  • in this episode I talk about the history behind the ss bolts in the motorcycle world... I explain the history of why they are not racist in the mc lifestyle. today's society is too weak when it comes to symbols, they have made everything a racist symbol. time for some real history in the mc culture.

Nice copium mate.... Fact of the matter is that you have clubs, especially THE CLUB, has a "white only" policy. I've met a few, I've known a few and it boils down to the same thing... Despite the excuses you care more about race than the club itself.
...And this is me observing from the outside because from what I've heard? Man... Lie down. Take the L. It is what it is and it's fine. You have the right to believe what you believe. Just don't make excuses for it.

Another point is one should never wear military bling they did not EARN! It's one thing for those returning WWII vets to wear the spoils they took from enemy killed in combat. It's another for those who did not serve or earn them to wear them for shock value. I'm a Vet too, and I saw a lot of American Legion riders who were not Vets, but the sons of Vets wearing their fathers or other relatives military decorations. They say they wear it in honor or tribute to that person. I say BULLSHIT! They wear it like a chip on their shoulder, trying to fit in with real Vets. To me, it's no different than buying a fake set of club colors on Ebay.

  • @trevorbrown4674
    @trevorbrown4674 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Good explanation but I think there may be a bit more to it than that. Yes, in WW2 there were a lot of so-called trophies taken from Nazi and german regular soldiers. And although we fought hard and did our duty, there were a great number of American soldiers that believed in some of the basic Nazi ideology as far as white superiority. Question... Do you know of any MC that uses the swastika or the Schutzstaffel symbol that has or allows non-white members (meaning black or Puerto Rican). If there are, I will gladly and fully concede the point.

The problem is cultural divides and so. US, did not experience the same levels of destruction and Trauma Europe did. Also the death camps etc. No American cities where raised to ground by men wearing those bolts.
And the symbols infamy is widely known and automatically known for that not your meanings. Add Neo Nazi etc problems... thry have very dark meaning for Europeens etc.
The meaning may make sense, to you, more just people need to be smart, if you traveled to Germanny you'd find your cut seized and destroyed.
Like anything. Check your facts before you travel etc
As you said, same words have diffrebt rules based on the area. Just gotta know what you can get away with and what's best left at home.

Greetings, I left you a msg on one of your posts about a 1%er by the name of Tacoma Twitch. You said something to the effect that you heard, thought, or know he's a police officer. I have a few hooks, you could sort of say, im connected in this world, with various individuals and organizations. I did some research and spoke to people in the know, on who is affiliated with the long arm of the law. I checked and double checked the info I received. It is clear to me that that individual IS NOT a member or is any way NOT affiliated with any local, state, or federal, including on the government level any law enforcement agencies. This person is not a cop. FYI.

Sorry, but you said: "that trophy was ALWAYS the Swastika off of the arm or the bolts patch". The swastika arm band was part of the SS dress uniform and so far as the Waffen SS goes they only made up about 5% of the German army. Yes, some American soldiers did take trophies/souvenirs but it wasn't an accurate way to keep body count. In that type of massive ground warfare you don't have time to stop and take trophies in the middle of an ongoing firefight and often it's difficult know who was killed by who. More often than not souvenirs were taken after a prolonged battle concluded.
Aside from that great video and I can see the main point.

From an outsider perspective. I completely get the old school dudes that started it. Wearing it as a trophy but in today why still incorporate it. If you weren't in the war and took a patch yourself. I ride and go to events and met some awesome people that wear it but always have talked to some people in clubs that are poc accept it but still it makes them feel a type of way. (Disregard the woke sjw youth about it) and coming from a kid that was in the punk hxc scene and the traditional skinhead rude boy scene. We've gotten into tons of scuffles with white power groups coming into the scene (had dudes in mcs along side us that wear it fighting as well that didn't want nazis in the scene well before i started riding or getting into the bike scene) just always been curious if they don't condone the behavior of people that wear it for its meaning but will wear it. I sat down and talked to old old white biker guys and asked them about all the Nazi shit on vests and bikes.. etc. He said in the 60's it was not about being a neo-nazi or hating blacks specifically. He said they wore it to intimidate and scare other white people. It was a symbol of rebellion, being an outsider, bikers back in the 60's had a bad reputation and in some cases discriminated by businesses and hotels. Now, I've also spoken to younger white 1% club guys and they would admit the club is ethno-centric and homogeneous (white only) but not anti-black. They'll also admit, yeah 'we do have some racist guys in the club', but our club is not racist. So Nazi symbols on white bikers will not always 100% signify a white supremist. It may just represent outlaw culture.

