yeah so it was proven in set 11 that units like Ornn who had huge model sizes would get targeted first. Bruisers, units with items, upgraded units, etc... would all break the 50/50 rule. If the code hasnt changed then yes Giant Size would always be targeted first.
it’s the one thing i hate about them turning zephyr into a support item, was probably a good design choice, but i had the most fun using zephyr to wrap the frontline
Cool vid. But I wish there's a part explaining when to split or clump your BL carries ( I believe this is bad if against FL Elise). I usually see pros split their carries each side, for ex: Zoe and Jinx in rebel comp. I always lose with Rebel and Dominator BR comp, I understand these comps kinda suck in last patch but I do believe positioning also matter. There's funny moment like Elise and Sion jump away and exposed my full item Mord. Also can't exposed the mundo coz he also has to ramping up. Please cover these 2 comps, coz every time i pivot to these comps I get rekt.
When should you position melee carries top left or top right corner? I’ve seen a lot of players position Camille/Smeech in those positions. People even position Akali or Steb/Trundle with augment there often.
@@SleeplessWrestling Yeah but the video doesn't really go over positioning those units. He states that you should always put your strongest tank on the outside which I never see when playing comps with heavy front line carries.
I say put the strongest tank on the side ur enemy will target because fundamentally the philosophy behind any positioning is keeping your damage alive as long as possible. The whole point of the video is about avoiding just copying what you see and understanding the reasoning behind it all. You play camille/smeech in those spots when the have conditions like: - LDP - Edge of Night - they are too tanky/bursty too care about being targeted
No he doesnt. Experiment doesnt activate unless he is on a Lab hex and Pit fighter is not a real tank trait otherwise you're implying you would front line a Draven. Yes, if you 3* him, get a healing item on him, get an anomaly on him and build your entire board around him then yes, he is a drain tank. But clearly im talking about the norm and not the exception. Kogmaw also becomes a front line unit when you 3* him and give him a Locket and build an entire comp around him. I'm still going to tell players to backline him cause he's a 4th row unit 99% of the time. If you want to frontline a random urgot you have and let it die in 3 secs than feel free to.
If you have good fundamentals, this is all the positioning you need to know to hit GM every set. I know because i've literally seen it multiple times with my students across 8 sets.
Most helpful video I’ve watched in a while. Everyone talks about positioning but never breaks down the basics. Went 1-3-1-3-1 after watching this.
That's awesome to hear! Glad you enjoyed it, the basics are so important.
Your page is so invaluable! Not only do I watch for your insight but also the creator behind it. Genuinely like watching your content.
Cool, thank you so much! Getting good positioning is hard for me - you provide a lot of info.
Your vids are one of the few interesting content on TFT on TH-cam.
Learned a lot thx to you
u said model size matters. So does Giant Size anomolly actually increases the odds of the unit being targeted?
That's what I was wondering

If I am playing Renata reroll how do I position against Elise stun or Smeech? Those are the comps I struggle with.
just position away from them and make sure your renatta is shielding ur most important units. You dont need to clump late game with that comp.

so they can wrap and maybe target a carry

3:30 Urgot has 2 Traits that make him tankier. That is a really bad example since urgot wants to be frontlined. He is a draintank.
