I am very excited for the G2 dinobots, especially if we are going to get a G2 Volcanicus. Star Convoy is an interesting pick, ideally, I'd want a massive box set of Star Convoy and some other micromaster bases.
I think Titan Class STAR CONVOY will be a Commander Class with steroids accessories. Kinda like how Leader Class is basically Voyagers with extra accessories. I think HASBRO’s dubbing their larger figures according to what’s included, not so much the height of the figure and the complexity of the transformation/parts count etc.
Hmm...for that Star Convoy, here's hoping they didn't take the wrong idea from Star Saber and Deathsaurus from the Haslabs, since they were Commander Class-ish in scale, but their prices were approaching Titan Class price points
@eventprogenitor1873 Smaller but more complexe. Jetfire is huge but he's not more complicated than a voyager or leader Magmatron is second shortest commander but he's very complexe.
No, the whole reason they’re doing SS Devastator the way the way they are is because combiners at Titan class do not work. Nexus will likely be 2027s commander class and his components will all be released that same year. As he needs Superion and Bruticus parts to be recolored for his whole combiner team.
If the star convoy comes with grandes and they just have it say star convoy to get the general audience interested because like you said who actually knows what grand this is besides a few hard-core fans
But we already have the Core Class Hot Rod for it. I reckon he's the perfect size for Star Optimus. It may be an odd choice for a Hot Rod of a class now discontinued, but it's the closest.
Me too! That would be amazing. Sadly since we're getting the MPG versions next year probably means that won't happen for like another 5 or so years. I just hope I'm wrong about thatt, and it comes sooner.
I guess a Titan is too big for Apex Prime, but I think a Commander would be just enough. Have the base PM Optimus as a Voyager figure, then make him a Leader size if we make him SPM.
Maybe the titan class prime is a 2 pack with Super Megatron. Kinda match what they said about haslab 2001 prime/ultra Magnus. About not wanting to take up 2 years for one set of commanders. Leaves about commander class budget for both figures.
I have the Star Convoy that they remolded from the POTP Optimus. While he is far from perfect, I still enjoy that iteration…plus he has the perfect counter balance in the form of his fellow Gen Selects Super Megatron. So I don’t know if I would be personally down to replace them, but that’s just a personal choice.
to celebrate the 40th, i would have Star Prime kind of be something like an evolution figure, like we have a small Orion pax that becomes and optimus prime, that becomes a Power Master Optimus Prime and Finally the final form, Star Convoy, similar to the POTP Optimus but more advance. i do like a small retool of the POTP optimus have the small cab be something like Optimus/Ginrai, then have the bigger armor be Super ginrai/PMOP and finally all that fit into a suit of armor aka star convoy
Star convoy is a odd choice indeed. We have older titan classes in need of trademark renewals. Such as Trypticon or Predaking. Or other characters like Broadside that should get a titan class treatment. Who wants to bet that Omega Prime was originally planned as a titan class, and their choice to move it to haslab had them scrambling to find another Optimus to fill the hole? God Gin-Rye would have been a fantastic choice if it wasn't for the MPG one dropping next year too. That wouldn't be a wise move. Having a updated Cybertron Primus as the titan makes the most sense in a line about Primes if you ask me. Sigh...maybe the next one in 2026 perhaps.
