Professor I have a question .Maximum solubility of carbon in FCC iron is 2%but steel is produced below 1.4% carbon and cast iron is produced between 3-4.5% carbon. Why?

Authors define the eutectoid point of the FeC diagram with different% C (example: 0.77%, 0.86% and 0.83%). What is correct value?

There is 760 grams of ferrite and 1 kg of hyperutectic steel, isn't the weight percent of ferrite 76 instead of 0.76? @Scott Ramsay
1 kg equals 1000 grams. So 760 grams means 0.76 kg.
760g was ferrite's amount, how can u equate it to carbon's amount?
