- "Early Morning Raga" is the new single by The Analog Session (Alexander Robotnick & Ludus Pinsky) released by Hot Elephant Music.
With this track, the two artists tackle a style which , just like Jazz, is considered the most profound and refined expression of melodic improvisation in music: Indian Raga.
Robotnick and Pinsky never claimed to compare with Indian classical music Masters who traditionally spend up to 10 years studying and practicing before playing in front of an audience. Anyway, drawing on their long experience with modal improvisation, they decided to pay tribute to a music style which is only superficially known to the Western public.
The video-clip is produced by A. Robotnick ,with the support of Gianni Manetti's graphic art.
The central element in this clip is a Wasp, the synth designed in 1976 by Albert Wagner , who unfortunately passed away recently, whose technical characteristics, in Robotnick's opinion , magically blend with the Indian style.
In this clip the Wasp looks like a sort of UFO, symbolising electronics' intrusion on Indian tradition.
It is therefore with great satisfaction ( although maybe a little bit pretentiously) that Hot Elephant Music opens this window onto Indian electronic music to the Western public, in the hope of encouraging some other Indian producers to deal with their unique and matchless roots b because if something must be saved from the pervasive standardization deriving from wild and super fast globalisation , it's indeed the artistic expression of different cultures, as this is peoples' true and invaluable wealth.

It reminds me Charanjit Singh's album Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat, which were ragas, but recorded with drum machines and synths.

It'd be my really great dream, once to come to Firenze to be able to work with you in your studio there and to observe your work with Ludus Pinsky!!. - I don't know whether at all it'll be anytime possible, but hope, it's just a question of time!!. - I'll try to find a music agency or job in Firenze to be able to live and pay for the flat there in order to be able to take the EDM lessons from you right there on the place - since this is my really great dream as the EDM is a big and very important part of my "Perpetua Melodia" music conception, so it should be also good learnt and known!.. And whom else it's yet possible to learn from when not from you, the electronic genius - for me you're the best music producer of the WORLD!!! Best greetings from Hanover, Germany!!

m8w audience was not to my liking mmm they said they were ready to pay and promote me no - not fear. a difference of Ideals and static followed after, I produced 50+ 6hr video sessions with graphics by the time it was 2010 and I was changing to dvd and then just as many 6 hr dvds.. but live audience is bull they are all dead... before I start playing ... and they don't care of the details or sounds I am constructing. Finally youtube live feed is the best way to record live.,,, we know this. these last 20 years of engrossed experimentation of sound and form. left so much more to do. I use a supernova II ... by novation and korg and other digital devices for audio construction performances (not to self- so what Bill not the promoter page here.) solid still

Maybe Behringer will make a new copy of the WASP synthesizer. Robotnik is master of that thing.
@@pogsquatch I guess some of the required electronic components couldn't be produced anymore.
@@keinunvergebenesaliasgefunden theyre all available, because it was a special synth made to be affordable, plastic and sort of fragile, but still, a two oscillator monosynth with a terrific filter and a ton of character.. so on its affordability they used common parts too. theres a guy in the UK currently selling a DIY kit "remake" of this synth, look up for the "Jasper synth", i built me one, its amazing and endearing
The mantras from the Analog synth were great. I'm sure that the gods in those temples would be happy now!
