I visited Mashobra last year during my trip to Shimla and Panchkula. I was travelling 7 months post my cancer surgery. The physical strength was down due to huge weight loss. but the strength of my mind helped me. I travel solo so there was nobody to fall back on and I was far away from my home, Pune. My extended family, friends and acquaintances were against me travelling alone. I wanted to travel because I knew that it was definitely going to help me recuperate. To keep them sweet I flew to and from Chandigarh removing long travel by road. I would like to say that this trip helped me a lot mentally.
At Mashobra, I visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan which was opened to the general public just a few days before my visit. This was where I got to see my first live tulip plant in bloom.
After this trip, I took 4 trips till mid-January. Satara, Dapoli, Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho-Kalinjar-Jabalpur and Indore-Ujjain- Maheshwar-Omkareshwar.
