Another cracking vlog Kev, always enjoy your content and your attitude towards the job, the snow on the hill reminded me of a few years back when working in the workshop of a well known bus company, the manager came up to me and said got a few buses stuck out there on routes, so take a decker out with a few bits and get them unstuck, so me and my workmate went out rescuing the said vehicles 5 in number or 6 if you count the one I drove out twice in quick succession!, got back to depot about 2 1/2 hours later! The boss said I want to buy you something! Ooh breakfast or at least a coffee, well we did save him 5 recoveries! No a satnav so we don’t take so long! Ah appreciation!! (Not), Keep up the good work mate and keep safe! 🚚😀
Haha got you love bosses, cool story though. Last time I was out in the wagon in snow I got stuck for 24 hours 😂😂

How can anyone get stuck in 1-2 cm of slush??
We got 45 cm of snow here on christmas eve and that was still driveable, it only got 5 cm up on the doors of my car. The main problem when driving in that is that it blows ower the hood and windshreen.

I understand the chequered plate is way better for loading crashed stuff but do you get alot of slipping in the wet especially going up top

Snow Trucking with keV Tee, then it's off to collect a good variety of cars once more. What a pity that the Range Rover Sport ended up being scrapped instead of being repaired what a great 4x4 in my opinion.
apart from the general theme of your videos. It's quite obvious some car drivers need to show more consideration. parking both sides of a narrow road. the red car reversing obviously had no idea of the direction the were going. a bit random.

As a very young boy in 1968 I witnessed someone loading brand new hillman imp cars reversing at speed and managed to get the rear wheels on top of the stop bars.

Hi, thx for another great vid. How come there's a different license-plate in the passenger seat of the RR? Not missing one on the car. Is it some kind of vanity-plate or? Maybe it's obvious for the folks in UK, but not to me.
The plates on the car are personalised plates (which aren't now registered) the plates in the car are presumably the ones it came with when new.
Did you alter the gearbox mode when you were stuck on the hill

My new truck has diff locks. They are a Godsend. Last truck didn't but it had 8 drive wheels in the old Mack. Getting old and got a Scania with auto box. Still have the Mack and the old guy across the road is using it every couple of weeks. Not worth selling, even for parts.

Yes that's correct, it's just pushed into the plastic joins, it's a cheap cd slot phone mount but rather than pushing it into the a radio cd slot I just use the gaps in the dash 👍
You scrap cars way early than over here in the USA.
I drove two Scania ex Stobbart and they were both useless in the snow, yet you see them being tested by Scania on very snowy roads. Hey Kev i emailed Trent's about the Passat Estate and i called twice it looks like they crushed it and took no parts off, must admit was disappointed .😞😞😞😞
Yeah I'm sure I would of been fine with full winter tires like the scanias you see on snowy mountain roads in Scandinavian countries 😂 shame about the passat, afraid they don't hang around long due to space.

Trucks etc must have winter tyres fitted by law from November to spring . Sensible rule and should be same here
Big expense for 2 days a year though, it's the first time I've had snow issues for about 3 years and even then it cost me half an hour lol
Saw similar in Lake District 25 years ago when going on holiday and it decided to snow heavily as we got onto the M6. Past Barrow lorries had no chance and were just spinning up their wheels on the slopes, even a big fat Merc and other portly cars struggling. Me in my 850kg Vuaxhall astra, 2nd gear and bosh, up the hill like a rat up a drain pipe.

Because we don't have chains as snow is very rare over here it really wouldn't be worth the cost or effort as no sooner we fitted them they would have to be removed again.

Not the best way to start an early Friday with that snow about. Some of those write offs were in pretty bad shape with some nasty damage. Great video Kev and stay safe and take care.

Some people can't back up to parking spaces on supermarkets but you car haulers back those broken cars full throttle up hill on wet ramps with not much room for error! Takes some nerves and skill for sure

@@KevTee I don’t know about the South of England 🏴 but I remember when I was a Wee Boy we got snow ⛄️ every winter ❄️ without fail. Now we don’t hardly get any which suits me down to the ground as I do hate snow ❄️ but did love it when I was a kid but I hate it now Pal. Roll on Spring-Summer my favourite time of year Kevtee. 👍
