The 'chaat' spread on offer was tempting and your reaction,as usual, priceless. However, having gorged on various versions of 'sev batata puris' in roadside stalls to restaurants in Mumbai all one's life, seeing beet root slivers and chopped cucumber in the sev puri dish seemed a bit sacrilegious!! :-D

watching your video right after dinner still makes no sense. I get hungry again !!! Ive always loved and bragged about the Chaat at Elco market. will visit this place soon. I love Pani puri Sev puri with an extra sprinkling of kachchi Keyri in season. when I came bk after 6 yrs of staying abroad, the next day i demanded to go to Elco first thing in the morning. we went in an auto and I was out of the auto even before it could stop at Elco market !! my husband was shocked the way I jumped out and ordered my Pani puri. by the time he came to me after paying the auto guy I was already in Pani puri heaven and Sev puri was on its way. He describes my expression of eating pani puri as "Pure Bliss" 🤣🤣. street food / fast food of Mumbai is simply out of this world.

Good variety. Never liked the idea of a Jhaal Moodi with raw mustard oil but looking at this episode, think I will try it. The Poochkas are not just different for their filling even the sour water or theekha pani is way different. I have been used to the Sion Guru Kirpa taste - Sindhi style.
There is nothing that can beat the crispiness and the addictive taste of a boiled Aloo mashed with spices and cooked on a tawa with loads of oil. The more it cooks slowly and more karara it gets the better. It can be then had in different forms. Just as it is or with some spicy chat masala or with chutneys or the with dahi etc. All combinations are a hit. In some places, I go late so that I get the last few patties that have stayed on the tawa for longer and are now super crisp.
Somehow Samosas in Mumbai are nothing compared to up north. Even the Kachodi from Rajasthan is awesome. Remember my relative getting one made fresh in morning in Jodhpur and we re-heated it on a tawa in Mumbai in evening. One of the best snack I have had.
Btw in places like Mathura , Vrindavan and some cities in UP the chaat wala bhaiya may also have a special chat just to disget all the chaat you have consumed. There are days I wish such chaat walas were here in Mumbai.
Those were really big poochkas and that was a successful attempt by Kunal to wallop it in one go but next time it should be filled entirely with the meetha theeka paani !
