I am in my 70's. I don't think the competition sears would work for me. I chose the GT2 seats.

The GT3 seats are kinda ugly imo
I like the look of the GT2 seats but my GT1 seats are super comfortable!
They aren't bad but compared to the others I found them the least comfortable.
I found the Competition seats the least comfortable.
I'm 6'11, 498 lbs and my competition seats are comfortable AF.

Well done video explaining the difference. One reason I went with the GT2 over the Comp seats was with the Tension/Twilight Blue interior on the 2020-2023 cars the headrests on the GT2 seats are light blue (Tension Blue) on the Comp seats they are dark blue (Twilight Blue) the light blue headrests really pops from the outside of the car, especially with a HTC. The blue interior headrests are the first thing folks notice with the car. One side note on the 2024 ERay visualizer both seats have dark blue headrests. I don't know if that's a change or a oversight.

I ordered that interior in my 3lz Z06 htc and just seen where a new section on the door panels is tension blue instead of twilight. That will be different
I wish you would’ve done a comparison on getting in an out of the seats with the higher bolstering on the competition versus the GT two seat.
I didn’t notice a big difference between getting in and out regardless of seat.
Heres a question. If you had one choice to get one of these cars. 1970 chevelle ss 454 matching all options. Completly restored to factory fresh. Or the z06 . Which one would you get and why?

I have GT1 seats in my LT1 HTC Z51. I find them very comfortable. Am extremely pleased with my car.

Great video! I liked the comp seats in my C7 when I had it. The C7 bottoms of both GT and comp seats are the same. Just the backs are different. My C8 I opted for the GT2 seats. I liked the look, feel and price. Comp seats for me were a little harder to get in and out of. Bottom line is everybody’s backside is different and you should get what feels/ works best for you. (Like every other option😂) 👍😎

Justin , I’ve been reading where efuel , synthetic gas is being made by a grant from Porsche to prolong the ICE. So hopefully they won’t disappear anytime soon. They reduce CO2 emissions by 85%. Supposedly. Cause I’d like to get a C8 stingray.

Getting in and out often I found the bolsters in the way. In my C7 I wore the color off.
I've only sat in gt2 seats and I fit. I'm 6'6" 270 and I wouldn't think looking at comp seats they would work for me but I havent tried either.
I would try if I were you.
I have GT2 and no complaints so far.
Can't go wrong with either of the 2!

This was super helpful! My dealer really thinks the comp seats would be an uncomfortable mistake for touring if not tracking much on z06. But I love the look and love the bolster in my frs and I'm 220 and 5' 10" so between you and Shane loving them I think I'm joining the comp club!

I went to design an eray and look at the competition seats but they don't offer the 2-tone options like the gt2 seats. so gt2 for me
I choose the competition seats for the same reason Shawn said I didn’t like the white seat on the 70th ,this is what I purchased. I’m 5’10” and 200 lbs I have TPW of 2/6/23 I hope I made the right choice. I’ve heard more negative than positive
I don't see at all why there'd be any negative. The comp seats are awesome.

You won't regret your choice! At the NCM Bash last April, they had the both 70th A. E. cars present.
That's when I learned the difference between the color changes, GT2 vs Comp.
I'm almost certain the engineers explained the Comp seats base padding is the same, with a slight difference in back and bolster changes!
The Comps are my favorite seats!

Great video as usual. Seats are a very subjective issue due to body size. It would be interesting to see actual measurements on each of the seats to compare if there are any measurable differences. For example: seat width between the side and back bolsters; bolster height; seat depth; and depth of a line from on top of the bolsters to the lowest point on the seat bottoms.
I don't see any visible differences in size or width of any of the seats. The only difference is bolster aggressiveness.

Do the GT2 and the Comp seats both have similar back lumbar adjustments? Is one better than the other? I had thought that the Comp lower bolsters might make for more difficulty on the ingress of having to scoot over it. Look at a lot of used sports cars with aggressive lower bolsters and they get real beat up, damaged.

This was a very good serious dialogue Justin. Starting with C7 racing seats, if I could find a pair of the those, I'd buy them in a heartbeat for my GS. But I hear what you're saying about the C8 racing/competition seats. I would just want the E-ray, or ZO6, first and the seats would almost be academic. I'd sit on a milk crate if needed. 🤣 Save the Wave 🙋♂

FWIW, I'd want an E-Ray over a ZO6. I really like GM's incorporation of what effectively is the KERS setup from the F1 cars.
man I have this crazy project to turn the e-ray in something like the 911 dakar. Yes, improve ground clearance about 1.5-2 inches. Do you know any suspension shop to suggest? thanks
You can adjust the factory coil over suspension up or down to some degree but to get another 2 inches you'd definitely want something aftermarket. I haven't heard of any great replacements yet though.
All about comfort here? I may be wrong but as much as I remember the C8 is a sports car...🤗 However both guys are HUGE to say the least. May be this is why they like the comps so much. I have a normal average figure . I compared the comps with the seats of my 991.2 GT 3 RS and my 488 Spider (racing seats) which both fit me perfektly. The comps are definitely wider. Not much but unfortunately a little bit too wide for spirited driving on curvy roads. So I suggest you check them in person before you tick the box. Thanks for the video
Not all about comfort, the competition seats are better for performance, better looking, and more comfortable. They literally check all the boxes. I wouldn't say 5'8 and 200 pounds constitutes a "huge" person, though. Maybe you're just small?
I'm going comp seats based on your recommendation here. I'm really hoping I like them since there really aren't any to try even in 2024.

I really enjoyed this trip and being able to see all of the C8s with many different options in one location!
I'm almost certain, when I attended the NCM Bash last April, the engineers explained that the GT2 and Comp Seats were very similar in design. I believe the base of the seat padding was the same thickness. The Comp Seats received the V cutouts and upgraded bolster. Also, the back of the seats received added bolstering too!
I say, if you're on the fence about GT2 vs Comp Seats, don't be! Instead build your spec and change the seats to see what you like the best! You'll find more of a difference in color option choices too!

Sorry 220 lb about 6 ft tall I've sat in two, including one that I was just dying to buy. However the bolsters were too narrow regardless of setting.

At 7:14 , the competition seat looks significantly taller for the headrest. I'm 6'5" so I'm curious as to if this would help accommodate my height better.
It's just the way the picture was taken. They are all the same height.

I am 5'8" and went with GT2 only because I thought it might be more difficult to get in and out with the comp seats. I do actually like the look of the comp seats best.
They really aren’t any harder to get out of.
I'm 5'8" too and i agree they do look better, my spec. is GT2 but I really want the comp seats now. $$$
@HorsePower Obsessed The comp seats really look the best with 2 tone interior. Matt Hurley's for example. If I were to order again I would choose comp seats. Only $500.

GM ... Why even offer a GT1 cheap seat ?
At time 3:15 he talks about the center part of the GT2 seat vs comp seat .
You'll need to select 3LT in order to add / remove this color to the seat. How dumb of GM not to offer this with the 2 LT.
