacular as Max! Very underrated series and he was great in it! He is a very talented actor, and that show proves it!!
I saw him first in the hilarious movie Ford Fairlane Rock n Roll Detective in the 90's? I'm 50 now
I'm doing the same thing right now! LOL
Living legend. Dice is the fucking man. He broke down so many barriers that no one else was doing at the time.
Andrew is good friends with Tom Green, and it strikes me that anyone who is good friends with Tom Green must be alright.
His girlfriend sugar plum is a VAMPIRE! She kept talking about that neck. She was lingering.
He broke barriers but not for his comedy. That was super base, barely funny stuff but what he did do was sell out massive venues for years and years.
He sucks. I walked out of a show in Vegas because he rehashed his 80's schtick after berating a family for a half hour.
@@jsjj He berated a family for half an hour?? Sign me up for that shit! Dice is the man.
Insanely good podcast! I tuned in for five minutes, and wound up watching the entire show.
Look up Dice Man on Stern. Maaany hours out there. Greatness 💯
He seems like an excellent father.
Me 2!
That's exactly what I was going to say - I got totally sucked in and watched to the end.
Well first of all it's DICE, shock comic GOAT. It's always hard to look away.
Just got tickets to see Dice for a 3rd time. He's a living legend and still great onstage.
Lol nice!!!!! Lol
Im glad Dice clarified who Sugarplum was because I thought that was his nickname for Howie. Dice is a Legend!
Andrew Dice Clay's is Howie's best podcast. I wish it never ended. To Howie your frequency of interrupting is enough to cause an anxiety attack😮 Please stop interrupting😱!!!
Love Dice! One of the greatest storytellers ever. Pure genius.
First off thanks for having Dice on . Second , you know what’s great about your podcast ?? You actually let the guests talk !! Bravo to you and your daughter
Funny cause he usually doesn't so this must be a rare occasion lol.
Like Dice let's anyone get an word in edgewise.
He lets them talk???? Constantly interrupting can’t finish a story without him mterupting and asking questions
It wasn't as bad here as some of the other episodes but usually it's pretty bad, the Mike Judge episode is a good example.@@dootwoot
@spidermanhulk7574 exactly. Idk what this person was watching. Not only did he interrupt on EVERY subject, when he does interrupt he shows that he doesn't know what hes talking about. And as if that's not enough, the girl, that nobody knows, talks about blah blah blah
The story Dice told about his mother. 😂😂😂😂😂
Howie goes for wrap up #6 and Dice comes back with Almond Shaped Eyes to keep it going. Lol. Love Howie's discomfort. 😂
Dice LIVES to make people uncomfortable. It's the greatest.
This was absolutely amazing!!! 2 absolute legends!! I absolutely love when podcasts turn into story telling about their come up in the industry and being 43 yrs old this one was super special cause I came up watching and doing Diceman cigarette impersonation’s with my buddies lol!! Then Howie is an absolute F***ing legend that is absolutely killing it even more now than ever!!
Howie's reactions are the best watching Dice n looking at his daughter...Dice just goes on and onnnnn!!! An hour later he finishes about Bill Burr....Thanks Howie..
Dices midgets bit is one of the funniest things ever I hadn't laughed so hard in ages
When someone is telling a story, do not cut them off.
'Toilet plunger lips.' Magnificent!
I was so excited when Dice came out during Bill Burr's show in Newark! My son and I go to see Burr when be comes around because he's his favorite comedian. Then Clay comes out and he's one of my favorites growing up. I don't have the words to explain how special that was. Bonding moment for me and my son! ❤❤❤👏👏👏
I was at that guns concert in met life stadium NJ , pretenders opened for an hour then dice did 20 mins , then guns for over 3 hrs , incredible show , incredible night , even the cloudy skies never opened up with rain . 👍☕🚬🥃

I Remember, coming home at curfew which ended up being about the same time that special aired and sitting there with my mouth open going holy crap. This guy is amazing and naughty and dirty and I love it. I was in high school and I’ve been a fan of his ever since. 🎉😂
"And then you would run away and he would chase you. . . ?" 😂 😂 😅
I love the Dice Man! and I love the podcast Howie and Jackelyn!
this is two minute I will never get back ! Howie Too funny . Thanks Howie , so funny
I've never / ever - out of many interviews _ seen Dice laugh out so much. Tells me is happy and doing well....
Always funny. Thanks, Andrew.
