- Well, the Samoans don't mess around! From the late 1800s, these teeth edged clubs are beautiful. So I had to make my own...

Gorgeous end product Onur. Probably the prettiest piece you've made (my opinion). Before you burnt it I thought it looked like a flamingo's head and neck. Silly me 😜
Another excellent build onur, I appreciate the detail that went into it. Once again greetings from Kilkenny.
Wow that Samoan War Club is very powerful weapon to bashing and breaking everything that's why this weapon has blunt force trauma effect too and it will cripple your Enemy's body too just like that
C'est toujours bien ce que tu fais mais si tu pouvez éviter de gaspiller fruits et légumes pour l'essai !!
Very cool. Now forge and engrave one out of steel
- "Can you identify your attacker?"
- "Deadpool mask, Hello Kitty backpack, Crocs and a Samoan war club"
Hahahahaha
I honestly see Deadpool using one of these.
As a samoan who follows your content I was so surprised to see you make this! Well done, the artwork pretty good as well. The Maori patu made out of jade is lethal, definitely worth making and having in your home.
Thanks very much im really glad you liked it and the Patu will be something i make soon
Alright ! 😁🤙
It would be cool watching someone who uses ancient Polynesian techniques to make one that would be cool but this is also cool as well
There are some that still do but it takes longer to make. So nowdays most of us use electric tools to speed things up.
So you're Saint I need one?
*SANTA!*
Oh my God, when I looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was made of metal, AND THIS is MADE OF WOOD!!! It's just GREAT! And the drawing on the weapon is perfectly executed by your love of your life (I hope you have a wonderful family) Thank you for the video, we are waiting for new ones!
Thanks man yeh all wood and strong as hell, i have an amazing family they make me very happy thank you
@DiesInEveryFilm Customs It's nice to read this👍
true add science you can make hardwood strong enough it can be measured as strong as a weak metal like copper/bronze
Samoa never surpassed the stone age until colonization... and that was just over a hundred years... let that sink in... Africa, Asia and most of Europe had achieved manned flight while Samoans were still resolving tribal disputes with basically sticks and stones.
I love the way you work the wood mate, beautiful results.
Thank you very much!
Much love thanks uce🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸
Thank you very much
These ethnographic weapons are becoming my fave builds. I love the artwork the misses adds to them, pretty as they may be. The things are still lethal. Smashing vid Onur, cheers mate 👍
Cheers mate, she did a really good job on this
Not exactly an ancient weapon considering the Samoans were still in the stone age a hundred years ago... they didn't even use bows and arrows, instead relying on crude wooden and stone weapons before colonization in the early 20th century...
Well done again mate! Love the colab with the miss✌🏼
Thank you Timo, hopefully get her in on more as well
dude, thats amazing! you have talent my friend.
Thank you so much I appreciate it
Love the build bro. And the smashing at the end amazing. Plus that big old melon.... Nice piece LoL
Thank you, absolutely destroyed everything in its path
Hey man keep making the great videos I really enjoy them
Sure will, new video up every Saturday
I made a Patu a few years back, now I need to make one of these! Killer build! Thanks for the inspiration!
Good stuff mate, thanks for watching
please make the patu and taiaha!
Seconded 😁
I will eventually
Wow. No Maui/ Moana quips in this entire comment section. Didn’t expect that.
Haha nah
Cool . I carry my mare every day for protection. Only part I didn't keep traditional was I used Paracord not dog skin. Check out the dead lands for great movie.
Thanks mate, ill take a look at that
Now that's a nice shillelagh. I really like the artwork on it.
Thank you, the wife did a great job
Love that look while forever sanding I feel you brother
Haha horrible sanding. Thank you
Great video and weapon people some people think wood can't cut like that but it definitely can and do just the amount of damage as metal
Thank you, really was an effective weapon
@@DiesInEveryFilm yes it definitely was effective, a lot of people don't understand how effective the weapons of the past really are if used properly
The Rock would love one 😎😍😉 amazing job making it 🥳😎
Haha im sure, thanks
Well I was wrong but I feel like I won anyway 😃. Yeah sanding is the best, I sure do love me some sanding 😮💨. Sometimes when I get bored or it's six months of winter I like to brighten my days up with some sanding ...🤣😂.
I liked how it turned out, the burn gave it a good color I feel.
Hahahahaha, yeh a load of fun
Holy crap, its like a wooden axe. I'm amazed how easily it goes through those targets.
Thank you, more effective than I thought myself
Nah that's the Tewhatewha
Good one sir, thank you.
Thanks dude
Looks great.
What wood did you use?
Would you stabilize the wood next time?
Would you use a bench router for the edge angles?
Love your stuff, keep working 👍
What kind of spray did he use at 5:37 and why??
I used oak.
No the wood is strong enough as it is, stabilsing is more for knives due to water intake.
The angles were too steep for my router or i would have used it.
