This Northernor (Ohio) is going nuts. I have a GT500 and several Harleys just sitting. I am hoping I can take mine out early next week, the weather might cooperate.
I hope they make things more affordable. A Hurricane six is fine. A Hurricane V8 would logically be a step up, so you would have a N/A six, a turboed six, and two or three V8’s from there up.
I have a 1967 dodge R/T that i drive only once a year, change oil every few years, never had an issue.....also have 2005 SRT-4 ACR, same thing, drive it once a year, change oil every few years, no issues....
My son has a charger and ram 4x4 and I have a journey out back and had a challenger and I will say though it makes sense that dodge put such emphasis into the engines they kinda crapped out on the rest of the car but I get it in order to keep the car affordable. Like the return of the syclone it was around 25,000 new with a 3.9 v6 back around 2019 or 18 but the next year they went sc v8 and it jumped to 50,000: and eventually into the 70's any way 25 g increase in engine change and I'm sure dodge surpasses that. I'm not talking crate motor I mean development and variations so they cheaped out on a few things to cut cost. Maybe they all do it i dunno. One would think yes but I believe they were built for us to modify like from new. Brand new! First thing is seek out fail points and remove and replace with stronger materials. Like the plastic tees in the water lines or the 14 ga. connecting ends on 10 gauge wire for the radiator fan just sayin.
It's missing the dents in the doors. It needs double chevrons or at least single ones like the original charger. That'll give you some lines to work with And bring those hips out.
On the show Motorweek they reviewed the charger EV today, and they did mention that it weighs like 1200-1300 lbs MORE than the hellcat. And in the higher trim model they start at $76,000😳
I am a fan of the supercharged motors and NOT interested in a turbo motor. Most turbo motors have issues with the turbo itself over time. I feel they lead to reliability issues.
supercharged but with a different name. turbos are cool and all but they would have to really come up with a good reason and a cool name i mean hellcat and Demon also scat pack were unique. but they also have a slew of names like road runner, Cuda, super bird to name most but they are really gonna need to think outside the box to save the up coming future of the company.
I drew a concept charger back in 2018 that looks a lot like the new charger and it had a twin turbo 6.4 hemi...get forged pistons, rods, and crank and let's say 65-70mm turbos with a 10 lbs gates should be perfect
You take the 3.6 v6 stroke and bore add 2 cylinder and covert it to a 90 degree V8. That is 4.8 or 292 cubic inch. Instead of super charging it which takes power off the crankshaft, lost power and torque. If you double turbocharge it , your taking power off the exhaust also quiet down the muffler systems system.also you don't have supercharger whine. If you use the cast iron sleeves in the aluminum block it's very light and strong and compact and easy 500 to 550 hp at 6000 rpm and eco friendly.
I don't know why anybody would put em up in October, in Maine we didn't get any snow till late December you don't have to put a car up because it's cool or cold out they actually absolutely love that weather. That demon out in 40° weather would feel like a different animal vs a 75° to 80° day. I love driving my fun vehicals to the point I always daily them. I am willing to put up with crap fuel economy just to enjoy my work commute. Id go crazy only driving my old mustang gt once a week. And my old muscle truck has been off the road for about 2 years and it's going back on the road this summer hell or high water. I wouldn't want a car I was worried about miles being racked up, the demons value is already tanking compared to what they were selling for so trying to preserve it by keeping it low mileage to use it as an investment is foolish, there are investments with way better dividends.you only live once if you love hot rods then buy a car you love and drive it and find a solid investments for making money elsewhere.
I think they should bring back the 1968 to 1970 Charger body style with some of today’s modern things and the lighter weight would be awesome. Also give us a true 2 door hardtop.
If they would take the back half of the challenger from door pillar back and adapt a hemi of sorts into it wouldn't be able to keep them on lot I think the rear from door pillar back makes it look too long in portion
Dodge chevy and ford should partner up for a bad ass motor. I know it won't hapoen but if all companies can come together to make a product, you'll get the best out of all of them.
Your Hellcat is gorgeous, especially with those polished wheels. The new Charger is too "slab-sided", with no accent lines and door indentures to separate the roofline from the rear fenders like the original Charger and Challenger bodies. Please get rid of Ralph Gilles, Chief Designer who has outlived his usefulness. He should have been fired over the design of the Wagoneer, which could have been drop-dead gorgeous.
Bruh I definitely agree with having wider hips, I the Daytona 2 days ago in black here Houston. And the car looks beautiful it's slightly larger than the 3rd gen Challenger, but not as big as how some people describe it.
Dont do direct injecton the valves carbon up big time, then you will have to pour a cleaner in the throttle body every 5 to 10 k miles to keep to perform right. That is why the 3.6 doesnt have it.
