    Hi Martin - Where you been?? Hope you are all doing well. I really like your work ethic and style. Sweet gift from Neal for your LX. Just got a little tractor time in, the first after a long, wet, winter. Nice. All cleaned and greased and ready for work. Take care my friend. Thanks for the video. And thanks to Neal for reaching out to a community favorite. 👍

      Hi Paul! I’ve been INSANELY busy managing contractors on Spring home improvement projects that I could do but neither my wife or I have the patience to wait the many months it would take me to do them. Instead, they’ll get done in a few weeks. Glad you are starting to get some tractor time. I’ve been getting more as well since it’s started warming up. Thank you for the kind words and for watching, my friend!

    WELL WELCOME BACK MY FRIEND!!! Missed you on here Martin…thought maybe you were working on your tan again!!😎🤣
    I’ll have to measure my Kioti CX for a possible fit!! I’ve long enjoyed watching Messicks videos and having a big ole “M” brushguard on my non-kubota tractor for advertising, would be cool! And NO welding!!😎
    Get those projects contracted out so YOU can have some TRACTOR fun!!👍🏻🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♂️😎
    GREAT to see you again!

    I ordered a 5ElevenDesigZ brush guard several months ago, and I'm very happy with the design and heavy quality of the guard. It is offered in orange, green etc., and also has a side guard to better protect the side of the grille and lights. Thanks, Bob

    • @DIYMyWay
      @DIYMyWay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bob! I remember coming across their brush guards a while back when I was deciding whether to build or buy. Then along came Messick’s offering me one for free. Best deal I’ve found yet! Personally I like the brush guard in black, which is a good thing since that’s the only color Messick’s offer. Of course it could always be painted any color. Thanks for watching!

    • @rfb7117
      @rfb7117 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree FREE is tough to beat. The 511 also comes in black, I just ordered green as I felt it matched my tractor better than the black. I'm not sure in the metal thickness etc., but just wanted to let folks know there is another quality option available.

    In my opinion, putting a brush guard on these little compact tractors is a no- brainer. There is so much expensive stuff up front that just simply needs to be protected. Even a stock no larger than a # 2 pencil can cause thousands in damage if it is caught at just the wrong angle

    Hi, I like your honest evals of equipment. Im about ready to buy a new Kubota L2502 hst and I would like your opinion on which rotary cutter (Landpride RCR1260, RCR1860) to buy and should i get a slip-clutch or shear bolt. I dont like working on things alot if its not needed (slip clutches, etc.) I will be primarily mowing areas that have been mowed before. Thanks

    • @DIYMyWay
      @DIYMyWay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I’d get the RC1860 if you’ll be mowing a lot. It’s heavy duty build will make it last a long time. Slip clutches require regular maintenance to keep them operating reliably and are expensive. Sheer bolts are cheap and relatively easy to replace. I have several spare ones but have yet to break the original. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    • @DIYMyWay
      @DIYMyWay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Todd! I never use a power washer. I always hand wash it if it’s muddy, but often it’s just dusty so I’ll blow it off with my leaf blower then maybe wipe it down with a damp cloth. Thanks for the visit!

    Looks to me like it makes swinging the front bumper out a lot harder. I No headlights. What in the heck were they thinking?

    • @DIYMyWay
      @DIYMyWay  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, not at all. The resistance is determined by how tight the pivot bolts are. ANY brush guard insert worth a damn will block the headlights, but since the front end loader blocks the lights too, it doesn’t matter. Anyone with a front end loader should add ROPS or canopy mounted LED lights like I did. They provide WAY more light anyway. Thanks for watching!