It was laquer to seal the art
Cabinet worker here. Looks to be specifically plain slice white oak. You can get 3 different cuts of wood, based on the relation of the growth rings to the cut when you make your board. Quarter sawn and rift cuts are generally more stable than plain slice, but the visible grain patterns and flecking are markedly different in oak. You can also get red oak, and I believe brown oak, fairly commonly.
The plastic stock in the middle will help a small amount with wood movements, because it's got additional layers it'll need to bend. If you book match the blanks, you can further reduce movement by setting internal tension opposite to itself.
that is a awesome weapon,
imagine a giant Samoan battling with that!!
Fuckn unreal
I wouldn’t like to be on the other side
I wouldn't mind... considering the rest of the world had automatic weapons while clubs and spears were still the only weaponry the samoans had evolved to before colonization in the early 20th century...
You nailed it. Beautiful build and very authentic. One of the things I really enjoy about your builds is your dedication to details. This makes your artistic talent shine. Enjoy watching a new build on Saturday morning. Thank you for all the work you put into this and every other video. Filing, sanding, colors and especially the editing. Yes, you were spot on with pronouncing the killer weapon. Had to look at the history of those things. Enjoy this weekend. As always, Cheers mate 🍻
Thanks mate it really means a lot that you notice everything, it takes me a long time and obviously i have to squish it all into a tiny video so to have things be noticed really makes me happy
Very nice mate, really cool 👍
Thank you Brad
You continue to make amazing pieces and I and many others will always come back to watch your content. Keep it up.
Thanks I really appreciate it
Now that thing is quite a weapon. I'm thinking that would be truly evil with metal running between the wood pieces. Beautiful work as always my friend 👍
Thanks mate, yeh it certainly would be and a possible for future videos i think
Beautiful work.
Thanks very much
Awesome piece of work
Thank you
Wow, master piece!
Awesome piece of brutal art.
Thank you
Thank you
Thanks
Love your vids man
Thank you very much
Another HIT, as it were. Pun intended. looks good. Stay safe . Dont forget to play with the little one .
Oh yeh definitely, thank you very much
Very nice! Interesting shape.
I'm telling ya man. Put an engraving pen in her hand on some of the forged stuff you do and let her just run with it.
Cheers mate, we are planning on something
Nice! 😏
Also seems quite effective😮
Thank you, yeh it really was
Basically, a wooden ax. / bec de corbin. Nicely done. Lengthen the handle and it would make a nice walking stick.
Thanks for watching
Tes vraiment un bon mec 😎et quelle super matériel que tu as super comme d'habitude 👍c'est quelle bois que tu as pris ? Il faut un bois très dure ? Et cette feuille verte c'est du plastique ? Du Téflon ? Merci mec.
Thank you very much, i used oak and it was g10
Love the your channel, and the excellent craftmanship. Do you sell any of the stuff you make. Thanks you.
Thanks very much, yes i sell everything on my website linked in description
Absolutely awesome,, keep it up!
Thanks very much
Oh man, this thing is sick!
Thanks very much
Good job friend well done
Thank you
Onur,
That looks interesting. Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.
Cheers man i do appreciate it
Another banger of a video bruv
Awesome build by you and the missus
Saludos Cordiales
Thanks so much for watching mate
Liking this , who drew on the designs . Your talent and hers compliment each other’s work
His wife, who is a tattoo artist.
I know, she does fantastic work, I was just trying to get him to say it
Thanks Brian yeh she does all the design on art I wouldn’t be any good but glad to have her help
5:29 nice shot!)
Thanks
Very nice brudda you know I have a recent project so I bet that you can do better and short I had some spare diamond plate lying around in my shop so I got bored and whipped out the torch and I made a pair of iron knuckle dusters let's see your take on it eh? should you be interested and willing
Ive made a few knuckle dusters on here already mate
Love your work mate. Thank you
Thanks mate
5:28 best shot in the whole video
Thank you
Beautiful
Thank you
What is the tool your use to mark the middle of the board?
Wood marking scribe
Excellent
Thank you
Now that's a nice club
Thanks very much
And I thought you where ex army, now I know your ex RAF Reg......... crocks with socks 🤣🤣😂😂 quality build mate, i'm surprised how effective it cut the veg. As always cheers for the entertainment bud
Haha I think some people missed the deadpool link on those
I had no idea Samoans were basically still in the stone age as late as the early 19th century! Only 3 thousand years behind most of the world...
I guess they didn’t see the need to advance but also it’s a small island so less outside influences.
Need me some workshop crocs like
Hahahahaha
Holy hell, a steel headed version of this club would be absolutely devastating
Oh yeh it definitely would be crazy and maybe one in the future
Gotta rock the crocs 👊
Hahahahaha
awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another amazing build! Keep up the great work! 🤘🏻
Thanks very much mate
Nice, was that a piece of G-10 in the middle?