Dice’s long stories are super interesting to Dice. 😀👍🏼
Great show Howie , Thanks for Having Andrew Dice Clay on… Unbelievable!!
“Listen to you, talkin dirty.” 😆
Great episode. I wish Gilbert was still with us.
Remember Gilbert doing Dice on Sterns channel 9 show I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard
do they talk about gilbert here?
Is Dice trying to look like Brian Johnson of AC/DC? 😂
I am related Dice through a marriage. Met him only once at a wedding, seemed like a nice quiet guy actually.
@@edreynolds8721bruh. Norm Macdonald is once of the OG Greats. Lol.
Great interview, love the dice man.
Sometimes i forget just how funny Dice is ehen he's off stage just doing interviews, and now I'll be checking out his tiktok vids because that's just good old fashioned simple ridiculous humor 😂😂 This guy is just naturally funny IMO.
I wish this was 4× LONGER!! ❤
Did we ever solve the neck thing?!! Diceman rules!!!
Grew up watching everything comedy when i was a kid - Carson, Letterman, SNL, Bud Freemans/Improve, stand up comedians...etc. Never knew Mandel and Clay had history together. Great stories... 😊
Dice is the greatest comedian of all time. Saw him a few years ago at the Tropicana in Vegas. He comes out wearing these huge baggy jenco style jeans , the muscle shirt, the huge glasses of course , and a full head of gray hair. His act was great of course , but the funniest moments are when he wasn't saying a word. There aren't many comedians who can make a crowd die laughing , without saying anything! Lifetime fan.
That is such a good point and so important and accurate thank you for making that point
Dice is da man!! Honest and open. Great job you two!
27:20 for the “Bill Burr thing”
The Andrew Dice Clay "Y'know" count is insane
that ending though omg hahahahahaaa
Uncrompencable Howie!
Long Live Dice!
Great interview.. all three of you!!
❤ fantastic session ❤ both of you ❤
Thank you Howie for having Andrew dice clay on your show !! I can't remember the last time I saw him perform this is great. The first time I saw him it was him doing his comedy routine on tv I loved it because it was very unique , very funny , and dice is a really good looking guy too.. also let's not forget a good actor too. Dice is a legend!
Luv yah dice 🤗❤️❤️❤️🎉♋
I'm glad I watched this episode I never knew The Dice Man didn't really care about stand up and he just wanted to be an actor very interesting for some reason I never heard that before and I watched almost every podcast he's on and many other interviews it's sad how howie keeps trying to derail the convo but he does that to a lot of his guests lol dice is trying to tell great stories I want more
I go to bed late too all my life.. my son too. It's after 8AM now and I'm still watching this, but I nap a bit after dinner. A lot of us are late night people all our lives, so I get Dice.
Love it howie and the dice man bada bing bada boom!!!!!!!! Forget about it
The Day the Laughter Died is the greatest live comedy LP of all time! Dice Rules🔥
How could you say "of all time" when there is Louis C.K, when there is Norm Macdonald, when there is Dave Chappelle and Kat Williams, when there is Steven Wright, Mitch Hedburg, Bill Burr and even Pete Holmes. That's like saying KISS is the best rock band of all time after listening to Led Zeppelin. The only excuse for you standing by that statement is that you've only ever heard comedy from Dice and objectively terrible comedians.
This was awesome! I enjoyed seeing Dice.
Dice is the best....when his nursery rhymes routine first came out,me and my buddies would get all banged up and laugh our nuts off listening to the Dice Man for the next 90 mins! Dems were da dayz! Hickory dickory dock.......you KNOW THE REST! Thanks for putting the" King" on!
I love that, no curse words only phenomenal curses on them personally.
Hilarious! Love it! Good stuff Howie!
His show "DICE" on Showtime is Criminally underrated. There's a few episodes on TH-cam, It's so fuckin funny.
Always loved Dice he's always been himself even when it may have meant his career. You have to admire that.
Wonderful to hear about all ADC's adventures..
Could listen gor hours
Loved this episode ❤
"She won't do anything with her lips?" - Howie I love you. Never change - lol
*The Man The Myth The Legend The Dice Man* 😎
Pathetic
Really liked the interview
Hickory Dickory Dock. Circa 1987 ? Fishing trip. 20 miles out. Whiskey, cigars & lots of fish. Buddy sticks this Diceman cassette in. We laughed until we nearly passed out from lack of Oxygen. Thank you Diceman. What a trip.
Toilet plunger lipps got me dying laughing .. and then they had to put up a pic with a girl with one..😅😂
THIS WAS FANATASTIC!!
