Fun fact: ADDICT is in fact, more backstory. But it's backstory to how Angel Dust is an abuse victim(sexual and others), and it's a backstory on how Cherri is to this day. Also fun fact, the places she's blowing up? All related to Valentino, Angel Dust' abuser.
Side note: Angel Dust' VA from the Pilot, actually sang this song!
That VA is names Michael Kovach! And he’s absolutely amazing!

Fun fact! The person singing for Angel Dust in Addict is his original voice actor from the show, Michael Kovach and he had no formal singing training or anything like that! I still think that’s absolutely amazing! They just asked him to sing for it and he did!
Shame he's been recasted for the actual series. But let's hope that new VA is no less talented than Michael.

@@possibly_stupid i recently started burlesque for the purpoise of wanting to learn to walk in heels, i stayed because despite me thinking i'd hate sexualising myself like that, i actually loved it! It's giving you the ability to own it instead of society owning it, and being able to enjoy it. It's a hard to explain expirience but i'd highly recommend you try it and then make a desicion unlike i did. It sure changed my mind.
For your question about whether or not Angel Dust is a spider, Mathew; yes, he is. He is a spider demon, and his design is based off of a jumping spider, iirc. Bonus: Alastor is a deer demon! It is highly theorized if not outright confirmed that this is a reference to his death.

Apparently he was hiding one of his victims body and a hunter mistaken him for a deer and shot him. Then a dog finished him off.

Also heard a theory that the deer motifs are in reference to the wendigo, implying he was a cannibal.
Also I’m not sure if this was confirmed but Angel has a twin sister named Molly and an older brother. They are all spiders in this world because their family is a mafia crime family so them being spiders depict the web of connections that they had. Also another theory: Anthony (Angel) was kicked out when he was a teenager for being gay so he did sex work to pay for the things he needed. He also did drugs and eventually in his late 30s he overdosed and that’s how he died. Like this song says, “For the way that I am

Ever since i first heard Addict, i couldnt help but think it is the perfect song to represent hypersexuality without over romanticizing it like so many songs do. Ive struggled with feelings of not being worthy of any attention unless i sexualize myself since i was 13 and it makes things so difficult to live day to day. Addict truly puts it into words while having it be an absolutely amazing song sound-wise

Thirding this. I wasn't always a fan but he has shown marked improvement song to song, and he keeps things canon in the series. For him, the more recent the better, Sure to Drown kicks so much more ass than I was prepared for, and it pairs beautifully with Smile Like You Mean It, which Sure to Drown references (so Smile, then Drown). I listen to Smile Like You Mean It when I'm having a rough day at my retail job, lol.
Fourthing this!! Paranoid DJ is MY FAVORITE fan artist maker of hazbin hotel. They are so good at voice acting!!

On topic of Hazbin, I'd wholeheartedly recommend a video or two for PARANOID DJ's fan songs, they feel incredibly on-brand and as if they could show up in the show themselves.
There is also a song called Valentino it is fan made by an animator in the hazbin pilot
I definitely recommend watching the animation as well but I'm pretty sure the song itself was made by an artist called MNEK and Years & Years?

If it's the same Valentino, than it is made by ParanoidDJ, and yeah it was later made into an animatic, and it is very good!
I did my first ever burlesque act to Insane, and the repetitive lines and chorus were great for setting up with the audience when particular moves were going to happen, the times when clothes would come off etc. It was so much fun (and lipsynced too cause...how could you not?)
Gabriel Brown (aka Black Gyph0n) and Michael Kovach (the singing voice of Angel Dust in Addict) are in a video game that's currently in development called Billie Bust Up. It's a 3D platformer musical, both play villains with their own songs!
I highly recommend listening to their song "I've Had Enough Of You" (the main villain song of Michael's character, Fantoccio)! The composer, Daniel Ingram, is well known for his work on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Michael gives an awesome performance fit for the theatre!

Also, Mat, I recently discovered a fanmade song for Cherri Bomb. It might or might not be the actual VA, but it sure does sound like her. It resembles the Addict sounds but more mindslaps. You can listen to it whenever you feel like it. It's titled "POP!".
Addict is my favorite song!!! And nobody but the people of the internet know that I watch Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Or listened to the songs that go with them.

I suspect you could pull off an Angel Dust cosplay, but after googling it I have to warn you that there are a few REALLY good ones out there that are the game to beat.
Cosplay isn't a competition, there shouldn't be this mentality that someone needs to "Beat" someone else. Cosplay is purely to show love for different characters and media :) Doesn't matter if it's made of a 100$ fabric or an old bedsheet

Funny you should mention wanting to dance in a club. Apparently at least a few clubs (strip and otherwise) have started playing Addict as part of their regular line up.
Every time I listen to Addict, no matter if it's the original, the rock, or Annapantsu version, I get a sort of high that makes me super happy and like, full of adrenalin. This has been my favorite song for over a year and will always hold a special place in my heart ❤❤

The best thing about Angel Dust is that he LOOKS like a spider at first glance, and he SEEMS like he's dangerous when we first meet him. But he actually has only 6 limbs. He's the insect, and he's still heavily associated with spiderweb because he's a victim.
This character is so tragic, a real lesson of character design, here.
he has 8 limbs, 4 arms he keeps out, 2 he keeps inside (and used to shoot ser pentius) and his legs.

Since you've started reacting to the Owl House, I'd love to see you react to its sister show; Amphibia, as it just aired its finale. If you want to do another video of Hazbin hotel music, I recommend One Hell of a Team by AmaLee and Divide Music, and Valentino the Angel and Vox cover/animatic. The first one is inspired by the series and goes so well with Charlie and Alastor's relationship. The second one dives a little deeper into the lore and backstory of the series regarding Valentino, Vox, and Angel. Both of the songs are 10/10 and will definitely get stuck in your head

Addict and Insane are two of my favorite songs, and watching you react to them was awesome! While I do wish you would’ve paid a bit more attention to the graphics in Addict (seeing as it tells a huge story line that’s relative to Angel as a character), it was great regardless!

All you need to know is that the genuinely good Royal Vizier of a distant land has in an act of desperation stolen a magic lamp from the actually wicked Aladdin and is now struggling with the moral quandary around his actions. In a moment of trying to rationalize what to do, he begins to get advice from characters from his dead wife's stories.
The entire play is amazing but this song is my favorite out of it.

From what I know, the reason for the amount of autotune on Angeldust's voice is because the original voice actor of Angel sang it and it's kind of hard to sing while doing an impression.