Thanks mate, yeh it sure was
Damn looked cool in thumbnail
Thanks
I don't know what that is but it is awesome!
Haha well that’s good
Great build! I'm just curious as to why you cut the board in half and then glued it back together? Does this provide support or flexibility to the wood?
Thanks, i added the g10 sheet to the core for a strong sharp core
What was the green piece made of? A G10 or something?
G10 yeh
@@DiesInEveryFilm looks cool in there!!!
What kind of spray did you use at 5:37 and why??
Laquer to seal the colour onto the wood
@@DiesInEveryFilm Okay, thank you
I didn't think it would be as devastating as it is.
Nor was i mate it was crazy
That takes blunt force trauma to a whole new level of awesome!!! Your wife does some amazing artwork!!
Oh it really does, way more effective than I imagined
@@DiesInEveryFilm The worst I saw in my years on the ambulance was a baseball bat, and this went way past what that could do...
@@TheOriginalCoolDad crazy power in wood and some people think it’s weak
All that was missing, is you making birds of prey noises as you smash stuff. Cool build
Hahahahaha
What is the green sheet made of?
G10
Very nice! Always thought war clubs were underrated. I like the idea of the patu as well. I have a hefty chunk of mild steel sitting around that I've been wondering what to do with. A stout little club sounds like a fine idea.
Thanks very much, new video up Saturday.
Yeh really effective and I plan to make a steel version of a club soon myself
Stop trying to convince me to get Crocs, it's working!
Do ittttt
By the way do you think you could fabricate a chakra that would be badass
It’s not something i have on my list currently
Which are its dimensions? I want to make one but i don't know the depth
That is a simple and brutal weapon. I can picture Roman reigns or Jason mamoa using that. I want one! That would be very tough to make it with only hand tools 😫😮💨
Oh yeh for sure thanks, it’s actually available on my website
0:24
Pov: your son got ready for school on a break day
Ok
They look crazy! Maori ones as well!
Thanks mate, fun to play with
Nicely done.
Are you still going to make the Maori weapon?
Thank you and yes
You should someday make your version of the man catcher thing
I don’t know what that is
I love seeing you handling your thick wood.
Hehehe, great job fella. Still the best eye lids on TH-cam.
Cheers mate, gots to keep it hard for whacking
That's pretty cool looking tool !! Awesome drawing and nice done !! Nice Job !!!
Definitely a skull cracker!!😂🤣👍. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🪓🔪👍👍
Cheers mate, split that coconut nicely
Coool !!
Thank you
beautiful war club
Thank you
I wanna buy one!
Sorry this is sold now but i have lots of other things available on my website
how the tool at 0:27 is called where can i buy 1 ?
thanks in advance :)
I see lots of tools can you explain?
@@DiesInEveryFilm the one you use to mark the middle of the wood
@@TmouniTidio it’s a centre scribe
Oh my god its so beautiful and deadly im just like gaaaullllllll....🤤
Here where did all that water come from? ._.
Haha thanks dude
@@DiesInEveryFilm you are so welcome my man! I gotta build me one of these GORGEOUS weapons
Don't think I forgot about the Scissors
Haha never
can you make one using composite fr4?
Epoxy glass? I used g10 in the core which is a variety ofvthat
Nice ✌ 😎
Thank you
Can u do Māori and Hawaiian and Micronesian war Clubs
I have stuff in the works
1:51 RUN LITTLE SPIDER RUN!!!
The first thing I thought of when I seen this was "what can I say except your ded now"
Hahahahaha
Have you broken any of your weapons when trying them out?
Only one, the Kanabo, i show me breaking it
@@DiesInEveryFilm probably not much too it for a video but how about French/ throwing arrows?
@@Happy_Gilmour_84 my list of things to make is so big mate but i have some throwing arrows on it
@@DiesInEveryFilm hahaha, can't wait to see what else you make to smash up fruit and bottles with. Love the vids 👍🏻
That was an interesting build , the finishing touches with the sandpaper are the worse I have done it before really enjoyed the video 👍
Thanks mate, takes so long hahaha
Beautiful work bro! Only thing is that is not a nifo oti. Nifo means tooth, there are no teeth on this one! Regardless, it's a great piece
Thanks, the point and pictures are the teeth on it, it’s a replica of one
Love it ! This build was epic, just like the Macuahuitl you crafted. My favorites are the WWI weapons & the pre-technology Native weapons!! This one turned out especially great in my opinion.
Thanks man, I really enjoy the historical builds it really is fun doing the research and learning about it
you're the best
Thank you
Another great video. Your bandsaw cuts wood like old people fuck ! 👍👍👍👍
Thank you, I can’t say I’ve watched that but ill take your word for it
Fantastic!!! Beautiful collaboration!! Hope you do more in the future.
Thank you and yeh we have other ideas planned for the future