I would like to see the hemi engine that you mentioned V8 twin Turbo, but put it in the rumored 2026 CUDA that could be coming out soon that Tim Kuniskis showed under the car cover just the corner of it 🇺🇲💪😎
Not all of canada is like that tho...here in southern Alberta, we get Chinooks that blow in warm southern air...melts all the snow in a matter of days...therefore..I drive my restomodded Buick all year round.
How about electric motor FWD 120hp and RWD 2.99L V8 belt driven supercharger Paxton 320 - 360hp. So electric motor gives you that instant pull till gas motor reaches 2400rpm. Then a switch for EV mode for city, parking lot, etc stop and go traffic. While off boost, it's a 2.99L that stays under some European taxes.
The Gen IV 《HEMI》if it does get into production should have 8 Spark plugs instead of 16 if possible. We deserve much better than the current offerings✌🏼😎☯️
With the recent thoughts on backing off on the EPA standards (heard possibly back to the 80's or even the early 70's), It'd be nice to see dodge bring out a low cost lightweight (Think dart/Valiant size and weight) and offer it without the stupid computer in the dash. Keep the cost around 20-30K and it'd sell like hotcakes. Another thing I'd like to see is a bigger size version to compete with the 7.3 Godzilla engine Ford has
I think dodge should redesign the new charger so its not a hatchback and but the curve taillights in the car and make a more fuel efficient 5.7,6.4,6.2 but put real hemi heads on there and make the 5.7 make 442 bhp and the scat 525bhp and make the charger light add sum carbon fiber doors trunk and front fenders and offer a twin turbo pentastar v6 in the base model cars and ram start back putting hemis in there truck and offer tge 6.4 in ram 1500’s and chrysler bring back the 300 and 200 and make the 200 a 2 door coupe with a hurricane 6 make 450hp factory and a 200 rt with 5.7 hemi making 500 and that would sell all day
I think Ram trucks could have the sport truck market corner if they bring back the TRX at the top, below that the RHO. Give the Raptor and Raptor R a run for the money. I think Dodge has the right idea, bring back the V8 for the diehards and use the Charger Daytona for those electric heads and give Tesla nightmares. Especially if you combined the hellcat V8 with twin electric motors. 2000 hp baby. 😅😂. Let Dodge corner the market on sports cars. Give Chrysler some new models with the turbo six, Hemi V8 and a couple hybrids and electric vehicles. 😊
I want the ev charger, and i want a gas powered pony car with options galore. I lije the idea of the charger going ev because the charger was the bigger heavier car to begin with, and with the name charger, it has kind of a pun with the whole electric car thing. and then you have the challenger. which would be the gas powered poney car. smaller, offered in manual, with lots of options so you can make it your muscle car. A cuda would be super fly to. the challengers had its hay day for the past 16 years, bring the cuda back incredibly custamizable. i6, i6tt, v8, v8sc, v8tt. make them to order, cut the dealer out of the middle because of the rediculus mark ups, and the cars will fly off the shelf. the sales of the cuda would support the endeavor of the charger. my personal opinion and day dream.
I think they are going to resurrect the previous plans in which this Charger was shown in the 2015 Anonymous dealer event in which there was Next gen Challenger and Cuda( a hard top convertible variant of the Challenger). The Challenger a modernized form of the classic Challenger body profile, but the face looks identical to a modern European sport car. And there was powered 3 powertrains, one is electric, one is the Inline 6 twin turbo, and the 3rd was a Hemi Hybrid engine
The ev charger has a decent design except for it needs: Those signature front door edge louver bulges, the gas cap door is way too big "not proportional to the car's side profile", the rear bumblebee stripe(s), that quarter panel window needs more pointyness, The rear of the car looks too much like the front- get rid of those ridiculous lower side corner vents, the LED "light bars" need that signature middle hump, or: (take inspiration of the 68 tail light design), The front: lose those weird front corner lower bulges & replace it with running lights.... 😉
Why not offer a version like they did back in the 60s with the super stock cars Barebones none of the frills just a flat out race car I know it’ll be a lot of money to tie up just run the quarter mile in, but that would really take a shot over the hood of the other companies
Twin turbo V8 would be great but, just don't see it coming down the pipe line due to the horrendous mismanagement of the previous CEO, it's all about trying salvage what's left of the company.
What was wrong with the just discontinued Charger/Challenger/300. Weren't they selling well anymore? While I like the look of the '25 Charger, the EV only thing is a non starter and at 70 grand, no way. The hurricane seems wrought with problems so perhaps a small V8, naturally aspirated for base (affordable) cars along with a mid size V8 and a twin turbo for upmarket (and as an options on a base car). Pricing will be everything all the way around and if dealers keep playing their games, the new cars will be a flop. Now that the EPA has been neutered, there is no reason not to give consumers what we want at an affordable price. My last two new vehicles (a '23 Camaro and a '24 Maverick AWD were less than 30 grand each.