Furthermore, in 1939 the Baseball Hall of Fame was created but the first black or brown person inducted was in 1962. Do you think black guys learned how to play baseball in the 60’s? Roberto Clemente was inducted in 1972, what there wasn’t a Latin pitcher, shortstop, or home run hitter extraordinaire till the 70’s?
It is not possible to pick and choose the history that supports one’s ideology.
History is all history or it’s propaganda.
The slaves that taught the British in the American Revolution.
The escaped slaves called, “Royal Marines” who burned the White House, and where given Trinidad by the British who honored their agreement to set the slaves free.
The escaped slaves who fought heroically for the current US government during the Civil War.
The Harlem Hell Fighters of WWI
The Tuskegee Airmen who successfully never lost a bomber to German fighters in WWII.
The war fighters like my Dad who fought in the Korean War but had to deal with a Master Sargent who routinely played Russian Roulette with his head in the barracks. A PTSD he took to his grave.
My cousin the Green Beret, my Uncle the Army Commander who served in Vietnam.
All have very similar experiences of racism by the very people the gave liberty to with their lives.
History is all history or it’s propaganda.
OBTW, with respect here is some “factual history of our world today” all white MC’s observed Jim Crow during WWI, WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. That is why we still have black MC’s in 2023. Because those faithful red blooded men and women of honor were only accepted if they had a curtain skin complexion, the less melanin, the better.
Things are much different today but the historical record is important to keep whole.

Respect to your version of WWII. My version begins and ends with Jim Crow. A segregated US society, Segregated US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
General Patton famously chose the segregated mechanized battalion 761 to lead him into Germany. These same all black men were the first to liberate the Jews from consentration camps. One Jewish woman famously said, “I looked up and saw a black God. I know he was God because he picked me up and lifted me from hell.”
I don’t this is known by many here. I only learned of the 761 “Original Black Panthers” after the Medal of Honor was presented to one of the 761 living sister because President Clinton believed the forgotten and unrecognized heroism of Black serviceman in all wars is a travesty to there families, to you, and me.
One can not change the meaning of something arbitrarily, there most be consensus. All neoNazi groups in the US can be identified by symbols like SS. That is why I have a visceral core hatred when I see it. To me it’s like the “N” word for Jews.
When I’m not around, my son’s call each other N!gga and sing it in their music. They know I have looked down a double barrel shotgun, and other weapons brandished by white men using N!gg3r to address me. I raised my sons with the belief that you can’t change the meaning and intent of a word without consensus.
    I respectfully and vehemently disagree.

Hey D solid 100% on the bolts. But as far as the Swastika, with in a week after Patching out, I had a Swastika on my Cut. And It was on there to say “I don’t give a f-k” It also was a memorial to the old timer Brother, that set me on my path to earn my place in our world. He died, along with his ol Lady in a wreck while I was gone in the Navy, and his last version of his badass chopper was desert camo w/A black swastika on the tank. Most of us, including me, were racist as F-k I’ll tell the story of the “Joint Game”
We played while partying with the “HellsLovers or “Sons of Darkness”
It’s funny as f-k. But along with a few black shirts w/saying “White Power”
Or a silhouette of Hitler printed on them,I also was gifted a “Blood Drop”
Patch from the Knights of well you know the rest. It was a long time before I woke up, and quit wearing that kinda shit, well that as well as meeting my Stepdaughters black husband. And my 4 grandchildren especially. Man I love them kids.

Not every German soldier wore SS bolt. Those were reserved for the Gestapo. The elite force. They also wore the totenkauf on their head gear. Swastikas were worn by bikers and clubs in the 50s thru the 70s. When clubs opened chapters in Germany they pulled any Nazi insignias because they were illegal in Germany. Bikers now wear bolts and swastikas to get a rise out of citizens. I could be wrong about the current. I am in my 60s. I still ride and play in the MC world. You did a good job on the history.
