    I was given a Pakistan Knife back in the 80s, it was built like a tank and good quality materials all the way around, even the sheath was nice extra thick leather. The Parallel Pliers are nice.........My favorite is the Handle Threader, I'd love to find one like that for 2-3 dollars......Great Finds!

      Welcome back it’s good to see you in the comments. You guys are making me feel optimistic about that pocket knife. I will probably try to clean that up and see if I can’t make it nice. I am curious how well that threader will work and I’m looking to try it out. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

    Awesome flea market. That tool is also a general-purpose wood screw die, and usually, they come with a companion tap for boring in wood

    • @toolscouter
      @toolscouter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Max. I may just try to use that threader. I’ll have to keep a look out for the tap. I just thought it was for broomsticks. Thanks for sharing and come back again soon.

    Magdad did a restoration on a set of players like that ... very cool. And back in the day Pakistan made some decent knives... buck knockoffs and some others ... I saw brass in that Barlow I think? Maybe a decent one. Some of the old Pakistan knives were fetching good money a while back...

    • @toolscouter

      That news about the pocket knife is encouraging. I’ll do some more research on it and if you find out anything more, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for sharing.

      Welcome Jack. Glad to have you stop by and I’m thankful that you enjoyed the video. This strawtown is just a little bit north of Indianapolis on 37. It is also known as the Hamilton County auto auction. The flea market is open every Thursday morning. I’m hoping to be there on the 12th of October weather permitting. Others that might be closer to you I’m not too sure of. You’ll have to do a Google search and I wish you happy hunting. Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day.

    I think the pliers are more likely for use on sewing machine belt joiners. For closing up the clip, etc.

    Regarding the Montgomery Ward Wrench - Years ago I used a MW branded Ride On Mower which came with a similar (but not identical) specialty wrench. It was for adjusting blade and wheel height etc.

      HA!! This is why LOOOOOOOOOVE 'DA TUBE'! Thanks to FRED, we all know what that MW wrench is for!!!!! With out that little nugget of info, I would have been thinking about that wrench ALL DAY!!!

    • @toolscouter
      @toolscouter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was wondering if it wasn’t something that came with some implement or attachment. I appreciate you giving some insight on this. I hope somebody can verify it and give me some clarity on where it has come from. Thanks again and have a great day.

    Like that parallel Utica pliers, very handy. That Pakistan Barlow might be worth cleaning up, you could use it for tough work and not worry about ruining it.

    • @toolscouter
      @toolscouter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Larry. Another viewer said that Pakistan used to put out some decent knives. I’m going to look into it further and see if it might be worth fixing up. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing. Have a great day.

I have several planes that I plan to work on but I have not done too many videos on them yet. They’ll be coming in the future, I hope you’ll enjoy the videos that are here already. what wrong with pakistan made knife brother?

    • @toolscouter
      @toolscouter  ปีที่แล้ว

      If they are made well, nothing. But the last knife I bought said Pakistan on it and it was one of the worst fit and finish I have ever seen. I had to send it back, and when they sent me a replacement, it wasn’t a whole lot better. So forgive me if I’m a little skeptical sometimes. I have to admit that I’m rather impressed with this little pocket knife. I do want to thank you for stopping by and visiting the channel. Have a great day.