Love the new chassis. My question is why turbo on the smaller v8 why get rid of the supercharger love the wine of it seems that's old school power and the twin turbos is the new generation. Idk
Aluminum block 5.5L/336ci(690cc/42ci per cylinder, 99.3mm/3.910 inch bore × 88.9mm/3.500 inch stroke) DOHC V8 for the 1500, and Charger and a cast iron 6.8L/416ci(850cc/52ci per cylinder, 103.4/4.070×101.6/4.000) DOHC gas/diesel V8 for the HD trucks. Both have 4.460 small block bore spacing, the 5.5L has a 222.25mm/8.750 deck height, the 6.8L is 254mm/10.000.
How would an inline 8 cylinder look/sound?
They have the technology/engineering with the Hurricane turbo engines already
Do we add two cylinders and call it a day?
Otherwise we're looking at an all new V8, dual, overhead cam, probably the flat plane crank set up with turbos.
Or the flat plane crank V8 , N/A on one axle(600 ish HP) and an electric motor on the other axle(200 ish HP).
Happy New Year!
Inline 8 would never fit and wouldn't get the audience they need. Twin turbo V8 is the play I've heard about for the top end power plant.
You can look back to the 19 teen and 1920's and see plenty of straight 8's.. Its not what you would want for a perf vehicle..
Chrysler used to be all about them inline engine eons ago.
They need to dig out the old schematics from their archives and make their own powerplants again.
These new Chargers need to go on a diet. Jeeeeez they're HEAVY!
Just stumbled across your channel. I’m loving my ‘23 Last Ride Charger R/T!
As for the new Charger, I like the looks, but not an EV fan at all! I would be interested in getting one with the next gen hemi…as long as it sheds some weight and is normally aspirated.
Just subscribed. Keep the vids coming!
Thanks for following a long and enjoy that new ride!
Hi, the Demon is beautiful. I have a Hellcat. Is the oil pressure hack you described a Demon feature only or does that work on Hellcats as well?
Yep, works on Hellcat.
@@SpeedysGarage Thank you!
I think Dodge Charger and Challenger wide 2018-2023 as classic models similar to the RAM 1500 classic chassis affordable option many Mopar Brotherhood and muscle car enthusiast love the Wide body SRT Scat Pack Hemi V8, SRT Hellcat Supercharger V8 engine, Demon Supercharger V8, I think 5.0l V8 engine Twin turbocharged or Supercharger V8 competing with the 5.0L Coyote Ford Mustang 🐎 and F-150 5.0L Coyote , GM 5.3L LT V8 engine, LT1 6.2 V8 engine and LT4 Supercharger 6.2 V8, LT6 5.5 V8 , LT8 6.6L V8, Ford Godzilla 6.8L V8 and 7.3 Godzilla V8, Stellantis probably setback Dodge and Ram and Jeep and Chrysler hurricane 3.0L I6 twin turbos, Any V8 engine From Dodge has up to the customer want.
This Northernor (Ohio) is going nuts. I have a GT500 and several Harleys just sitting. I am hoping I can take mine out early next week, the weather might cooperate.
My list of parked summer vehicles is so long it would take 5 minutes to list them. I hate winter!
I hope they make things more affordable. A Hurricane six is fine. A Hurricane V8 would logically be a step up, so you would have a N/A six, a turboed six, and two or three V8’s from there up.
How much for drag pack?
Probably be a hybrid if they go small displacement
I’d love to a new Hemi in next generation Cuda. I would show up with a check very early on.😉
On the show Motorweek they reviewed the charger EV today, and they did mention that it weighs like 1200-1300 lbs MORE than the hellcat. And in the higher trim model they start at $76,000😳
I am a fan of the supercharged motors and NOT interested in a turbo motor. Most turbo motors have issues with the turbo itself over time. I feel they lead to reliability issues.
Your lips to the bosses at Chrysler ears!
We can hope!
supercharged but with a different name. turbos are cool and all but they would have to really come up with a good reason and a cool name i mean hellcat and Demon also scat pack were unique. but they also have a slew of names like road runner, Cuda, super bird to name most but they are really gonna need to think outside the box to save the up coming future of the company.
I think the salt on the roads, but I hear ya. I drive mine all year around but wouldn't if salt was on the road, my OCD would go in to overdrive lol.
I think they should bring back the 1968 to 1970 Charger body style with some of today’s modern things and the lighter weight would be awesome. Also give us a true 2 door hardtop.
