For me. Mr.C is the voice of R.C. Another great review. Injora must, I say must sponsor the Canyon. I don't mean they do. I mean they should. Because I learn a lot of good stuff from mr.c and injora is ranking high on several things imo.

I still don't know if I'd buy one, as much as I like it. If it costs more than a 1080, that's a non-starter. It is the smoothest brushed ESC I've ever tried. But a Fusion SE is $70. So this lil' guy has a steep hill to climb.
This is exciting! But you're absolutely right it has to be equal cost or cheaper than the 1080 otherwise ( unless you're a hardcore brushed only guy ) the SE is the answer for a fair priced tunable brushless system. I absolutely love your channel! I 100% watch everyday

I need to see if I have any instance of the same motor twice. Or, just pick up two of something very Amazon cheap for that purpose.

Once apon-@-time my best setup was a Axial AE-2 on 4s with 10a ccbec (yes, 4s!) running a Cobalt 500 14t puller (Holmes) from waaaaay back when!! Still havent found anything with more punch and smooth starts in the brushed stuff.

I run in a local comp where the class requires 2s on a brushed motor, so there are still reasons for some of us to want a better brushed ESC that doesn't break the bank. This looks really good and I can't wait to see more!

@@themountain59 stock class...4.75" tires, stock chassis, brushed, stock shock location, no added weight... all driver save for the weak ones that use a Phoenix
@@brianmassey7563 I don’t think it’s funky. My 2021 bronco would have fit into this class before I put a fusion in it a couple of days ago. I could out crawl some of my friends who use a lot of brass. I assume you’re on the other side of the country from me. Where are these comps at?
@@HollerRC Grand Rapids in the mythical state of Michigan. I'm using a Carisma RTR with a panhard setup I made. Crawls well, just large and not so great steering angle.
@@517rctrailcrawling some myths are true. I’ve been to Kalamazoo. Carisma on the other hand is still a myth to me. 🤣 I’ve never seen one in person to my knowledge. I had to look up the pan hard. It’s strange being servo on chassis and 4 link stock. Does the pan hard make it perform any better or is it for comp requirements?

Looks a little big in the form factor so maybe we can see it next to a 1080 for the weight and size concerned. 😂 This otherwise looks like an awesome option if they release it at a solid price. And I agree with you, with the Fusion SE available, going brushed is not necessarily the economical option anymore
I have a handful of brushed setups that I wouldn't change for anything-- notably Jake and Toothless. Both 1080 G2s paired to big blocks. But I'm still not telling people to go out and buy that. That's a $100 combo, and we've got a whole lot of options under a hundred bucks.
@@CrawlerCanyon Certainly have to want it. My 10BL120 should be here today so I can ditch the Castle ESC and its whine. I really love the puller pro that's in the trx4 so we'll see how it feels or if I wish I had just gone with an 1800 SE :)

Lets hope that the price isnt too high, its the only thing that will determine if its a good or bad ESC
Will you keep it in Baseline? If you do that we can see what it does after some time, I think Baseline is the man to demonstrate what this ESC feels like after using it a lot (I dont think anything will change, anyway)
Reviews on Injoras 18-24scale ESC have been resoundingly good so far. I can only imagine this will be the exact same thing just in bigger form. I think the micro ESC is around $15-20 depending on where you buy it from. I’d guess this will be sub $50
I had the Injora micro esc in a scx24 and it was horrible. Absolutely no torque and/or low speed control. Thought it was my motor, but that changed immediately after putting in a good esc. Only good thing was that it was silent.
@@rofufoja Really? I’ve seen others that had good results with it.
Edit- now that I think of it the good results might have actually been from a 4M which already has pretty good control once you install the slow speed gears.
@@KBRC81 I saw the videos as well, that's why I tried it. On the other hand, maybe mine wasn't representative. I can't be sure. But I am not going to test it 😌
Obviously depends on the build, but the added weight of esc and brushed motor can be a killer. Packaging size as well. Brushless crawler options taking big market chunks out of brushed motors before pro/se were out. pro/se nice but way too heavy. 140a 2s/3s only is odd, derated for 4s might work well, thinking maybe its 140a peak, with like 100a normal. Almost all crawler motors are sub 100a, most of those under 75a. YES test the bottom of the barrel motors, curious and fun.
And idk much about the FOC but I would have to assume that it starts with the esc? I’m that an electric motor has no idea what to do. So is there this “FOC” in this esc.
Also the earlier esc’s you spouted off is simply effected by gears/weight tire diameter leverage and motor quality. I like my simple 2in1 that come stock in the axials they program easily and I have them running 5slots and I always run the lowest pinion size like trx/9t scx10iii 11t Capra 11t get the point. I’ve had my old wraith spawn with the 40amp in everything like old axials running the lowest pinion on a 3 gear with a hi dollar HH 16t 5slot 540 can crawl master and would start up slower than your preview here spinning a 5.25” tire.
This gives you that slow with the feel of a second gear which I can appreciate and you do not get with what I had just stated that second gear feel. Your trapped at picking up the rig most times and low gear trapped. I like this option I want to de case a 1080

