    Excellent comparison. Gives a good idea on how to select one of these for the instrument at hand and the sound you are going for. Thanks a lot!

    What I'm basically hearing is, use parallel compression when you don't have an anniversary edition 🤔

      On drums, I think it's a great idea! Otherwise you could just be killing all your transients... Or go with a VCA or Opto style comp with a slower attack!

    I like the Rev A because it sounds powerful and like it will cut through the mix perfectly

    What chair do you have, bro?

    • @RadiumRecordsHollywood
      @RadiumRecordsHollywood  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dude... It's insane and I love it so much. It's from Relax The Back, I forget the name of it but it was $3,800 and worth every penny. I've never said that about anything I spent that kind of money on.

      @@RadiumRecordsHollywood Damn, bro. I don't think dropping $4K on a chair is a possibility for me 😬😬😬
      I really like the vibe of your studio, the soft yellow lighting, the background, your shirt and hair, it really gives me 70s vibes, even the chairs' looks and colour. Anyways, bro, thank you for your reply!

    The Anniversary is cool and tight, but it depends on what sound you are looking for.

    • @RadiumRecordsHollywood
      @RadiumRecordsHollywood  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, I'd say it's not as tight as the others... The only real difference is the attack time and 2:1, you could easily get the same tone from it as you get from the others just by simply messing with it.

    the HR Knob stands for Headroom Knob, it determines how much signal goes into the plugin internally, it has nothing to do with high frequencies😂 try to investigate before showing this info on your channel, a lot of people are confused nowadays with so many tutorials on youtube, cheers!

      Unfortunately, it seems like you might be confused by what “head room” is in the case of an 1176… You also might be confused as to what “non-linear” is when it comes to the HR knob. You are correct in that I did not go into an in-depth explanation as to “why” the high-end frequency change when your turn the HR knob up or down, but that’s a full college class that is just not suitable for a TH-cam video. I like that you read part of the Manual on the 1176, but I don’t like that you didn’t just “use your ears” when I directly A/B’d the HR knob and it’s clear that it changes the high end pretty dramatically… The big question I have though, why didn’t you just ask, “why does the HR (headroom) knob change the high frequencies (and the other frequencies at that) when turned up or down?!” Then I would’ve politely explained, “because At higher dB values (clockwise rotation), signals will push the plug-in into gain reduction (and more non-linearity and harmonic distortion color) more easily. And at a lower value (counter-clockwise rotation) you will get less gain reduction and more transparent or “linear” gain”.

      Bro, Bradley delivers priceless info that is not found everywhere. Maybe you should investigate how long Bradley had been doing this before assuming he doesn't know what he's talking about. So many tutorials online but not so many teachers who have the experiences, records and credits to back up what they say. I trust Bradley before some of these other guys on TH-camr 😊

      I'm here to help, not to get likes and views... My purpose with this channel is to try and explain things that may be really complex in mixing and mastering, in a really straight-forward and easy to understand way. "Headroom" in itself is a very deep topic and encompasses sooooo much more than just volume/ input/ output or gain.@@santiagobejarano5162