I learned something new today
I want to see a durango with that new v8 engine, as well
Definitely, trucks too!
If they would take the back half of the challenger from door pillar back and adapt a hemi of sorts into it wouldn't be able to keep them on lot I think the rear from door pillar back makes it look too long in portion
5L, Direct Injection, Electric assisted Twin Turbo (MGU-H style). 10-25 PSI @ 650 - 1000 HP.
You not a engineer, just a day dreamer
Dodge chevy and ford should partner up for a bad ass motor. I know it won't hapoen but if all companies can come together to make a product, you'll get the best out of all of them.
Its so hard to believe its comming back
Your Hellcat is gorgeous, especially with those polished wheels.
Please bring back the v8 no turbo no super charging.
Definitely need turbo charging, probably COMPOUND TURBOCHARGING!!
How would I get in touch about purchasing those wheels?
Shoot me a msg on FB or Instagram.
Bruh I definitely agree with having wider hips, I the Daytona 2 days ago in black here Houston. And the car looks beautiful it's slightly larger than the 3rd gen Challenger, but not as big as how some people describe it.
How much for the airbox?
Shoot me a msg on Instagram or FB.
Dont do direct injecton the valves carbon up big time, then you will have to pour a cleaner in the throttle body every 5 to 10 k miles to keep to perform right. That is why the 3.6 doesnt have it.
I want to see a new 6 liter 4 valve dohc hemi with an alloy block and twin turbo
How much for the wheels I have a 2011 drag pak challenger
Shoot me a msg on FB or Instagram.
The Gen IV 《HEMI》if it does get into production should have 8 Spark plugs instead of 16 if possible. We deserve much better than the current offerings✌🏼😎☯️
YES PLEASE!
Another thing I'd like to see is a bigger size version to compete with the 7.3 Godzilla engine Ford has
Modern squard body dodge dart with short wheel base, and the hurrican engine would be cool.
I think dodge should redesign the new charger so its not a hatchback and but the curve taillights in the car and make a more fuel efficient 5.7,6.4,6.2 but put real hemi heads on there and make the 5.7 make 442 bhp and the scat 525bhp and make the charger light add sum carbon fiber doors trunk and front fenders and offer a twin turbo pentastar v6 in the base model cars and ram start back putting hemis in there truck and offer tge 6.4 in ram 1500’s and chrysler bring back the 300 and 200 and make the 200 a 2 door coupe with a hurricane 6 make 450hp factory and a 200 rt with 5.7 hemi making 500 and that would sell all day
Once you go under 5.0 liters it starts to sound less masculine.🤣🤣🤣
You've just created a very expensive turbo in your mind. It's the same tech used in airplane engines, both prop and jet.
How much for the drag pack
Shoot me a msg on Instagram or FB.
Unfortunately asking for 500 lb reduction and then adding all-wheel drive is basically impossible
Don't tell Porsche :)
Would be nice if they use all alloy fittings, manifolds, waterpump etc to make it properly reliable long term
Not sure the demand is there for a new muscle car. There are still new 23 challengers unsold.
I think that's more price related than anything.
That would be interesting.
Why not an aluminum block?
Shaves 100lbs but there were problems.
The ev charger has a decent design except for it needs:
Those signature front door edge louver bulges, the gas cap door is way too big "not proportional to the car's side profile", the rear bumblebee stripe(s), that quarter panel window needs more pointyness,
The rear of the car looks too much like the front- get rid of those ridiculous lower side corner vents, the LED "light bars" need that signature middle hump, or: (take inspiration of the 68 tail light design),
The front: lose those weird front corner lower bulges & replace it with running lights.... 😉
Why not offer a version like they did back in the 60s with the super stock cars Barebones none of the frills just a flat out race car I know it’ll be a lot of money to tie up just run the quarter mile in, but that would really take a shot over the hood of the other companies
Demon (OG and 170) were that if you ordered bare bones. I drive mine so mine's got some goodies.
Twin turbo V8 would be great but, just don't see it coming down the pipe line due to the horrendous mismanagement of the previous CEO, it's all about trying salvage what's left of the company.
What's V8 about a hurricane?
It's unfortunate on how bad dodge is now. I absolutely love them I have a 1500 but dodge just falls apart in the interior, motor and the body
V8 all the way. Would not even consider current offerings
Wait the hurricane is supposed to be a v6, are they doing a v8 version?
I wish you were correct on the 2026 V8, but according to Tim if keyword if it could happen. Nothing is for certain.
They need something new IMO, but offering the previous generation as a "classic" option for special order is a great idea.
I think the new engine is going to be A version of the 4 litre twin cam Mercedes.
