    Your videos on installing the harness and hitch assembly were much informative and easy to follow than the instructions from Honda. Thanks for creating these videos.

    Appreciate the video - just got my harness and hitch installed after using your videos. For anyone watching, make sure to have a second set of hands for the hitch install if you're using vehicle ramps or jacks, was impossible to get the wiring harness / plug installed to the hitch with the vehicle off the ground.

    If you want to just use the 4 pin flat connector for a lot cheaper, you can slide the connector just under the 8 pin connector cutout. It fits and locks right in.

    Eddie, Thanks for this terrific video and narration. It made my installation bearable. Comment on the OEM part: hitch extension is a bit short as I like to place hitch locks on my stuff. E.g., my Yakima bike lock fits on the end of the bolt - tight clearance where the lock and safety chain loops occur. Honda could use another 2" length. Might see steel fabricator to extend...

    I had a tough time taking off those push pins on the upper bumper. I used a small flat head and was able to pop them up. Thanks for the video! Also I used jack stands to help hold the hitch.

      Preinstalled hitch at dealers would cost you a lot more than diy. Most people, buyers are not aware of ridiculous fees added to the tally sheet nicely squeezed somewhere in the middle of all numbers on the final paper signature.

    • @eddiesspeedgarage
      @eddiesspeedgarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gary Glenn I think I went to the college Honda website and they have the instructions in pdf form. Really straight forward though. Toughest part is having a second person hold the hitch while you install the bolts.

    Would full size 20" rim diameter tire fits with this oem trailer hitch? The after market trailer hitch has higher tongue weight, but it states it only fita up to 18" diameter tired. Would you recommend going for third party trailer hitch?

    • @eddiesspeedgarage
      @eddiesspeedgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      firstalex2 I think the problem your running into is the spare tire size. If you have 20” rims your spare would also be bigger. I personally would only buy the Honda hitch due to the fact that it comes with the replacement bumper panel and just looks way better than the hitch hanging under the bumper. And as a bonus the Honda hitch is probably engineered to fit with all size stock rims. Hope this helps!
