- The weather is awful. Everything outside is mushy. So we begin the Canyon's second "twinning" in earnest, as we fill the bins with the parts of Vol.32 (taking a smidge from the '23 ToF purchase) and Vol.33, the already named Voltron-- who is taking most of those unused parts.
There's also a Ploffering nestled in here, just a few bits and bobs, recent take-offs and a couple of what-nots. Get them off my bench. Please.

I did the same body swapped onto my redcat gen8. It completely changed the way the rig drove because the scout body was so heavy. I used shock keys to lower my COG and also did a little trick to flip the bumpers above the frame so my approach and departure angles improved over double what stock was. Thing is unstoppable.
Soften up the Baja Bosses. The Tusks will just get tore up doing cyclones.
That came out really nice. Dang that’s as fast as a first gen RC10 gold pan in 2sec gear. That’s High performance Trailing !

Nice, I changed my Axial Early Bronco body to that same Raptor body. A real performance upgrade, taking that heavy, out of scale body off. I want to see what colors you go with. Nice 👍🏾
it looks great with the tusks . i see trucks that look like that all the time if you're worried about realism. i just think it looks mean in that iteration. so i say tusks baby too 😮

Shoe goo da magnete to da body, love me sum shoe goo.
I have tried twice to shoe goo magnets to lexan bodies. Each time was a fresh tube of shoe goo, these trucks were built about 9 months apart from each other. And after being built they sat with body on for a few weeks before being able to take them crawling...plenty of time to cure. But after a tough day on the trail, the shoe goo will fail. Like it works fine the first 10 or 15 rollovers, but the magnets will pull out of the shoe goo. And you can't have shoe goo on the magnet surfaces that will contact each other...since it reduces the holding power a significant amount.
I think you can get the Baja Bosses to work. You don't need anymore tires on the shelf so no loss in trying. Can always return to the Fusk.
A lot of things to choose from. I think I prefer the Fusks a little bit more over the Baja Boss, the width something between the two sets that we have seen on the video (with the Treal wheels, of course), and about lowering the body I honestly cant decide (I think I would leave it as it is)

No, don't lower the body
1 weather, sun and record 80 degrees here. Not a canyon rig, as well as 2 spd so not a crawler only. leave body, build rear bumper, softer inserts in tires, maybe a tiny wider wheel hex if it stops the rubbing. Paint and send her home :)
The Fusks are great but I would try the other tyres with soft inserts on the original wheels to keep the look with maybe a wider hex or some of those wheel weights with the hex fitting that screws to the wheel. I think the body looks good height wise, similar to how it is in real life but I also dont like the big gap at the back, maybe lower it a few mm but not all 7 and add a slim rear bumper with good departure angle in case. Im on the fence with magnet mounts due to the body falling off easily but I like the clean look of a shell with no holes in it. 3d printing a mount that was lower could work to drop it down. On the sides for extra hold, Velcro? or your idea of magnets at the sides? I'm noot sure. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Great video, Catch you on the next one.
I would use Velcro at the front instead of magnets. A bumper at the rear would certainly look good. I very much doubt that the soft (pink) silicone inserts are too hard. I suspect the rubber compound of the tires is too stiff.

lower the body a bit -wider stance for sure - Treal wheels are the better lookers - maybe a softer insert on the Baja boss -but the fusks are looking very good - I do not know if I would mess with that -
I feel she sits fine where it's at. But since it's all content, you could do a before & after to see just how little 1/4" will change it.
I always aim to have front or back sitting on the shock towers and then level as best as possible the other end.
I feel that if you have to cut the hood to clear shock towers...just put a friggin' buggy body on and go full shafty.

Don't lower it. who lowers a raptor? it would be cool to have trx4 axles so you can have the diffs open for highgear. are you going to put any lights on it? fusks on the treal wheels would look great. Nice outtro too!
Yeah I would definitely say put the fake dusk on there I don't know about lowering the body won't you have to cut it if you do
Wondering if you have any thoughts on fitting one of those Benedict Harry Transmissions in a Ryft? Little bit more low end but keep the high second gear?
