I feel a part of why Gohan is so popular is because of what he represents. We seen him grow from being a scared little child. Think about it, Gohan's 'eyes' were the audiences' if they were thrown in front of world destroying aliens. Especially when DBZ was on TV during the late 90s and 00s, a lot of us were kids with our own fears being thrown in front of the challenges of this world. Gohan's reluctance, and fear turns into anger, and from anger comes resistance and restraint, and when it can't be held any longer, it is explosion. He's the dream of anyone challenging their fears, and becoming the embodiment of their bravery. No matter what despair erodes the environment, hope and dreams are realized from courage and bravery. Gohan isn't a fighter out of joy, but he's a fighter out of absolute necessity. In a sense, we didn't need Gohan to be a main character, rather his moments will always resonate within the human experience. He's a reminder to fight for your dreams, to confront your challenges bravely even with all the reluctance, anxiety, and fear you experience, even if you feel you aren't prepared to confront it. Goku represents bettering who you were yesterday. Gohan represents the power of bravery. Vegeta represents hard work and believing in your own strength. Maybe these characters weren't intentionally written this way, but the music score coupled with the animation, and the story, and how we project our own human experience on these characters is what I feel makes people so attached to these characters.
Now you see why DBZ fans are so crazy for these characters all the time. They represent something that can be found in ones self. Something everyone should see in themselves.

People call Goku a bad father but miss the part where Goku believed in his Son even though literally no one else did. If that ain't a good father, i don't know what is.
He's not a bad father by any means, he clearly loves his son a great deal (look at how quickly he rushed off to rescue him from Raditz for instance!). He's a bit too naive and makes some mistakes as a father, sure, but considering the fact that after Grandpa Gohan's death, Goku was living alone in the mountain for a long time until he finally meets Bulma, it makes sense as he wouldn't really have had much to emulate as far as parenting went as someone with a more normal upbringing would.

Even though Goku knew he couldn't beat Cell, Goku was going to try in order to spare Gohan that pain (before the Cell snatched the senzu beans and spawned the Cell Jrs). The song is called Gohan's Anger for a reason. It's not a heroic moment like Goku going super saiyan on Namek. It's a tragic one. Gohan had to become something he didn't want to become in order to save everyone.

When we saw Gohan go alI Super Saiyan 2, kill Cell and Faulconer's track played for the first time, my whole body got chills. Faulconers score is amazing in my eyes....every dragonball score is amazing. I just like the character scores from faulconer and the main themes of the show from japan..

Out of the 100s of Gohan Anger covers.... this is by far the best one. The raw emotion and imagery i get from this is 2x that of the original. Ill literally tell myself i want to listen to a certain song and as im scrolling to look for it in my playlist i occasionally see this on my way down and stop to listen to it again. I have come across different versions of Gohan's anger theme, from the original version, to other versions featuring piano/ orchestral instruments and so on....but hey, I never came across anything as close to this one. I use these themes to do some intensive workouts, and safe to say that this is just what i needed to tap to a whole different level of my limits. Thank you for the work well done
@@pengu-9412 Well Universe 6 saiyans are completely different from Universe 7 saiyans. Different evolution all that. It being easy for them to achieve Super Saiyan isn't the problem. Its the freaking tingly back thing. I wish DBS had come up with a different way to portray how easy it was for U6 saiyans to become super saiyans then tingly back.

Its too bad this wasn’t used when Gohan saw Piccolo getting f’d up by Cell Max to go Beast. They should’ve showed Gohan’s hair growing, then his front bang to look like his old hair as a teen. Then could’ve had the camera angles pan fast around him, then slow motion to show case his new form while the aura is projecting out with the majenta lightning and SFX in his original intense standing pose. Then last camera angle goes in and zooms in on his face for the red eyes, then back as he tilts his dead down as he is serious about avenging Piccolo. I do feel it could’ve been showcased better and developed better. It came too much as a surprise
