I owned Studio 3s since 2017 and thought I was upgrading with the Sony WH-1000XM4 because of reviews like this one. I immediately returned them and bought me a brand new pair of Studio 3s. You are comparing brand new 2020 Apple Airpods Max headphones to 2017 Apple "Beats By Dre (Dr. Dre)" headphones. That tells us Studio 3s still hold their own heavy in the market. Beats were specifically designed for Hip Hop music (heavy bass) listeners. Bose won the NFL sponsor, and 99% of the players still wear their own personal Studio 3s on and off the field. The NBA players mostly rock Studio 3s as well. 2022 I personally see 99% Beats Studio 3s or Solo 3s in gyms. I haven't seen one pair of the AirPods Max, and very seldom see Bose or Sony headphones. They are airplane/travel headphones in my opinion. Airpods Max definitely not superior to Apples Dre Beats Studio 3s in my opinion.

Im in the same situation. Ive had my studio beats since 2017 and every other headphone just isnt the same. I listen to a lot of house and techno music and the songs dont hit the same on other headphones. I was hoping a studio 4 would come out soon but I think since Apple owns beats they are going to try and push their over ear headphones instead. I just want to know if these airpod maxs are similar or better to the already great beat studios
@@pselfless Yep, this entire "V sound" nonsense is basically trying to attach a negative label on music with heavy bass and a more encompassing listening preference. Basically, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin music, and Techno music listeners. The biggest most popular music genres on the planet over the past many years. When Dr. Dre sold his interest in Beats to Apple, it went from an iconic music producer design to an IT company. Urban "V sound" music listeners made over the ear headphones mainstream/trendy over the past 5-years. IT companies took control and focused on noise cancelling tech, Alexa compatible, clear sounds, and a clear mic for phone calls for their design. It's designed for commuting and office work listeners. 2022 Sony WH-1000XM4 just became #1 in 2022 sales and 2017 Studio 3s are #2 on Amazon. 2022 Sony's are brand new and heavily marketed. Studio 3s have been shelved for several years and still out sealing Apple Airpods Max. I recommend picking up an extra pair of Studio 3s for $150 before they are gone. Apple will destroy a good headphone because it was designed by Dr. Dre, instead of build upon it. (my opinion)
Great video guys, but I think you missed one important thing: Connectivity, nothing beats the iCloud-ecosystem, I have the Beats studio 3, been using them daily for four years now and to switch between devices is supereasy, and even better with Airpods. No other brand has that same easy, seemless connectivity between devices. The Sound of the Beats Studio 3 is great I think, but the ANC sucks on them. I wish I could afford the Airpods Max, I would buy them immediately to replace my Beats Studios.
I have owned the Sony, Beats Studio 3, and the Bose 35 II. In my humble opinion you can't beat Bose for overall sound and quality. I love the Beats for price and when I'm listening to the Old School Rap like Run DMC and Sir Mix A Lot, but for all around everyday music, movies, and phone calls it's the Bose. I own an I Mac, I-Pad, and I-Phone but I still love the Bose. The high's and Low's are amazing and using them on my Macbook Pro for gaming is just Amazing. Thank you for your review, I love hearing others and how they rate headphones. I have not tried the new Apple over the ear headphone's and mainly because of the price.

I personally prefer Beats Studio 3. I own the AirPod Max and have owned all of the high end headphones and beats will always be my favorite. I do listen to mainly hip hop so the bass is better the max are flat asf.

Once you guys said that the headphones wire doesn’t come in the AirPod Pro Max box that already made me not want those you mean to tell me these headphones are $500 and don’t even come with a simple accessory like that
One thing to consider is if you're not owning an iPhone, the beat studio 3s are actually much better than the Apple AirPod Max. Also you are discounting brands like Anker who have the sound core line which have high-res certification. Lastly for me I've tested all the headphones that you spoken of and I feel that the beat studio 3 actually had the best fit in terms of ear comfort because it goes around the ear not on the ear like the solo threes do

I got the Beats on Sale for $170 and at that price point they are absolutely undefeated
i gotta go with studio 3 beats overears wireless headphones, i have used these for 3 years in study and gym, i have accidental damage by sitting on them by accident, a small crack occured near the ear buds part but it still works fine and can perform normally. I only had to replace the ear muffs once in 3 years so its worth the money
I found out that the $35 cable adapter to the max doesn’t support Hi-Res lossless just only the basic lossless, for that you have to get like a special adapter to connect to your iPhone so you can get that Hi-Res lossless which is sucks!
Are you sure the ANC is better on Bose? Every other video I've seen the Max have been better with ANC

I own all these pairs of headphones. The beats studio 3s multiple pairs, AirPods Pro max, Bose qc45 and Bose 700 and I hate the pro max because of its size and inconvenience. I love the QC45’s because of the comfort and how they pair easily with my iPhone and iPad
We're just really surprised that Apple felt it was okay to ship it with the "case" that it comes with! It'd be better if it just didn't have anything at all at this point 🤣

Bring back the audio jack so I can use my studio-quality headphones on the go again.

Omg yes with the bump and the low tinge in the bass - that’s why I wanted to see if these were better !!! You guys hit everything right on the head !!! From my hair getting stuck in the metal to the sound quality and tightness in the headphones !!!! I’m following !!!!
If only they were an update like software update to make our beats 3 studio spatial audio lol would beat the air max headphones like crazy
Do the Bose or Sony headphones have spatial audio? Also, will they connect to, say, my Apple TV 4K? This is what is important to me. I do need sound quality, but I need to be able to connect these to my Apple TV 4K with no issues. And I would like if they have spatial audio because after hearing that I don't like going back to normal audio. I even use spatial audio when listening to music with my Airpods Pro.

I got a minute and twenty seconds into the video and already decided against apple. I’m sick of companies nickel and dimming consumers. Charging someone to charge their device seems criminal. I’m pissed at gaming consoles too for charging people for a second controller. Sh*t is getting ridiculous but people keep buying.
My beats 3 I got as a student when I got my MacBook broke after 2 years because when I fold them the cover for all the wiring would pop right off every time and it would get really annoying

I got both/I love my AirPods Max headphones but I walk my big mastiff dogs everyday and needed some headphones for my walks/my AirPods Max is for when I’m watching a movie but don’t wanna wake my husband lol they are wonderful power headphones but for the house/beats you can travel with them and walk with them also if you get stuck in the rain beats will survive AirPod max won’t lol

@@BobRossRightHand No my friend, I got them as soon as they got released, brand new. I was thrilled about them, I always wanted a Bose headphones since high school, when I tested it, what a disappointment!!!
1. The sound was so flat, for my taste.
2. They couldn't cancel out the ambient noise.
@@derisnel I also got them brand new as soon as I could, still have them today and they sound great, no squeak from the plastics, and excellent ANC. Haven’t really seen anything close to them on the market besides the Max and Sony XM4

The two products are made by the same company but they’re not competing in the same category. The AirPods Max are premium headphones with great build and sound quality. Beats Studio 3 (or Beats branded products in general) are a fashion accessory that plays music although the build and sound quality leaves much to be desired.
