Life experience also changes how you sing because the lyrics hit differently at 42 than they did at 25. When you’ve been through some things your vocal interpretation changes.

Yea there's a perfect video illustration of this on TH-cam it's actually of Celine dion the same week her brother and her husband of most of her life both died of cancer and she's now singing all by myself I never been a fan of hers id say in my immaturity I was even a hater (just so damn sick of that Titanic song😒) but I lost my composure with her and came away with a new respect.

Something else to be noted is that she is being very smart and intentional with her singing here. And honestly this whole era. You can tell she’s got so much more to give, but those choices she’s making is why she’s almost 30 years in the game still touring and sounding like this LIVE. She’s a master class is intentionality, preservation, and knowing what to do with the voice you have.

Yes. This tour is so well designed. She pulled back on her dancing a bit but still gave big multi sensory production. She gave us that ballad opening to really sink into the vocals. She’s taking good care of herself so she can go the mile and never compromising the entertainment value of the show. The stamina the work ethic it’s really mindblowing. And I feel like her relaxation and connecting with the audience and having those silly fun moments was the best this tour it’s ever been. It felt like hit the balance between her perfectionism and being able to tap into the energy of the audience and the moment.

But over the years, we have heard her improve and advance vocally. Even though many don't want to give her her props.

There is no aetist around at this time particularly these New Age artists. That can sing Live the way Beyonce does. Her voice permeated around Tottenham stadium. No auto tune no gimmicks just raw vocal talent. Shes in a league of her own no one can toich her. The Nay sayers, haters have hated on her forr day one. Who cares about them.

Now for her to pull this feat off almost every night without staining her vocals is incredible. If i could sing her runs and skills would be my masterclass in fluidity. She is in a class all to herself like others I put her in the MJ class for being the consummate performer and ALWAYS knowing where that camera is while dancing, singing, as well managing her craft. Probably too “perfected” to me maybe thats why its not moving. Celine Dion has a rasp to her voice when she hits her high notes and some singers evoke more passion in either or both soft and loud voices. To me Beyonces voice is carried by the beat. When she does her growls and runs im kind of like “girl…just stop. This aint it.” But when she lets the music or the background singers do their thing and theres less adlibbing from her part it sounds so much better. I see thats what shes evolved into as well. Beyoncé always had that Opera, Arabian, semi soul technique that’s her own. Attending her first two concerts, I would get annoyed at how long she would stay on a slow song with that opera (scale runs) but, this concert was different. I didn’t even like her rendition of Frankie Beverly but, again she changed up. She took all the issues of those songs, and provided a mature, intentional new arrangement that focused on her control of the song vs letting the song over power her. Also, I’ve always said that she is the only musical Artist that sing with her eyes open which is her best asset so, she decided to use them even more during this concert along with more facial expressions. She practiced more facial expressions over the years and took us on an emotional rollercoaster of joy, pain, love, thrill, sexy, excitement etc using smiles, winks, stares, monster faces, etc . I wouldn’t be surprised if she is preparing to act again. This concert will go down on history and the only thing next is to get Kelly, Michelle, Latavia and LaToya tight so we can pay another $500 for that concert hahaha😂😢😮😊

So... what type of voice is she? I'm guessing she dropped to a mezzo soprano about 10 years ago; however, she hits those low notes like a tenor. Unbelievable range. Sure, back in the day, Mariah did her stunt singing with the whistle voice, which would technically give her a four or five-octave range. But Beyonce has an unbelievably broad USABLE range, whereas, Mariah would screech to hit some of her higher notes. I am always floored by the vocal range in songs like "Halo," but at the same time, I love the fact that Beyonce doesn't feel the need to show off her voice every time; she is always a vocalist that serves the song, rather than the other way around. So for every "Halo" there are also songs like "711" that use a very small portion of her range.

She was also doing mic play throughout. Adjusting her distance from the mic and pulling the away from the mic gradually etc.

Yes Beyonce sings with a smile. I always think of her when I sing because I think that's a great star quality and great for if someone is filming or taking photos.

I dont follow Bey, however I do have lot of respect for how much she pours out to her fans, her professionalism and her reach for perfection. You, sir were a joy to listen to as you described her performance which helped me to better understand her chops and vocal acuity.

I guess people hate her because she’s so perfect that she’s not relatable. People don’t understand perfect, they only like what/who they can relate to.
Otherwise, I will never understand why people don’t like her.
I can understand you don’t like her style but not appreciating her God given talent is proof that you need to replace your ears and brain mfs.

Bey has “matured” and her vocals have become more awesome. He was good at singing and critiquing her vocals. Thank you for amazing review if even the best word to describe your amazing honest review
