Foreign companies are STILL buying up all the apartment complexes here. I don't know who in the right mind would buy a house RIGHT NOW, let alone in Oregon. There's more to the story, but I want to be very brief. Make your own judgement call.

@@LivingOnTheOregonCoast I don't know how to tell you the most important details anonymously. But I will name drop: Sazzadur Rahman (That's all I can say. I went on trial as one of the defendants at the courthouse in Newport Oregon of November of 2022, fighting on behalf of several evictions from other tenants, including myself, who used to live at an apartment complex in Taft right here in Lincoln City. Ultimately, I lost the case. I got booted, and was homeless for a year, but I now found a place. That horrible legal mess is behind me. That's also why I don't want to talk about it, at all, and also I can't fight evil corporations for free. Legal Aid Services in Newport blows. Have you ever heard of the TH-camr Nick Johnson? I reached out to him, twice, around the time this was going down, but he never e-mailed me back.)

Cost of living out weighs the average pay. Unless you traveling for work you are not making more than $25 n hr. There is no Fred Meyer or bigger stores. New apartments and trailers are available so that will help with rental costs. Having a Hospital in town is a plus no matter what people think.

Lincoln City is a beautiful part of the Oregon Coast. But 101 will jam up during tourist season and on sunny days. Siletz Bay's parking lot will fill up. But if you're living there, you can at least get there before everyone else😆 (Parking at Depoe Bay south of Lincoln City and Newport's waterfront also fills up, so this is not unique to LC.)

Thanks for the look at Lincoln City, we’re considering an area just east of there in Grand Ronde and would probably end up in Lincoln City whenever we wanted to spend some time at the coast.

its ironic that health care is terrible where the retirees are...you'd think it'd be the opposite

You'd think. Demographics don't seem to impact health care quality - at least around here.