I put the injora brushed esc on my 1/18 and it’s awesome, I assume this one is likely a scaled up version so they probably just added more awesome to it and sent it out.
If this is 30$ or below, Injora will be taking over the market🤘 Or, 1080's might become cheaper 🤷♂
RCing in the 80s-90s left me with a soft spot for brushed setups. No mather how good a Rhino 80A or a Fusion SE is, they don't "feel" like brushed.
I wonder how much faster this ESC-brushed combo drains the battery🤔
Brushless is just more efficient-- after all, it's right there in the name: nothing is touching inside the motor. But, or more accurately, BUT... we have so much battery power nowadays I'm not sure it matters. Back when a battery could get you 6 minutes, sure. But now a tiny LiPo gets at least half an hour, and you can fit a few in your pocket.
And I only say I would take this over an older 1080 because of the smoothness-- let's not forget that Hobbywing updated the 1080 and
Is Injora really gonna drag me back into brushed motors? Like you said, the price is key. If it's more than $60 or so, it's hard to see the point.
For me, $40 is the absolute top end. If this drops at $30, they've got me.
Certainly looks great with that motor combo. Like you said it needs to be tested with the worst motors and if it still works then its a winner. Depending on the price Injora charge it may be worth it. However I think it needs to be cheaper than a 1080 because over here in the UK for £71.99 i can get a 1200 fusion se. A 1080 is around £40 and a decent motor is going to cost £20+ depending on what you buy, a Holmes trailmaster or crawlmaster is £25 so over all only a few pounds less than a fusion. I dont own a fusion yet it is my next purchase. I do have a few brushed motors though inc an Injora crawler motor so if its cheap enough its on the list.
I agree 100%. This thing has to stay below the cost of a 1080, because the Fusion SE exists. This is why I'm not telling people to go out and buy a 540+ and a 1080-- it's a fantastic combo, but priced right in between a Fusion SE and a Rhino outrunner combo. It's a setup you'd have because you want it, but there's absolutely no need for it. It's a carburetor in a sea of direct injection.
you should try running it on a stock ascent 42t 550 just to see what happens

I wish injora would put the 140a esc into production. they have a 480a brushed esc, but I don't know anything about it.
I feel like that review was done AGES ago and the ESC isn't available. Same for the program card.
Will the hobbywing card connect to the Injora? Other brands use the similar card.

To me this is too late to market unless it costs $30. In storage, I have 3 used brushed motors, 2 trx4 ESCs and a 10.3 based lcg rig that had its 2 in 1 taken for a trx4. If I sell that rig, I’ll likely put a used 1080 or a trx4 esc in it. If I keep it, it’s getting a fusion se. The battery life on brushless is like having an extra battery or more.

mr c, do you know if injora ever mass produced this esc? i have emailed them, and they dont have any clue as to what im talking about. i nam trying to build an entirely injora rig, and would love to have one of the injora 140a esc for it.
The email responses are along the lines of "this item will be ready in a few weeks or more," but it's been five months already. So I have no idea.
Pre 8:21 you said they opted for black and yellow motor wires ?? On my screen it looks like red and yellow so have you changed the wires ??.
Lost in translation (wink) as I said black and yellow but meant red and yellow. I don't know if I've ever seen an ESC with two red wires on it. Or a yellow "negative."
I would like to see a shootout with all three ESC`s, the 1080, the ARC2, and the 140. If you send me your address I will send you a ARC2 to do the test with, you may even want to do a quick view of the ARC2.

Speaking of the gold surpass V2..did you know it is only to be driven on 2s...mine run so hot on 3s and i went back to ali dealer and he and spec say so!!!
Well, don't tell the five I own, because none of them have ever been run for even one second on 2S. They've all been on 3S since they came out of their boxes. Voltage doesn't make motors overheat. Gearing does.
I've also tested a near-vintage Mabuchi 540 on 4S, and it was just fine. The ages-old rule is, "volt up, gear down."

I'm using a fairly expansive collection of Injora servos, have tried/tested a handful of Injora motors, and haven't had any problems with any of it. Something tells me you're talking about mini/micro stuff, with which I have no experience-- and intend to keep it that way.