Love Dice! Saw him Live at Sycuan Casino, San Diego years back, and it was surreal. 👊🏽
The Diceman Cometh😎
I remember sneaking and watching dice's stand up when my parents were sleep!
Every time I listen to dice there’s a new story, a lot of life lessons
That was great. Now I gotta go look up the video of him coming out to GnR. That gave me chills!
Couldn’t stop laughing!
I’m watching…it’s 23:58…that’s 11:58 pm for non mil…bye buddies..bye Andrew…it’s been an honor…much respect…and yes..family…and Andrew is quite the dad…and the Kind We Need so so much more…Thank yoooooz!
great episode. Andrew Dice Clay is always a blast.💖💖💖
i absolutely lost it when i heard him do travolta🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I was working at Bally's Hotel and Casino Atlantic City Front Desk Clerk & Cashier and Dice Clay was doing a show there I think it was '91. My favorite comedian at the time. My co-workers let me take his Managers credit card to to his room in hopes I'd see Dice. Bummer I only came face to face with what seemed like a bodyguard he was huge. Something Black was his Managers name. Big deal for me since Bally's was my first big job at 19 years old. I remember that moment till this day even though I never saw Andrew Dice Clay when I took the credit card back to the room which I assumed was Dice's room. They had him registered under the name Cotton Sweatshirt. 😂
Like the show. Great learning more background on The Dice Man.
This was actually realy good...
Awesome episode 🔥
The two Comedians that shook the world are Richard Pryor and Dice. This was a great Podcast. Thank you
That was hilarious!!
Dice is the best! Infinitely listenable.
I love how Howie shuts down his daughter when she interrupts.
Kids you don’t know how big Dice was late 80’s, early 90’s he was massive
And still not funny....😉
Andrew Dice Clay... ALWAYS BEEN A FAN!!
💥🤘🏼😎🚬💥
This was way better than the Rogan interview. Clay was pretty antagonistic and defensive but he and Howie have been friends for years so maybe that makes the difference.
Dice always gets an automatic 👍 from me
People watching this who weren't around during his peak years might think he's embellishing just how big a star he was... He's not, if anything he's underplaying it. There was no one bigger or funnier than Andrew Dice Clay, and for me, his comedy stands up 40 years later and he's still killing it today. We luv ya Dice!!!
The only reason dice is having any comeback moment at all is that comedy is going through a very bad time right now. There's a small handful carrying it all on their shoulders. Dice is and will always be an entertainer, but he never was and will never be a comic. He's a great actor. His first bit was actually just him acting....not a single joke, just him acting like the fonz or doing the absent minded professor bit, and then he realized that he could draw a crowd by being "outrageous". I can't respect a comic just because they were at one time the biggest thing ever, because at one time Dane Cook was the biggest thing, at one time Bert Kreischer was the biggest thing, at one time a guy spinning plates was the biggest thing......ect. Just because nobody else is willing to tell a certain joke on stage doesn't make that joke funny. You can't just forget that someone got rich being a homophobic, misogynist, racist who didn't write a single actual joke. McDonald's is the most successful, that doesn't mean they are the best....that just means they are willing to sell the most absolute crap to the most people.
My definition of what makes someone a comedian, if he (she) gets up on stage, starts talking, I start laughing, they're a comedian...
I doubt many, if any comedians "act" the same off stage as they do on... Brian Regan? Jim Gaffigan? Bill Burr? All funny, all "acting"
Little Boy Blew...Ooooooh, he needed the money!😆😆😆😆
I've watched Ford Fairlane, probably, 50 times since 1990. Still a great flic for Dice.👍
Man, that green screen image behind Howie is super hard on the eyes.
Dice I would argue is the greatest stand up of all time, hes done what no other stand up living or died has done. Hes been relevant his entire career, hes never had a stupid "me 2" scandal. No other comedian has the longevity of career, with the success hes had. I would put him up against any1 for the number 1 comedian of all time. Saying hes a trailblazer is an understatement, he did stuff other comedians wouldnt do for another 10 years. He lost countless jobs and gigs, because he wouldnt compromise his comedic integrity for money. Hes the real deal no one has done it better for longer.
Brain Smasher was one of my favorite movies as I was growing up. I don't get how it didn't become a cult classic rhe way Big Trouble in Little China did as they both had the same irreverent yet fun vibe. Truely under-rated work of genius. It's a fuggin' travesty.
We are not Ninjas!
